Is there a reason 90% of my "item" drops from the creep waves are gold?

Getting real tired of having to spam rerolls to get decent units so I can keep up with the rest of the people in the game because they get a handful of items and all I ever get it is MAYBE 1 item and gold whereas they're sitting on 2-3 full items by krugs

Gold drops are garbage and you know it.

Thats why you get gold so you can reroll to keep up with items

Because your bench is full, so the little champion drops are converted to gold, as well.
