Hello everybody, this concept is a rework of one I did like 3 years ago! It was a concept I always liked, but didn't really understand the game well enough to make her actually interesting. You can find the original concept here: The Special Champion Concept List under the Supports section.

###(I don't know who did this picture, but it is roughly what I imagine her looking like)

"Mommy I'm scared!"

"Oh and why is that honey? Did you see a monster boar? or a giant Troll? or is it the Ice Witch in your dreams again?"

"No the wind is howling, it sounds like a wolf outside my window"

"Sweet child, there is nothing to be afraid of, no no in fact that howling should make you feel comfortable and safe. That howling is Faela our villages guardian. She protects us from evil and in return we give a portion of our produce as tribute and offer our respect. Have I really never told you about her?"

"No, tell me! tell me!"

"Ok, but then its straight to bed. Alright, our story begins on the mountain..."

Hundreds of years ago before man set foot upon this icy land, there lived all manner of beings. One of which were two Giant Wolves, Mother Faela and Father Alphos, the Guardians of the Freljord and progenitors of the wolves. Massive and powerful, these two Wolves were the guardians of the land, tasked with hunting down anything that might threaten the ecosystem. They didn't know who had given them this task, they didn't care, they did it with great joy.

This went on for a long time, they were seen as the guardians of the Freljord and all the other creatures respected them. Well all but one, The Watchers, evil twisted abominations and their Witch who wanted nothing more than to see the entire world frozen and dead. It was this rivalry that had been the reason behind the creation of the Wolves, but to this day none know who had created them. Their battle with the Watchers had lasted centuries, with neither side being able to best the other. That is until small pale hairless creatures stumbled into their land looking for a home.

The Wolves saw in these creatures a will to survive that was worthy of the Freljord, the Watchers saw only more things to defile. So the Wolves began to protect them, teach them of the hunt, how to turn stones and ice into claw and fangs suitable for their odd shaped bodies. Then they taught them how to fight, for the Wolves would not be able to protect them fully from the dangers that threatened them. The beings felt such gratitude towards them they began to think of them as Gods, worshiping them, and allowing the Wolves anything they wanted.

It was these creatures that eventually rose up to fight along side the Wolves and banish the Watchers from the land forever, landing themselves a place in the Freljord for all eternity. The Wolves, no longer needed, decided to walk along side these heroes and protect their decedents, even in death their Spirits still walk beside them. Likewise these heroes and decedents worshiped the Wolves as guardians, building great monuments and offering all manner of tributes.

Father Alphos went off with packs of these heroes in order to find new settlements to live in, while Mother Faela guarded those who stayed behind.

*"So that howling you hear is Faela, watching over us, watching over you. If you are ever scared or lost, just pray to Faela and listen for her howls. Ok now off to bed, sleep soundly knowing you are protected and safe."

#Guardian's Howl

Faela will howl every 45/30/15 seconds (levels 1/8/16), increasing every ally champions Movement Speed by 20-40% (based on level). Cool down does not begin until after Guardian Howl wears off; Faela does not receive these bonuses

Faela gains a stack of The Guardian each time she gets an assist from a unique Ally. Each Stack of The Guardian gives her permanent 5 Resistances and 20 Maximum Health. Faela gains increased Movement Speed while out of combat.

#Crushing Fang
Cool Down: 15/13/11/9/7 seconds
Cost: 75 Mana
Range: 550

Faela lunges forward onto target enemy champion or larger/epic monster dealing 30/50/70/90/110 (+40% of AP) magic damage and Rooting them for 2 seconds. During this duration Faela is suppressed and unable to cast any abilities.

The rooted enemy champion will be marked by Crushing Fang, if they die while still marked Faela gains 2 stacks of The Guardian.

#Faela's Blessing
Cool Down: 23/20/17/14/11 seconds
Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 mana
Range: 750

Faela blesses target ally champion healing them for 85/115/145/175/205 (+60% of her AP[+1% per The Guardian stacks]) over 3 seconds and increasing their Attack Speed by 20% (+1% per 100 Bonus Health) for the duration of the heal.

#Monument of the Mother Wolf
Cool Down: 86/75/64/53/42 seconds
Cost: 100 mana
Range: 250; 600 Aura Radius

Faela channels for 1.5 seconds afterwards she will raise a monument in place that lasts for 45 seconds. Monuments will increase any healing done by ally champions by 10/20/30/40/50%. They will periodically create a Spirit Wolf every 30/25/20/15/10 seconds that will run towards the nearest ally Champion and heal them for 3% of their Maximum Health. These bonuses are halved while Faela is within the radius.

When the timer runs out or if the ability is recasted, the Monument will shatter giving any allies in the vicinity a shield that absorbs 60/80/100/120/140 (+70% of AP)(+2 per The Guardian stacks).

Monuments have 2 Hit Points. Faela does not receive the benefits from Monument of the Mother Wolf* healing boost, Faela's Blessing and Spirit Wolves healing are not increased by this ability. Only 1 Monument can be placed at a time and the cool down does not begin until the Monument is destroyed or its timer runs out. Can be Teleported to.

