Fizz got nerfed.

Am I the only one smiling like an evil villain?
Before he went down though he had to do one more dick move; he stole Ahri's 20% damage boost
The bastard...
Threw this together real quick:
Basically, these changes means Fizz will actually require skill to play. He actually has to hit his fish if he wants to kill you, and he won't be able to just instagib you anyway because they reduced the damage on his abilities without the amplifier. I have a feeling they were actually holding off on these changes until DFG got removed because these nerfs+DFG=HUGE BUFF. I also like how they moved the main damage on his seastone trident from its passive to its active, because it was really just dumb that his AA trade was that powerful from a single attack.
As someone who loves Fizz, I love these changes to him. I agree, making him have to hit his fish to get an assassination is the right way to approach this.
And I'll finally get to play Fizz again!
I was actually taking a break from League in part because I could rarely play him. Now he's getting nerfed and the new season has started. Woo!
Xypherous (the designer behind Fizz) commented in a Q&A that Fizz is designed to annoy the crap out of people. While I'm glad his assassination potential is being tied to his ult, I'm still going to ban him every game >:D
Designed to annoy you but also provide a satisfying feeling when you catch that bastard and wring his neck.
Issue with Fizz is that his damage values are high and troll pole has too low of a "cost" to use stupidly instead of dodging harass with it. He doesn't need to hit a shark to assassinate someone, it just ensures it. The shift around of his kit is a good direction as it starts meaning Fizz has to play more skillful to get picks instead of playing recklessly, missing crucial skillshots, and still overwhelming people through raw damage.
He's similar in that regard to Ahri before her nerfs and kit shifting in S3 where she was dominating the pro scene and you would see them miss every charm they ever threw but still easily assassinate their target through sheer numbers and mobility.
(here come the downvotes)
As far as 'healthy' assassin play, Fizz is going to be much closer to that with this change, sort of like what Meddler (IIRC) said about Zed; there's a fairly long cooldown between when Zed (and later Fizz) can assassinate you, since they're fairly dependent on their ult (at least in design; Zed is arguably overtuned and/or just mages are nerfed because of the mana changes). Also Fizz is now losing a lot of damage if he misses his E or just uses it for mobility, since his Q is nerfed pretty substantially, sort of how, in some ways, LeBlanc loses a good chunk of her damage for using her W for mobility (she still has a ton of burst even without it though).
Designed to annoy you but also provide a satisfying feeling when you catch that bastard and wring his neck.
Part of the reason I ban Fizz, besides when he's powerful he's pretty obnoxious to play against, is that because of his E and general frustration from playing vs him, I might commit too much to killing Fizz, which is pretty bad. It's kind of like how you don't just want to kill Teemo; you want to overkill him :P

lol wut. Its 90 mana at lvl 1 and 130 at lvl 5. It has a ridiculous cost, more than his ult.
Cost as in mana cost is probably not what they poster meant. I think he was talking about down time of the spell. Their is little cost in game play to using it.
Either way his statement is poorly chosen.

It was in quotes because it doesn't mean mana cost. It means opportunity cost, like how punished the Fizz is for using it. His E has become less about negating harassment in lane while farming and become a "dodge your stun and chain it as apart of a one shot combo" with an incredibly low cooldown and solid damage attached. Even Xypherous stated that Fizz, a champion he helped create, has been able to use E recklessly and get away with it which is the primary problem with the champion. You barely ever get the satisfying feeling of wringing his neck.

