First of All, some info on "the Pentagon"

It's a project i'm starting. 5 champions, connected by lore (also my first champions with lore). 1 for every lane and role. there's still no artwork because I can't draw, and am too lazy to spend weeks stalling this to learn to draw.

So lets get into the format of these Concepts:

It will be like this:

  • Introduction
  • Kit/Abilities
  • Interactions
  • Lore
  • Short story (event in the characters life, to give insight in character)

Introduction

Celero is the jungler on the 5 lane team. He's an assassin, and being the god of speed, he's very mobile with his basic abilities, and his ult is a godsent(haha) for ganking.

He is a humanoid figure, with slight yellow lines that resemble thunder going through his body. Being the god of martial arts, he refuses to use any weapon, prefering to use his fists.

Kit/Abilities

Passive: Speed Demon

Special info: None

Celero doesn't use mana. instead, he has a resource named Momentum. this builds up while moving, and empties when standing still. This resource amplifies his ablilities based on how high it is.

Q: Lightspeed Burst

Special info: Uses charges, Max. 3 charges.

Celero performs a short dash instantly(Dash, not blink, for Veigar E and stuff). if he hits a wall, he stops and leaps off the wall.(idk how to explain this, but its like he bounces off the wall) during this leap, you can use the dash again for another charge. If he doesn't do this it goes on a small cooldown. He can chain these wallhops, and can cast W during the chain for 50% bonus damage. Hitting a champion stops the dash behind the champion and basic attacks instantly, dealing bonus damage equal to the momentum gained during the chain.

W: Ball of speed

Special info: No cast time, castable during Q chains.

Celero throws out a ball of godlike energy, dealing damage scaling based on his AD and his Momentum in a small AOE around the first enemy hit.

E: Rapid Punches

Celero empowers his next 3 basic attacks with added effects.

1st attack: Applies on hit effects twice (doesn't apply Sheen and titanic hydra active twice) 2nd attack: slows the enemy based on momentum and you dont have to wait during the animation 3rd attack: blinks behind the enemy and gains ms based on momentum

R: Burst Of God: Infinite Speed

Celero taps into his full potential, dashing a ridiculous distance (panth ult) at a very large speed. anybody hit by him during this dash is slowed, and he creates an huge explosion at the end of it, knocking anybody caught close to him that isn't the closest person to him away 1.5 seconds after arriving and dealing medium AOE damage.

lore

There's a tribe north of the barrier. At least, there was. these people believed in a set of 5 gods, these were the Pentagon: Speed, Power, Wisdom, Sight and Fortitude. those were the main tasks of the gods, each god taking up one of these tasks. these gods were revered by this tribe, but they themselves took little interest in this tribe. until one day, on which they made a bet with a being from a dimension different from theirs. The bet was that they would survive a lifetime as a human, with only a fraction of their usual power. Celero, god of speed, was the first to take this bet, and the other 4 followed. they put life in the statues of the gods the tribe had created and inhabited these, eradicating the tribe in the process. the gods, now in human forms with a fraction of their power, all set out in different locations.

The god of speed, Celero, was thought of to be a noble and respectful warrior by the tribe. In reality, this couldnt be farther from the truth. Celero is a man with no restraint, both in actions and in words, and the only thing he respects is Martial arts and the skillfull use of it. Celero roams the land from martial arts tournament to tournament, making a living off of the prize money he gets. He has lost at times, and upon loss, often increased the prize pool of the tournament with his own money, to celebrate the skill of the participants.

"if there's one thing that's the most tiring, it's the travelling from tournament to tournament without my normally infinite speed."

-Celero

short story: "Disgrace of the art"

It's been a long time since he last participated in a large tournament, so Celero decided that it was time to get some more money. It was that day he noticed a tournament with a huge prize, to which "the best martial artist alive" Would be going. Celero thought: "Weird, i haven't announced my participation." He decided then that he would be participating and delivered the note that he was going to take part in the tournament.

A month later He stepped into the arena. It was filled with people. People were watching, doing workouts for the matches, or cheering family or friends on. Celero began to feel proud that his sport attracted so many people, and smiled at this amazing sight. He went on to look for an outstanding man, and saw one. He could almost feel all the gazes fixed onto that man, standing in the middle. He was a huge, muscular man, way bigger than Celero Himself. It wass then the bell rang for the first round to begin.

As Celero stepped into the ring, he noticed his opponent was visibly anxious. The bell rang again, and the man stormed at Celero. He easily dodged all the strikes this man threw at him, and ringed him out with only 3 strikes. he noticed then that the huge man had ringed his opponent out already. Or rather, his opponent had ringed himself out in fear. "this must be that man from the poster", thought Celero to himself. The next round and the quarterfinals went almost the same way, with the Man only having to throw a punch in the Quarterfinals. Then came the semifinals. Celero once again had no trouble dispatching of the dissapointingly clunky and slow Martial artist that stood before him, just in time to watch the Man battle. His motions were fluid, and every one of his strikes carried power Celero had only seen from the God of Power. Then came the finals.

As Celero stepped into the ring, he noticed a guy with a strange device walking up to him. the Man spoke in a soft voice:"Please hold your arm in front of me so i can test you for magic or other enhancements. "shit", Celero thought, "what if they find out i have a fraction of godly power inside of me!" luckily, they found nothing, but things were different on the other side of the ring, where the machine indicating magical methods to increase both power and speed loudly went off. He heard some people in the crowd go wild, saying things like: "no suprise, he's noxian" and "can't trust anyone nowadays". The only thing Celero could think of was how infuriated he was with this man. How dare he disgrace the sacred combat styles of martial arts in such a way. As the Referee came forward to declare Celero the winner, he stepped forwards and said: "I want to fight this man, with his body enhancements still working. i will show him that this trickery is of no use against a truly skilled fighter." The Referee agreed to this, but declared that, even if the man won, the money would still go to Celero.

As the fight began, Celero could feel something rising in him. Something he recognised from the time before this bet. it was his old, goldly speed coming back to him. he looked at his arms, which now had lines of yellow coursing through them. Judging by the referee and the audiences faces, they did not see this. As the man waited for him to come at him. He mustered this new power and moved forwards so fast, he had landed 25 punches before the man could react to his movements. The man tried to throw a punch, but when he had wound up for it, Celero was behind him and struck him 7 more times, catching him and pushing him to the middle in order to not get a ringout. He continued to batter the man, who had no hope of fighting back for 5 more minutes, berating him for his trickery and attempt to poison the sacred art of combat with his vile tricks. at the end of this. he pushed the battered man of the ring, took the prize money and left without a proper ceremony, nobody stopping him after this display of speed and skill.

And thats the end of this first spotlight. I hope you enjoyed it and that the lore was a good read.
