Ekko. What a Hero.
Broken Arm, Shattered chest, broken jaw and still goes back in time to fix the memorial.
This might be the first league champ I actually like as a person.

I watched that poro video where he saves the little guy...bought him immediately after! I distinctly remember just respecting the guy and getting a little emotional at the video, lol ( yes its pathetic...i am aware :P)
Hes nice, but I just cant connect with someone who is always so happy. Ekko feels like a broken person, with problems, his friend probably died. And he still seems to be good.
"If at first you do not succeed, please, tell me what that is like."
HE KNEW
There are lots of cool good guys in LoL.

These are all champs that are good guys, likable as people and known for cool feats.
seems more like an anti-hero to me (although still technically a "good guy").
and
just kinda do their own thing.
always seemed like a douche to me.

Kassadin is indeed an anti-hero. The only thing that's cool about Fizz(my personal opinion)is the fact that he's way too powerfull for his own sake, making him into an "arrogantly cool" kind of character. Gragas is the "good drunk" kind of person, if you consider slamming people with barrels good :P. Jayce is the(selfmade) Tony Stark/Ironman of Runeterra.
I hate him because his lore retconned Viktor into being a Saturday morning cartoon villain. Even after it was re-written.
I think Viktor's a cool guy, sure he may be insane and want to augment everyone, but he's the one thinking of a better tomorrow, not Jayce.
Where is all this "Kassadin is an anti-hero" stuff coming from? He's devoted his life to defending Runeterra from Void invasions.
Though a part of him died that day, he knows that he must protect Valoran from the things scratching at the door, waiting to get in and visit their torments upon the world. They are only one step away... something to which the appearance of the abomination known as ChoGathSquare.png Cho'Gath attests.
He's 100% hero.

"ONCE A SEEKER OF FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE" Heroes have no need for fringe powers, taboo arts, they have no need to venture into ICATHIA. Heroes DO NOT become one with the VOID. Heroes CAN NOT accept and become one with the alien urges that come with being consumed by the void. NOBODY has survived contact with the VOID. Heroes would rather DIE than let themselves be consumed by the Void, as the Void is regarded as the plane of existance ruled by all horrors and filth imaginable in Runeterra. HEROES DO NOT CUT DOWN ALL WHO UPSET THE BALANCE. Heroes try to save everyone, both inocent and not because they agnowledge everyone the same way as everyone can be a victim, heroes are impartial and altruistic. Kassadin only chose to protect Runeterra ONLY because he bared witness of the horrors hiding in the beyond, not because he woke up one day and thought to himself the world needs a hero. The only reason he chose this path is because he isn't human anymore. Nobody would ever accept him as he is since he's part of what the whole of Runeterra hates and fears with a passion: the Void. He bared witness to the part of existance all horrors reside, horrors that could possibly make ChoGath appear mingle, and he chose to protect the balance so they don't brake through. NOTHING hints at his supposidly noble intentions(you said he's a hero right?).
Balance must be preserved: Doesn't seem to me as something a hero would say. A hero would try to spread awareness to all, and try to save both those who suffered and those who got consumed by power. Silence!: A hero does not demand, command, oppose. Justice will be served: Something arguably heroic, but as well as something a punisher/vigilante would say. Balance above all else: A hero regards the lives of the innocents above all else You are null and void: Heroes do not verbaly attack their opponets, heroes respect their opponents. Try that again: Heroes do not provoke their opponents, heroes respect their opponents.
Letting the Void into his body was the only way to escape, it's not like he wanted to. It also says that he overcame the alien urges that come with it.
The power of the place threatened to consume him forever, but Kassadin took the only route available to him in order to survive - he let the Void inside him. Miraculously, he was able to overcome the alien urges that went with it, and he emerged as something more than human.
And his seeking of forbidden knowledge has little to do with his status as a heroic figure. He sought knowledge. Never said he was gonna do anything with it.
Once a seeker of forbidden knowledge, he discovered that what he sought was something else entirely.
^ That's literally the only line on the subject. He wants forbidden knowledge?! So devious! What an anti-hero! Lol
And as for him telling everyone... why would he? It's more hero-like to NOT tell them given the lore.
Within a decaying cyclopean city, Kassadin found secrets of the kind that he will never share - secrets that made him quake with fear at the visions of things to come that were thrust upon him.
Hell the duck nah he isn't gonna tell anyone. Not after what he saw.
And when he speaks of balance he means the balance of Runeterra and the Void aka to maintain balance he will ensure the Void stays in the Void.
And every quote you tried to explain makes no sense. Watch I can make something completely out of nothing too.
Justice, by law or by sword: Means he will kill citizens who the law cannot judge.
Who dares defy my will?: Jarvan, the cruel tyrant he is, does not allow for democracy .
Where is the thrill of carnage?: Sion questions how one can find thrill in carnage, being the pacifist that he is.
Note that most of the time when Kass is speaking he is speaking of the Void and to the Void. So when he talks about balance over everything and keeping the balance of power he is talking about keeping the Void locked up in the Void since it's disturbing the balance of the 2 realms when the Void invades. I mean, it's pretty obvious if you read his lore what his intentions are.
Oh and on that. Nothing hints at his noble intentions? How about DEFENDING THE WORLD?! He's the freakin' Superman of Runeterra defending the world from alien invaders. You think he does this for some personal gain? No, he's doing it to save mankind, yordles and whatever else lives in that realm.