#Spirit Pack
Cool Down: 100/80/60 seconds
Cost: 100/110/120 mana
Range: 800

Faela howls into the air creating a pack of 3 spirit wolves (+1 for each nearby ally champion and enemy champion) that will run around in a large circle attacking any enemy champion within the vicinity for 15 seconds.

Spirit Wolves have 1 Hit Point and they can be hit by skill shots and targeted by enemy Turrets. (Taking Priority over Minions and ally champions)
They deal 20/25/30 (+20% of AP[+1% per each The Guardian stack]) magic damage and each wolf can only deal damage every 3 seconds.
When a Spirit Wolf kills an enemy champion, Faela will gain 5 stacks of The Guardian.

#Design

The idea behind Faela is a roaming Support that gives aid to her entire team, not just the Marksmen. Similar to Bard, you want to be roaming on Faela because her kit does not really support a 2v2 scenario. Her Q makes her vulnerable and her Monument is weakened while she is near it in addition none of her abilities are effected by it. She in fact gains bonuses for running to other lanes and aiding them rather than sitting in one lane with the Bot laner.

During laning phase you need to be roaming, racking up as many stacks of her passive as you can to increase her abilities. Once Mid game hits you should have control over objectives along with your Jungler as you are able to create pressure in any lane. Thanks to her Passive she allows her team a powerful window of opportunity to rotate to any lane or objective.

During teamfights, her ultimate creates a zone where it can be difficult for enemies to trade with her team. Its damage is minimal, but over time and with enough allies and enemies, can be powerful if ignored. However if the enemy is smart they will be run out of its range and either let it run out naturally or pick off the wolves making the ultimate a waste. Monuments are not as effective in mid-late game and during teamfights as their effects are halved when Faela is present. However they can be a powerful tool for split pushers or if a quick shield is needed.

#Champion Synergy

Faela is not a traditional Support in the sense that they are there to aid the Marksmen through-out laning phase. So a bottom laner that can survive a 2v1 with out needing to be babied is the best option when you have a Faela on your team. She can offer a ton of aid with her monument and passive, but you want to give her the ability to help the rest of your team get fed. The Marksmen she would have the most synergy with would probably be Ezreal as he is hard to catch and can farm reliably with his long range as well as poke and trade with enemies.

For Jungler, you want someone capable of keeping up constant pressure, with Faela, any gank can turn into a 3v1 or 3v2 easily. Champions like Lee Sin, Elise, Hecarim, and Kha are all great choice (no shit right? most OP junglers right now XD) because they can offer early game pressure and keep it up. However objective oriented Junglers are also viable because with Faela's help they are capable of taking things like Dragon and Rift early on. For Top and Mid, you want champions that have good follow up for when Faela lunges in with Crushing Fang, she needs to help while rooting the enemy as she is suppressed for the duration.

#Item Synergy

Faela obviously does not have much damage in her kit and her AP scalings are all horrendously low, so AP is generally not the way to go. You want items like item 3107 item 3190 (again duuuuh) to aid in her Teamfight which she isn't as strong in. Items like item 3742 item 3800 item 3060 would most likely be core on her as the added movement speed will make her roams very quick and her pressure will be doubled.

I imagine items like item 3102 item 3083 item 3053 will also be much needed. Since she roams a lot item 2045 will actually be an item you want to buy instead of have to buy because she has the ability to place deep wards all over the map.

So tell me what you think, what needs tweaking, what needs changing, what works, what doesn't, etc. As always try not to focus on the numbers and scalings, they can be changed and are only there for appearance and a rough idea of what her strengths will be. Please try to focus on the kit itself and its mechanics, these are what make the champion.

Putting numbers aside, Faela's kit doesn't have enough unique tools to be a good roaming support. Her passive simply doesn't reward roaming enough, nor does her kit support it. When supports roam, they do so to gain vision, provide aid to another lane, or secure an objective. In doing so, they miss out on EXP, which they need to stay relevant in-game. Bard's passive solves this problem, but Faela's doesn't. All it does is provide a momentary boost of speed that can be just as useful in-lane than roaming. Her (E) Monument of the Mother Wolf is also too mechanically similar to Bard's (W) Caretaker's Shrine. The same goes for (W) Faela's Blessing, which has the exact same effects as Nidalee's (E) Primal Surge. These things will likely need to be changed the most, since they really hamper the roaming support role you want for Faela, and force her into more of a heal bot role instead. You'll likely need an ability that provides mobility to allies to strengthen the roaming support aspect of Faela's identity (ex. Bard, Tahm Kench, etc.)

Faela's (Q) Crushing Fang also shouldn't suppress her. It causes more problems for her than it does for enemy champions, especially if said enemy has a spell shield or CC removal. I think it'd be better if Faela could charge up her dash (much like Varus' Q) to gain range/root duration, while removing the suppression effect. it would incentivize engaging enemies from a farther distance (which fits the roaming aspect to surprise gank another lane), while providing a form of counterplay (no longer targeted effect) and is no longer frustrating (for the player who gets suppressed).

Aside from that, Faela's (R) Spirit Pack is the definitely the most interesting thing about her. Unique ability, with good interactions between player/enemy. I would say you could take out a bit of the damage/range for some soft CC and increased movement speed to really encourage movement around the fight and employ its full effect.
