How is TFT at the moment?

I remember when it first came out, it was an unbalanced, buggy, RNG-heavy mess of a game and shortly after stopped caring about it.

But now I'm curious, how playable is it now? I'm considering on getting back into it if it's in better shape or is relatively playable.

Give it a try and find out yourself. It seems good to me, but you're coming in really late in this TFT cycle. Next set comes out mid March.

It is and always will be unbalanced and RNG-heavy. You can controll the battlefield enough to hit 4th place and climb so its not that scary... everyone cant build the same OP stuff because they will not get items/units necessary to win ;)

its in a horrible and boring state imo, set one was way better after they ironed out the wrinkles...

Sounds like nothing has changed since you left.. Spatulas are much more rng based now though as you can no longer pick them up through carousel..

Pathing is pretty bad Spellcast animations are too fast on some champs Malphite , too slow on others Senna Some items are useless, or just regular bad (Zekes, item 3748, item 3190) Some items are too situational (Hush, item 3087, item 3751) Some items are so strong they are core on nearly any champ that can use their stats (No AP on non-AP scaling, no cast-proc items on non-casters, etc. (Zephyr, QS, item 3053, item 3142, item 3153)