I was going to bother, but then I remembered to whom I'm actually wasting my time to and on what place for what a topic, and then I noticed I'd already replied. Damn.
When you target the person instead of the response it makes it look like your afraid of what they are saying.
You were proven invalid but instead of accepting that the other person was right you decided that the topic doesn't matter. Stop lying to yourself.

One would only get their nickers in a twist only when failing to realise we're in an open environment with multiple opinions all different from eachother. I couldn't care less what a bunch of strangers over the internet across the planet think about me. I have those who know and apriciate in actual real life to worry about what they think of me. Meanwhile you all can keep downvoting/upvoting eachother to give purpose to the time you waste arguing. Cheers ya'll

Kassadin's story is basically that he stumbled upon the Void and learned terrible secrets and is now devoting his life to keeping whatever he saw from happening by battling to rid Runeterra of the Void invaders.
Hardly an anti-hero.
Well, the thing is that he is "good", but seems prepared to use any means necisary to fulfill this. He even broke League rules (when that was still a thing) and attacked Malzahar. Pretty much the trademark for an anti hero.
You have to realize though that he is basically the only person in Runeterra so far that has seen what the Void has planned and the desire to stop it. No one stands by him so he has to resort to underhand techniques to complete his goal.
Kassadin is the only Person in Valoran that openly fights the void. He is a one man army against other worldly invaders.
Batman also does under handed things sometimes but he is still considered a hero.
Kassadin is the batman of Runeterra.
Fizz looks like a good guy, but then you realise that his staff is made out of cancer and infects people with it as an on hit effect.
Yo,what about
?
Fizz is hardly a good guy. Yeah, he want's to know what happened to his people and would be thrilled to get them back, but nothing about him strikes me as "good".
Gragas is a wildly violent drunkard, the only reason anything good has come of him is that he drunkenly stumbled into an argument and then started a fight in one of the few places that can consider fighting as bonding. That and the whole situation was saved by arguably the best diplomat in League, Ashe.
Lee Sin doesn't strike me as that heroic. Sure, he lit himself on fire to try and get support against Noxus and that takes some serious guts. However, he has the ability to nullify the pain and nearly remove all damage it could do (except to his eyes). When lighting yourself on fire is similar to running through a blackberry bush and then taking a bath in lemon juice, only less painful, then that isn't that heroic. Especially when you could actually fight against the invaders like many of the other Ionians did. I mean seriously, one guy lighting himself on fire is not going to help when there are already thousands who are getting slaughtered daily.
Jayce is pompous, overconfident and disrespectful. The only (arguably) heroic thing he did was attempt to reclaim something that was stolen from him, fail, and then frame someone as a villain (for more than just thievery). I mean really, the only thing that Viktor has done that is vaguely bad is steal one power source that the government of Piltover didn't want enough to even file a complaint. Jayce went against his superior's wishes, destroyed a potentially very useful artifact and ruined someone else's scientific works. What the heck, Jayce.

