Normalize Item drops NOW!

Last match I got only 1 drop from the 3 neutral waves at the start. Got rolled over by people who got 3 and 4 drops. Next neutral wave no items. Then I was gone cause I have 1 completed item (from carousel) vs. 3 completed items in most cases. Items in most cases matter way more than Champions. Normalize the drops. My suggestion is having every neutral completion drop 1 item, and the RNG can be random items. The current state is far too roll of the dice to be anything but a "for fun only" game mode.

Yep. This mode hardly involves tactics. Unless you consider getting lucky rolls with 100% RNG "tactics". Random champs. Random items (that may or may not even drop for you). Really, really stupid.

I just lost a game because I got a total of 2 items across ALL camps until I died... I got matched against someone after the first minion waves that had 1 full item and 4 components.

Yeah items definitely need work. In Riot's defense it's not unique to this game, the og dota mod handled items the same way and it was a problem there too. With the ease that you can combine items in this though, it feels way too easy to stack high tier items on a unit and face roll. Underlords does it the best way I think, you basically get a selection of 3 if you beat the wave and the worse you do the less selections you get, but it's set for each wave. Would be cool to adopt something similar or at least tune them way down. Getting 1 v 9 by a Nidalee sitting on 3 items doesn't feel great.

i dont mind rng on WHICH item i get, i think its still dumb but i can live with it. getting LESS items than other people is bullshit entirely.

I love how League ripped off auto chess so hard that they forgot to fix the most problematic part about OG autochess. Now League is going to have to rip off underworlds just to balance it. 0/10 for critical thinking (or thinking in general) by the Riot dev team lmao

Oppoenent comes in with 3 lvl 2 voids and 2 complete items. At least it was funny

I got 5 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 and none of my champs used mana. Felt like old times of selling all your items and buying tears

Without changes to item drops, TFT will not be viable in a Ranked environment.

There isn't really anything wrong with RNG, Hearthstone is full of RNG but people love that game. Some randomness makes it fun and makes your decisions in the present more valuable. But I do very much agree that having the amount of items that can be dropped is just too much, while the item should be random so that you can try and build synergies around the items that you get, everyone should get the same amount if they are able to defeat the minion waves.

played a game with friends were i got one item dropped from neutral and everyone i fought had two completed items an an additional component, got steamrolled while teaching them how to play, THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME

I mean one way to preserve some of the RNG while making it less painful is make the final Minion/Monster in each wave drop one item guaranteed- so if you beat the encounter you always get SOMETHING as long as you can clear the round. Having that plus the carousel items will make it so you can't be completely frozen out by bad luck.

I like how Dota/Valve does thier drops. 1 is guaranteed, u pick between 3 if you win. So there is no RNG in how many you get, only RNG of what you get to pick from, EVERY one gets the same amount.

This mode wreaks of corruption and favoritism. Think of how easy it would be for Riot to grant certain players better or more frequent drops over others. We would have no way of really proving this beyond conjecture and it's clear potential for existing.

**However, my comments about corruption notwithstanding, it's a garbage game mode because it depends too heavily on randomization. I hope in the long-run it bombs, blowing up in their stupid faces. **

I killed dragon and didn't get a freaking item. The amount of RNG for a "tactical" game is hilariously stupid and i am not in the slightest satisfied with the current state of this game mode. Tactical is about making decisions. There is no decision to be made when the very chance itself for item drops is not guaranteed, and then when you do get an item, that item itself is random.

Riot please fix this, make it so that the items themselves are random, but the droprate is set so I don't face someone with 5 completed items while I have 1 completed item and 1 part of an item.

Yeah I'm not sure why they didn't think for two seconds about how stupid of an idea it was to make the number of components dropping different to each player arbitrarily.

Every player should get the amount of items necessary to plateau out the number of items each player has by the end of the carousel.

So if one player gets two components on the first wave and none on the next two, as an example. Another player could get one on the first wave and one on the second wave and none on the third. Etc...

This would need to be adjusted later when people pull champions out of the carousel that have a full item versus a component or remove full items off champion picks.

The worst part about this is that riot didn't even address this in the most recent patch notes.

i'd be more happy if they'd said "We have heard all of your complaints about items, and we don't care. Go fuck yourself, community!"

That would make me happier. Honesty.

At least then I know they at least listen to their player base -- They just don't care.
