[Champion Concept] Inkus: Dashing Thief

Rew711··5 votes·606 views

Okay, lets get this over with, Inkus will be a top or jungle laner. He will be a Fighter, but I can't tell if he should be anything else really...

His stats can be configured, so...

Health: 379 (+42 per level) Health Regen: 4 (+0.5 per level) Mana: 200 (+30 per level) Mana Regen: 4 (+0.2 per level) Attack Damage: 45 (+3 per level) Attack Speed: 0.675 (+1.4% per level) Armor: 32 (+4 per level) Magic Resist: 30 (+2 per level) Movement Speed: 335

Damage: 7 out of 10 Defense: 3 out of 10 Ability: 5 out of 10 Difficulty: 8 out of 10

Lore: (summed up in a paragraph)

Inkus was always a trouble maker, but the biggest surprise was his acceptance to League. Though he was very skilled, he always got caught by Caitlyn. His feats from escaping are... measurable and he does have some skill with a sword but that's all. Or is there...?

Basically, I want Inkus to be like what Veigar is, a comedic champion that is fun to play. So, his kit:

[P] Extra Gold: After killing 3 minions, the 4th gives double the amount of gold. Killing a champion gives a bonus 50% gold, this also applies to turrets, inhibitors, and monsters. For every 20 gold stored up from the bonus, Inkus gains +1 permanent AD. It doesn't count the total, only the bonus gold retrieved.

[Q] Smoke Bomb: Inkus throws a smoke bomb to a target location to deal 50/90/130/170/210 (+25% AD) (+40% AP). This is a point and click attack. The one his will then be blind for 1.5 seconds. Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana Recharge: 12 seconds Range: 900

[W] Missed Me: Inkus can block the next spell that will hit him in the next 4 seconds. If Inkus blocks the spell, he gains double damage on his next attack. Passively: If Inkus stays still in a bush for 2 seconds, he will turn not only invisible, but intangible. Cost: 80 mana Recharge: 20 seconds

[E] Behind You: Inkus will swiftly move behind a close target. This is not a blink as Inkus will be running at a duration of 0.5 seconds to the target. When Inkus gets to the target, he gains a 50/100/150/200/250 (+50% AP) shield. Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana Recharge: 17/16/15/14/13 seconds Range: 800

[R] Time Attack: (This one is my favorite.) Inkus will slash through enemies up to 4 times. Each attack will deal x1/x2/x3/x4 of the current amount, no level up needed. The first enemy hit will get dealt the full damage, those behind will be dealt 10/20/30% less damage. Inkus deals 25/50/75 (+10/15/20% AD) (+20% AP) and can deal up to 100/200/300 (+40/60/80% AD) (+80% AP) on the last use; total possible damage is 250/500/750 (+100/150/200% AD) (+200% AP). The ultimate is like Kassadin's, so it stacks; if you do not unleash another ultimate in the next 5 seconds, it will go on cool down. The cool down is drastically lowered if you only use the first ultimate and do not use the others. Cost per use: 50 mana (total: 200 mana) Recharge: 80 seconds (60 seconds if only 3 used, 40 seconds if only 2 used, 20 seconds if only used once) Range: 700 (This ultimate will be easy to use, but its animation will be a whole 0.6 to 0.9 seconds long. The first attack will be named 3°clock. The second will be 6°clock. The third is 9°clock and the last is 12°clock. He will shout the name when it is used. You must also wait for a short 1.2 second delay before using it again, to avoid abuse. The cool down of this cannot be affected by cool down reducing items. The Recharge can be brought down with items though.)

Joke: Leans on sword but falls over. "I'm the best–whoa!" "One does not simply–whoops!" To Fiora "Hey girl, wanna go–whoa!"

Taunt: Crosses arms and shakes his head. "You disappoint me." "What's wrong?" "This will be too easy." To Caitlyn: "Where are you aiming?" To Caitlyn if she is countered by his W. "Missed me, Cait." To Vi: "Well..." To Vi if she is countered by his W. "Not today."

Dance: Dances the macarana.

Laugh: Laughs downward, the wipes a fake tear away. "Hahaha, to funny."

