Your all playing Azir incorrectly.

Azir belongs in the top lane.

Why?

Because

Pro's

-Can poke and farm from a huge distance. -Can deny farm from and stacks from people like nasus. -Very hard to be poked -Even out ranges the annoying Gnars boomerangs -Most Top champs that scale with Armor and are better with it will be forced to build MR. (Malphite, Rammus) -Only counter I've found is Jaycee if you can't hide behind minions.

Con's

-Don't overextend since the top laner will be begging for ganks. -If you do overextend, become competent with the W + Q + E combo. -Ward

In mid you can be poked down extremely badly by champions that can rival you (ironically ) and others such as . Not to mention you can be ganked harder.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. Try it out, enjoy and remember

P.S. This is better if you have a tank jg. (Malphite, rammus)

oh ive done azir top, its where i learned to play him. Rengar is an annoying matchup but hes mostly in the jungle so its not a huge issue

But still, it's only one Azir top lane wins, and 2nd, you're fighting against a Kennen, who is also range & squishy, so this thread doesn't really uphold the actual truth of Azir faring at top lane. It's pretty bad actually, as Azir is quite vulnerable to diving-ish champs like Trundle XinZhao Tryndamere

No that was just one game I played with him. Ive played other times as azir top.

Ive played Yi, rumble, tryn, jax, even karma and many others. Even if they dive you, its a death sentence if you have your ult.

What about opposing mage matchups that go top as well? Lissandra, Le Blanc, and such? Just curious what ones cause issue?

Ryze is an easy one because of his small range. Just don't let him snare you and he will become tankier late game so you should roam once you take his tower.

Lissandras poke ability cant really reach you if you summon a soldier and move back to the max range that you can command them.

Rarely do I see a leblanc top, but she would possibly destroy you once she hits six. (And when they go top some of them go AD :P )

No, many champions can outpoke azir. He is also easily ganked in mid since its easier to gank mid.

Since many mid champs are range they can easily farm. All mid champs build mostly damage unless your going against a few who don't.

Ok i dont think its very nice to be telling everyone person that there playing azir wrong. If they can take azir mid and do well on it then theres no reason why they shouldnt keep doing it if they like it and it works. Telling everyone there playing wrong simply cause they dont take him to top lane seems kinda mean. If they feed on him then maybe there doing something wrong however it dont mean its cause they went to mid lane. Merely means there having a bad game and got outplayed.

He belongs in the Top and Mid lane as an interchangeable pick and only in specific team compositions which allow for a Mage Top Lane.

he has a lot of bad matchups top. irelia in particular. he's a good top laner but its a risky pick, you should save it as a counterpick or you're going to get owned. he's much safer mid.