oh yeah i definitely agree with you there. an 8 sec cd on his e at rank 5 is rediculious.
Consider Taric's heal, so you can truly understand how meaningless your statement is. His heal starts at about 60 mana, pretty normal. At level 5, it has doubled and added a further 20 mana for a grand total of 140 mana. Keep in mind as well that he probably can't afford (and will get shit for) building mana since his power comes in the buff aura's that he gives off (also his heal does in fact heal quite a bit). Meanwhile, Fizz is building a Lichbane, and probably some other bonus mana/ mana regen item.
I also don't want to hear the "BUT THE COOLDOWN!!!" argument. He get's an improved version of flash every 8 seconds at max rank without cooldown. He can reposition, dodge skillshots, and interrupt targeted abilities chief among them: Syndra's, Vi's, Caitlyn's, Zed's Ult. While he isn't neccessarily interrupting Zed's ult in the usual sense, it stops Zed's entire rhythm forcing him to disengage to safety no matter where he is. Several blown, long cooldown Ultimates, for one, basic, ability.
That is why it is low cost.
If you'll learn how to read, I already said I misunderstood what OP said before. Put your fucking glasses on.
No one cared that Fizz could instantly kill people, no one cares that Zed can instantly kill people: It's the fact they can instantly kill people and still have so much going for them. No one liked Fizz because of his E. Honestly, simply giving it a base CD of 16 at all ranks, or even removing/nerfing the damage would have helped a lot.
Riot seems to think the players don't like that there are instant-killer assassins, we don't like instant killer assassins who can pretty much easily escape death even under CC, wave clear better than an ADC, and be no risk, high reward when it comes to going in for kills.

You don't want Fizz's E to not do damage. As it was explained to me and I agree, if his e didn't do damage then that power would be placed in the rest of his kit meaning he would then be able to freely save it for escapes rather than having to risk needing to use it to deal all of his damage.
I am sooo happy that he finally got nerfed! Hope riven is next!

No no no, I just REALLY hate Riven. I want her to be gutted so no one ever plays her and so that I wont have to see her ever again. Kinda like a lot of ppl want to happen with Lee Sin.
So, they nerfed Q and Z, left E unchanged and buffed ult.
my good old friend.
I'm looking at it as close as I can to find the buff. I really am.
But it may of actually happened.
Q/W will do a lot less damage. Even to the point where the amp doesn't make it up. But the amp on Lichbane probably will.
It also means a tank could eat the ult in place of a squishy and really weaken Fizz's all in.
This just might end up gutting him.
I'm not sad to see him go. But he was an interesting champion. No matter how much I hated him. He'll probably see a mana buff on his E.
I wouldn't say that qualifies as "gutted"

Alright, so to those who aren't actually aware this is a buff.
Q/W got nerfed but were already, effectively, the weakest dmg abilities in the entire game and it does not impact Lich which is the main strength of Q. His ult got a 20% damage amp meaning his actual burst is higher. This would impact very high AP dmg gains slightly late in the game but, as a whole, has no real impact on Fizz. Now that the active was swapped to a % per hit this means that in 3 seconds, for instance, he can deal up to 4-5x as much % dmg as the old one could in a single application. The DoT portion was truly worthless on Fizz, particularly since DoT is meaningless on a burst character. Even with 500 AP the DoT was very weak, with the DoT portion arguably being one of the worst skill effects in League history bar some passives (like old Sion ranged damage reduction, etc.).
tl;dr Fizz got buffed.

I don' think you understand how good that DoT was. 8% of the target's missing health is a huge deal on every basic attack plus flat damage. Also with 500 AP, that adds an extra 150 or so damage to the DoT on every basic attack. The DoT was extremely good. DoT on a burst also allows a burst champion to deal their burst and get away and then get the kill without having to stay around and seal the deal. They also removed the AP Ratio on his active, a big thing. The Q damage nerf was also very big. It doesn't matter if it was low damaging, it deals 60% AP and now it is 30% AP, a very small amount. Fizz is barely, but still decently, weaker than he used to be, especially since he needs to land a skill shot to deal about as much damage as before.

I'm all for looking at the positives of a nerf but this isn't exactly a buff. I don't know many games of Fizz you have played but the W dot played a huge part in Fizz's early and late game. Before he reached the 1 shot-stage stage of the game the DoT from W would be what was wrecking you every trade not the Q damage not the E damage.
While I can see the new changes with W allowing him to deal more damage with his active, at .7 attack speed unless you land a slowing E on someone without blowing your Q, you won't get more than 2 auto attacks at the most which doesn't add up to his current W damage.
The ult change is nice but most Fizz mains such as myself prefer to use the ULT after our combo due to the slow movement speed of the ult itself and being easy to dodge.
If you can survive the early game and make it to lichbane youll be in good shape but boy did levels 1-5 get ALOT harder against Mages. I have 600 fizz games over 2 seasons and he carried me from gold V to at my peak Plat 3. I'm not going to drop him or anything like that but please don't go as far to say this was a buff.
Only good news I get out of this is maybe he'll be off the ban list

