Why is Pyke's ultimate called 'Death from Below' when he stabs the area from above??

Literally unplayable

He dives into the ground and re-surfaces at target location. He comes from below.

Because he literally doesn't do that. Watch the animation again.

He jumps then dives then comes back up almost instantly. Thus from below.

The world is flat so up and down is relative.

I think when he ults, he quickly dives in the phantasmal water-ground-thingymabob and pops up just as fast, thus making him appear like he's hitting from above.

The water X is what kills them, Pyke just jumps into it to trigger its BOOM.

His ult is his knife marking for the Leviathan below.

It's called decoy, he's trying to trick his enemies into guarding wrong direction. It's like that " kore wa zombie desu ka" show, ppl shout "kick !" but then swing the chainsaw instead.

It's cool how you hear a drowning sound if you fall prey to it

I KNOW RIGHT??? It doesn't look AT ALL to me like he comes from below!

It also bothers me that Pyke tells people they get their share of gold when he is actually multiplying the amount of gold from kills.

In the teaser it worked that way, but ingame, and in champion spotlight, you can see that it doesn't jump and stab the X, but actually goes underwater and surfaces quite fast under the marked enemy, dealing a powerful uppercut with the knife in his hand, that also causes the X splash zone

He jumps, dives under the ground and emerges on the X. Look at how he ends his animation, the dagger points upwards.

Because his target it below while he comes from above.

The ultimate is also an execution so death does come from below.

When Pyke jumps you are basically below him, and thus the act happens below so .. I guess that's .. I donno

he comes up from bellow by jumping and diving into spectral water to come up and murder them. from below. thats why he blinks to their location...

Umm watch the animation? Slow it down. He comes up from underneath them. (yes it's kinda stupid that he jumps first.) But it's still technically from below.

Because!!!! Pyke drowned .... he came from below the ocean to bring death ... he is the death from below ... :333

They could had made the animation a bit better, but yeah, he does jump up from the pool X, but first he jumps down. overall it looks like he's above the X...

When he executes you he actually comes from below the ground.