Depends, did you down vote?

i down voted. but instead of down voting and not commenting. i figured i would break down why i did and why this concept isnt strong. if you want advice. but your choice

Honestly, I did it for both.

The reasons for his kit are not to be changed, at all. Though his kit may seem like a whole bunch of stuff in one, I want him to be able to into many roles. If he were to jungle, I think the fact he has a blind on his Q, and a E to get behind to opponent, he will do a good job in ganking. Using his ultimate should not be an easy task, it should be able to deal some small damage to multiple enemies for a small amount of mana, and grow into a powerful attack after 3 more uses. I believe that, if he were an actual champion, he would even be able to go into mid lane. Due to his high AP he can match his opponent mages. The ultimate would be fun to see in game. To see someone just use it twice would be cool, as it would still deal good total damage in range. His W was also something I've always wanted. It won't do much without his E, and has a long cool down. A good W+E combo will do great, especially in jungle and top lane. Though, the mana on Q can be lowered since it is only so much damage.

His core concept is to be a guy who is a hunky rogue that has trouble getting to the ladies. I felt that he would be fun for Bildgewater, but changed my mind and put him in Piltover since Caitlyn is the police and besides Jinx (who is Vi's nemesis) she could use someone to always catch. In the lore, she would always catch him, and he would eventually escape and try to steal something again. He thinks its a fun game, while she just shoots at him. A thing I don't need in the lore is that he knows Fiora, due to his good swordsmanship as a hint. She is his main interest and yet she easily belittles him whenever she wants. (She also counters Inkus on several ways).

Now, when you say "the concept isn't strong" do you mean the fact I put no effort into his lore? If that's the case, I usually don't put effort into a character I'm still getting the main gist of his kit and stuff together. To me, the lore is something totally separate and doesn't need to be the main focus of the champion concept; as it can be linked to another page whole hearted to the story of the champion though up.

no im saying its not strong in the sense that in a strong reality, this champion probably wont get highly recognized or even built if it got higher in views. heres why:

  1. theres no pictures haha as dumb as it sounds, people upvote more when there are visuals. people come on the boards when their most likely bored. so visuals are entertaining.
  2. on a more serious in depth look at the champion. he isnt really unqiue enough to be made. i mean his ult sounds like MasterYi . His teleport to a champion is like Maokai . There is some difference but not enough.
  3. the true problem, and it is a problem i have come across many times is being able to see this champion played at PRO levels. If you cant see this champion at a PRO level, then there is no point. If you look at it, every champion past Gnar is played regularly in pros. Gnar Kalista RekSai Azir Bard Ekko and even the new Sion

respectably, your champion has nothing in his kit that a PRO player would use. Nothing really to help out the team. honestly, like you said, YOU should focus on him as a mid laner. Because mid laners truly have a more 1 v 1 freedom in 5 v 5 team games. and in pros. Leblanc is the best example. you also have Fizz. sad thing is, bot laners, junglers, and top laners at PRO levels look at more team KITS than what lowers divisions focus. so the days of Riven Tryndamere MasterYi type champions being released are dying. it sucks. but its the case right now.

basically your competition for a jungle with your champion is Sejuani Amumu RekSai Gragas.

those are my thoughts. i mean i do this for fun sometimes, and have concepts on these boards. and i do hope one day they go higher. but i have had to change HOW i do concepts because of this philosophy.

now on another note. you could create a UNIQUE champion all on its own. which this isnt. go to this link. This guy posted nothing more than pictures and it got sent to a LOL champion team because it was unique enough.. he didnt even do abilities.

There have been only two (maybe 3) champions in general I put thought into that can do this.

Ayleth was my first. I've done over 3 posts on him and so far, this one is my favorite. But, I haven't thought up a good look for him as of yet, but when he ults, I would like him to look like how I use to want him to look.

Akiro is my most popular. But I've recently thought about changing the name.

The last one is Baw for now, but I want a support Void champion. I thought about Jim'Baw but now it just seems silly.

No good artwork yet for this one... Please don't look Jim up though...

The passive is interesting, but everything else isn't. Sorry.