Look at my reply to another poster about the DoT just above the post of yours that I am quoting. I cover the actual damage of the DoT with an example and detailed explanation. The DoT does not play any valuable role short of they would have otherwise lived with 5 hp and the DoT finished them situations where that overwhelmingly small damage would have contributed something. The damage from the E is what would be wrecking an enemy. Heck, W is the last ranked skill by almost any Fizz player, and for good reason, so it sits there doing 10 dmg a second for 3 seconds almost the entire game (a bit more with some AP but largely invisible). It is the active that was worth anything on his W and now it is even stronger. It was a buff.
With 0.7 attack speed you can get usually at least 2 autos in and then follow up with Q or E depending on how you chose to engage. You can get more autos in with your ult stuck to them as well. Usually you can expect 3-5 autos depending on if they flash or not and how quickly they get to tower safety. Even 2 autos makes it vastly superior to the DoT portion and much better then the old active. Anything beyond 2 autos is even further bonus. A single auto with the active on new Fizz would already completely out performs his entire W from current Fizz.
It is easy to dodge but it is also fairly easy to land in most cases. As a Fizz main I use it half and half because it can be useful for mind game engages but sometimes you want that CC post engage to guarantee they don't escape or that it will not miss. Even then you can use Q to engage then apply Chum amp which lasts 6 seconds giving you enough time to make use of it if you delay the use of the ult.
Levels 1-5 didn't really get impacted as the AP ratio on Q doesn't matter when you have no AP and the dmg drop is the same until you start ranking Q which comes after E and the difference is extremely minor until mid game where it is still pretty minor and more then made up for by the amp at that point. The W got buffed if you get even 1 auto off with the active, period.
It was a buff. You may have climbed to Plat 3 with him but you are not showing a clear understanding of Fizz's kit beyond mechanical use of it. Again, look at the post I referenced and you will see just how wrong you are on top of this explanation.
Assuming 3 autos with W up. Old Fizz: 1231.75 Base damage + 430% AP scaling. New Fizz: 1254 Base damage + 406% AP scaling.
This is a full burst, including ult, and 3 autos. Base damage was very slightly increased. But Scaling took a 24% hit. Most of this is in his Q. This is also assuming he uses his E for damage and not as an escape. If he doesn't E for damage, his damage is hurt even more. Although I did forget to factor in the fact that W's passive isn't instant damage. The difference in that shouldn't make that huge of a difference to make the gap enough for it to be a buff or nerf vs an ulted target.
But that was never what made Fizz so powerful. What made him so strong was that he could have his W active removed and his ult and he would still be a good assassin. The power he could load into his Q to deal such massive damage on a targeted ability. Mixed with his ability to avoid almost any attack with E made him who he is. Every other assassin generally needs their ult to get kills unless the enemy outplays themselves. For Fizz it's mostly just an added bonus.
Now his damage is much less without his ult. This means that if he's diving you, a tank could actually eat the ult for you. Braum for example could dash in front of you and take the shark. Although he'd probably just block it. This is mainly just an example. I could of used Lee but let's not bring him into a balance discussion.
He was nerfed. Almost gutted because he is so strong because of his ability to not require his ult to get kills. I suspect he'll get a mana cost reduction on his E to make up for this nerf. Making his early game easier.

