As a composition, they are a total noob trap.
But on top of that, Graves, Twisted Fate and Gangplank are some of the worst units in the game.
Gangplank in particular is terrible for a 3 gold unit: not enough ofensive stats for a swordsman, melee gunslinger (that's horrible, for Gods sake), and he needs a trillion years to use his ult.

Heroboy101 votesI go pirates when I want to build gunslingers/blademasters and I never give up them. Replace Twisted Fate with Pyke. Finally replace Pyke with Miss Fortune.
