Zilean's old and needs an update. I get that no one wants that before their own pet project, but here's a thought:

So yes plz do. That game mode sounds annoying tho, what about this: a game mode that speeds up every time. Basically every tower/champ/epic monster kill speeds the game up 1 minute (think like pressing the FF button in practice tool.) it works on a meme level too. "summoners Rift but every objective speeds the game up" lol

Anime, especially shounen genre in general, has a tendency to introduce a line-up of badass middle aged men/women and the broken OP tends to be grandpas/grandmas (or extremely young, because radical). I guess skill and strength is a linear progression (exponential even) in the world of some anime.
Maybe it all started with Master Roshi.

underscores2222 votesI'd love to see him get tied into the Ithica (however it's spelled) lore - he's not from the void or void related, but his old lore was that he lived in the clocktower, was obsessed with time, and chrono-phased himself accidently and watched his city fall without being able to do anything. It's suspected that he lives near the desert from Vel's color story or lore.
Itsbeghdev1 votesUrtistan just so happened to be along Vel'Koz's path as he travelled Runeterra collecting information, but there's quite a lot of places untouched by the Void, so it makes sense that it would be close to Icathia, probably closer than most of Shurima. Urtistan's existence might not even be canon anymore since Zilean's current lore definitely isn't, though, and anyhow they should probably expand upon Icathia more through Jax and Kassadin; meanwhile Zilean should probably have some relationship with Ryze since they were both intimately personally affected by the Rune War--maybe they make common cause, maybe Zilean's time magic is powered by a World Rune and Ryze wants to put a stop to it, something like that. Also, we need clarification on a timeline of major events on Runeterra--like, at least, put the Ruination, the Rune War, and the fall of Icathia in order or something, that'd be nice lol
underscores2222 votesAh, I had forgotten his city was actually named. Jax, Kass and Malz + the void champs makes a pretty full docket for the eventual void lore update, so its very reasonable that Zil won't get folded in with them.
There are quite a few champs that just kinda exist without being attached to the main lore areas (fiddle, shaco, zil, etc) Some have gotten lore updates (like fiddle) but most have not. I wonder if they're going to just sprinkle them in between the major lore updates or hit them all at the end.

that being said, it's funny that one of his original abilities would fit right into this meta and could easily be changed to accomodate fairness
He originally had an ability called Time Twister which started an AOE damaging stun that stayed in place for a while, though naturally it was WAAAAAAY too powerful

Agent Corgi1 votesI like this Idea, maybe they can do it something like this: 1.) Zilean VGU (An Update similar to that of Gangplank or Ryze) 2.) Time-based skins old & new are released such as Young Ryze, Young GP, Young Camille, etc. 3.) Special Reskin of maps such as The Original Twisted Treeline (2009-2012 edition), Summoner's Rift (Pre-2014 update) & possibly the Proving Grounds (which is now known as Howling Abyss). All complete with Special Items that were available at the time such as Atma's Impaler, Heart of Gold, Deathfire Grasp/Blackfire Torch, etc.

underscores2223 votesRiot did an Ask Riot article on older versions of the rift - sad to say, older versions don't hold up well these days. Files are missing, the code's been updated a few times and other issues make it not-so-simple to get a taste of that ol' (insert favorite season here).