Fizz is a hero to the people of Bilgewater. He started off kind of annoying them and then defeated a dragonshark and now stands as a guardian to his newfound home there.
I think Gragas could go either way. I agree that his actions might not be welcome elsewhere. But so much about heroism is contextual.
You are just kvetching about Lee Sin. He fully intended to martyr himself and only held on as long as he could to make sure some action was taken. By basically his actions alone the invasion of Ionia was stopped. He is one of the biggest heroes of LoL.
There is nothing that says he is any of those things you label him as. He enjoys the spotlight and that is about it. Viktor killed some folks and blew up a bunch of property stealing the artifact. Jayce went after him because he didn't want the tone to be set that you could just come in and take whatever you wanted from Piltover because the government was too afraid of outright aggression. Another obvious hero of the people.
Ok, I might have been mistaken with Fizz.
I am not with Gragas. His only goal is to make the best beer. He accidentally helped Ashe in a diplomatic situation, and then proceeded to go back to his drink. He had one thing that was vaguely heroic and would be considered villainous if he had done it anywhere else, along with (I am sure, but it isn't listed) tons of bar fights which would inflict plenty of damage on the non-champion folks and property. Nice guy material right there.
Ok, there is no way that Lee Sin's actions stopped the invasion of Ionia. Why would one dude burning himself inspire people to try and stop the war more than a crap ton of people getting slaughtered? How did the decision process go? "Oh thousands are being slaughtered. No big deal." "But there is this monk burning himself!" "What?!? This changes everything!". If that is the case then Valoran is in trouble. Also, now that the IoW never existed, burning himself would do nothing anyway since there would be nobody to convince to make Noxus stop other than Noxus itself, and they would be more likely to stop if he just used his strong proficiency at fighting to kick them out.
Did Viktor kill anyone? Maybe, Jayce's lore has Viktor "incinerating the lab's meager security force" on his way out. However, it also has Viktor "effortlessly blast[ing] Jayce aside". Why would Viktor blast Jayce aside and then incinerate some other folks? Viktor is logical and lacks emotion, so he would likely treat any person equally. As such, he wouldn't knock someone aside effortlessly and then incinerate a bunch of folks that were likely not much more of a threat instead of, say, knocking them aside effortlessly. As such, it should be concluded that in a city of machinery the security force would likely not be people if you consider Viktor's actions. Also there is no reference to him causing damage to property except for the security force. Jayce on the other hand smashes Viktor's acolytes aside, and those are definitely people. Then he proceeds to break the crystal and run away while everything is on fire. Sounds to me like Jayce was responsible for a heck of a lot of property damage, as well as the destruction of a very useful power supply. NIce job breaking it, "hero". As far as his personality, he was trying to make a name for himself with the crystal before Viktor took it. Not so bad, most folks would like to do that. But then he decides that Piltover won't be safe unless he attacks Viktor. Why in the world would that be? Viktor came for one thing, acting as a single man. He didn't have Zaun backing; Zaun barely even has a government. Sure, he could go and break the crystal to stop Viktor from realizing his goals, but how does that protect Piltover? Simply put, it doesn't. All that did was set back one guy's progress on his dream. Viktor will just get back to work, and the next time he needs something from Piltover he will have better reinforcements to deal with Jayce. Will his actions affect anyone else? Unlikely, I doubt very many people will hear about it in Zaun since Viktor isn't the type to run around saying "Oh man, this hammer dude wrecked my stuff after I stole from Piltover". Speaking of people hearing about it, how did the citizen's of Piltover hear about it? The only thing I can think of is Jayce telling them since the government wouldn't risk doing it and looking like they backed his actions. Considering the people's reactions to Jayce's actions, he would have to have told the story a bit differently than how it actually happened. tldr: Viktor only stole the crystal. Jayce has no problems hurting people and has problems thinking through his actions. He is also likely a liar with a big ego.

Haven't gotten around to watching the movie yet :(
the movie is good but.....the ending kinda shits all over the original series and what it stood for
Indeed. I don't even think I've screamed that much about an ending and felt so torn about it afterwards.
Rebellion is pretty much Paradise Lost with Homura being cast as Lucifer.
I think you can get a pretty good idea of post-Rebellion Homura out of that.
what, you don't like Diana?
You monster!

I am really interested in how his kit will work. How can you effectively make someone who can timetravel in a MP game? I can see it in Single easily enough, but just seems like a hellstorm if done wrong in MP. Especially if he can chain that "reset button" multiple times. Is it global? Does it lock to a small area around himself? What if someone enters his AoE after he sets it up (if limited range), what happens? Would it allow him to lock an enemy in place effectively for several seconds so his jungler could get to the area?
I could almost see him using it seeing an enemy gank on a different lane, if global, just to show the "what if you don't pay attention you idiot" that was going to happen?
check out Chronos' ult from Smite, that' probably similar to how his kit will work, maybe even a time slow ability, ie, aoe "bubble" all players and abilities that go through it will be slowed... imagine a skill shot going through the "bubble" and it decreases in speed by 50% so you can just walk away from it. This could be really effective since we have loads of skill shot champs now, even ryze has/will have skill shot lol... i dunno, just my thoughts
Is it only my imagination or there is really a painting of Jinx on the left side of the memorial?
As much as I like a character fighting through their injuries, risking his life for a memorial seems kind of disrespectful to those that care about him and are interested in his safety. Looking forward to seeing him on the field :)
We don't know if there is anyone who cares about him. Maybe that's why he fixed the memorial.

There were probably family members that lost their children and cant find them anymore (maybe due to Zauns many street catching kids for horrifying scientific experiments), maybe thats why the mourn wall was so well kept and maybe thats why Jinx is so crazy, girl must have lived trough many experiments that screwed her head up.
