3-Star Veigar Spell needs a slight nerf.

Just having him with 3 stars, regardless of comp, make almost any opposing team comps (especially those who cant get to him immediately), insignificant. An immediate deletion of any champion he ults who is also not 3 stars, with no reliable way to counter that, besides making him unable to use his spell, or being one of 4 champions (2 of which require RNG/timing to even get a chance to survive), it way too strong. Most of the time. even by late game, you may have only one or two 3 star champions. Meaning anyone else is simply waiting to be deleted. They could be the tankiest champions. But unless they are 3 stars, you have both Shyvana and Sol deployed for the Dragon buff, or Kayle/Kindred times a good spell, they are dead.

Now this may not be that bad if his spell was a really high mana cost. Nope, 85. And he is a sorcerer/yordle. Meaning 3 sorcerer/yordle buff makes him generate 2x mana per attack, and he can dodge attacks (25% chance). Obviously he gets a SoS or 2, a Seraph's Embrace, or maybe even a GRB or a RFC to allow him to attack from range safely and quickly. He has no real need for ability power since it is a guaranteed 100-0 for anyone lower in star count than him, and sorcerer buff already gives him more.

I would recommend making his spell:

At 1 star:

  • Normal damage values for all champions regardless of enemy star count. (unchanged)

At 2 stars:

  • Instantly kill only 1 star champions. (unchanged)
  • 1/4 health (minimum) 2 star champions. Ignores items and MR until minimum damage is reached (true damage). Then calculates remaining damage with items and MR accounted for.

At 3 stars:

  • Instantly kill only 1 star champions. (unchanged)
  • 1/2 health (minimum) 2 star champions . Ignores items and MR until minimum damage is reached (true damage). Then calculates remaining damage with items and MR accounted for.
  • Normal damage values for 3 star champions. (unchanged)

might as will delete him because he is garbage out side of his niche of getting lower stars champions, why should i even bother risking 3 staring a tier 3 if he cant nuke a lone 2 star unit with his ult when i can get 2 stars Brand /AurelionSol way easier and nuke whole boards..

if anything vieger need targeting buffs so he can target 1 star Kayle instant of that 3 star Garen

My only gripe so far with the Veigar Unit is how his Ultimate VFX get bigger & brighter the more he's leveled up. I know it's supposed to be for dramatic effect, but It's not something I'm a huge fan of.

I actually think he is fine. He is not even easy to get to 3 star, and then half the time he gets melted anyway. Half the ADCs can already 1 shot most champs. Sol with the right items and sorc comp can nuke a whole team. You seen Varus with deathcaps use his ult on a team yet? Holy hell! So no I don't see an ability that hits only 1 champ as that strong, other than the fact it can hit anybody in the back row. But ya, I guess if you have a 2 star with lots of health, it probably should not jsut be deleted automatically.

Veigar is incredibly weak at 1 star and mediocre at 2 stars so there should be a decent payoff for keeping him until 3 which isn't easy to do. He can still be killed easy just like he can 1 shot everybody but 3 stars. I don't think something is an issue when it might happen 1 every 200 games. 9/10 i'm usually swapping out Veigar in sorcerers for someone like Sol or Karthus because they hit mulitiple enemies.

Veigar is 100% fine. Not the best not the worst.
