Going into Late Game Without Being Able to Make a Level 3 Champion

Late game you kinda shouldn't be shooting for 3 stars right? Like you should be converting your crappy 2 stars into 5 cost 2 stars and you'll never get those to 3 star.

Can't say i feel the same. Most of my wins were without lvl 3 units. going lategame and just not finding the last pice for your synergies(looking at you, GNAR!!) however feels bad. Though the worst is going midgame and just not getting your core pieces to lvl 2, especially if you have a second piece from each but the last one for the level up just won't show. It fucks your econ, it depletes your health and most of the time, you won't be able to recover from that.

3 stars are pure luxurity that come from an lucky earlygame or good econ and some serious lategame(well past dragon) The other option is heavily investing into rerolls, and other than gunslingers with good items, i haven't seen much succes for those strats.

I have tons of games where I don't get a 3 star.. Honestly, feels a lot worse getting screwed out of items. I mean, later champs and synergies can be much better than random 3 star champs. Synergy/items are huge though. Finished games in 2nd place w/o a 3 star champ. Finished games in the bottom 3 w/ 2 3 star champs that didn't have best synergy or items..

I have seen plenty of people win w/o a 3 star..

i won a game where i had no lv 3's and only 1 champion bonus (Robot)

i had a ridiculous amount of CC though, 2 lv 2 pykes both with 2 items; Blitzcrank a lv 2 lulu with i think 1 item, I had a Brand lv 2 with i think it was a seraph's.

i don't really think you need lv 3's to win consistently unless you are hyper rolling every game specifically for that purpose. Items matter more imo and then CC and then DMG; the things you play don't really matter as long as it does 1 or multiple things well, that's one of the reasons why things like Pyke, Lulu and Twisted Fate are staples to me, they just splash into almost any comp and can do a lot and even if you run 2 of them they still are really good.

So it's that good or bad? Youngsters these days can't even use proper english to for any worth.

I just finished a game where I had all 2☆s and the enemy had 3 3☆s with the following comp:

Cho with yuumi, gunblade, froz-mal Kass Reksai Volibear Karthus (pivot from morg on last 3 rounds) Lucian with disarm, sword of divine, froz-mal Graves GP with zeke's MF with tear

Giving me the following bonus

Void3 Brawler2 Glacial2 Sorc3 Gunner4

Once I got the full comp, I didn't lose a health and stayed at 22. My enemy's didn't even try to reposition to counter MF and cho slaughtering them. So that was kind of easy.

Most of my 1st place wins I don't have a 3☆.

I've had a few 1st place wins with 0 3 stars. So long as you have some good synergies and some 2-star higher cost champs it's doable. And some champs (cough cough DRAVEN cough cough) can pretty much carry a team themselves if you twink them out with items.
