Shapeshifter (Jayce/Gnar-esque) support? Any Rioters ever talked about one before?

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen where a rioter has discussed the concept of a shapeshifter support.

I enjoy theory crafting and playing with champion concepts when I am bored and I like to at least 'pretend' I know what I am doing when starting a little project. I have a rough start idea for a champ that changes form when a bound ally takes a large amount of damage or dies, but I need some goals.

Scrapped ideas / potential concepts / desired outcomes / pretty much anything that regards shapeshifters as a category in depth

I have no idea where, but in one of the latest video Jeremy "Gaming Curios," he mentions a concept of a shapeshifting champ that was tossed around sorta around when Gnar was being made (it was not Gnar) that consisted of a sentient swarm of maybe insects that could change shape and do other things like attach to allies to grant them boons. It was tossed around as a tank or as a support. However, it was sidelined because of the shapeshifter comparison to Gnar and not wanting to have too many similarities release at the same time; That being said, Jeremy stated that the developers liked the concept a lot and have held onto it for later tinkering and work, and he theorized that it may be in the works since Gnar has been well past release and it wouldn't conflict in terms of concept.