I don't know where you are getting these values or how you ended up at that AP scaling as you didn't explain anything and it doesn't match up with what it should be. With the amp buff his scaling would actually be a bit higher including Lich, but only very very barely. This isn't factoring in base values though. His total burst would be a bit higher so if it is on a target not hit by Chum it would lose out slightly to old Fizz (excluding the impact of the % base value which could have a hefty boost to his total dmg).
Here, his ult is still just added bonus as the core of his damage remains almost entirely intact. Fizz can still do what you point out and more.
His dmg didn't take a significant hit without the ult as the core of his damage is still Lich + E which were untouched and the total scaling + base values are roughly in line with old ones except he now does more dmg per auto attack later in the match.
As a whole he was definitely buffed against tankier targets and remains almost identical against anything else.
I will go though it again a little better. I will only factor in the dot once.
Old Fizz
Base = 1091.75 Scaling = 410%
New Fizz
Damage not factoring ult: Base = 631.75, 758.1 amp'd Scaling = 215%, 258 amp'd
Adding in ulti Base = 1208.1 Scaling = 358%.
IMO it's even worse. He doesn't gain enough from the base damages to make up the scaling. It only takes 223.75 AP for him to lose out on damage. He will have this after two items.
His damage was slightly nerfed. (By slightly, most of this damage would probably be overkill either way.) His ability to be Fizz when his ult is down was hit very hard. IMO this is a good thing. They found a way to nerf him without destroying his E. But it may become too much. We'd probably have to see mana cost reductions to his E or something else that will probably help his pre-6.
I will go though it again a little better. I will only factor in the dot once.
Old Fizz
- Q - 130 base. (I am not including the AD part). 60% AP
- W Passive - 70 Base. 35% AP
- W Active 3x - 90 Base. 75% AP.
- E - 270 base, 75% AP.
- R - 450 base, 100% AP
- Arcane Blade 3x - 15% AP
- Lichbane - 81.75 Base, 50% scaling
Base = 1091.75 Scaling = 410%
New Fizz
- Q - 70 Base, 30% AP
- W passive - 60 base, 45% scaling
- W active 3x - 150 base
- E - 270 base, 75% scaling

Alright, so you were factoring Arcane Blade and for your damage total a base value for Lich. Makes more sense now.
Old Fizz 641.75 without ult (not sure why you left this out as it makes new Fizz look worse at a glance). 1091.75 Base Dmg with Ult
New Fizz
3.15 Base AP 3.78 AP with Amp
631.75 Base Dmg without Ult 1081.75 Base Dmg 1208.1 Base Dmg with Ult
As we can see going by your explanation New Fizz does 10 less damage with no ult (excluding W active % missing HP being factored) and definitely does more damage with his ult.
Factor in his W on a target missing 60% health from 3x W active % portion with 600 HP (rank 1 W) 43.2 / 51.84 with amp
1.5k HP, 3k HP (rank 5 W) 216 / 259.2 with amp 432 / 518.4 with amp
As you can see New Fizz clearly wins with ult and ties without before considering W. Tack on W's dmg and New Fizz is a straight strong buff (this is assuming constrained to 3x hits during a fight and not the many more Q + autos can apply during the entire course of a fight).
Btw I appreciate the elaborating, quite clean too, on what you had going on (bar the kinda cheap Old Fizz no ult comparison issue) and a clean discussion so far.
Ah. I see what I was missing. But I would say that the %missing Hp damage counters the large difference in scaling he'll have to make up for when he's at 400+ AP.
The first auto wouldn't deal much % damage. As I'm personally counting it with the Q hit. Unsure what order the damage is done. So I could be completely wrong if it's factored after everything else.

In both the old and new Fizz it will apply the active portion due to it being on-hit just like Lich. Not sure what you mean by he will have to make up for it when he's at 400+ AP. Early game the old active will scale a bit better but the new one should win around mid and definitely late game, excluding the amp. Of course, prior to the % damage new Fizz was already winning based on the numbers you provided, which I duplicated with the variables you provided. The lack of grevious wounds could be regarded as a significant loss in some people's opinion, but I don't really think it was a big deal since Riot pretty much killed serious sustain/healing quite some time ago and the duration of 3 seconds (could be extended by reapplication, but a drawn out fight is Fizz's weakness) isn't exactly a real counter to passive sustain (including lifesteal on minions) and champions who benefit heavily from lifesteal will usually pop instantly from Fizz, anyways. The biggest concern is the combo of Heal burst + LS with BT on some rather fed carries that you might have otherwise killed if they had been healed for less but often ignite gets carried by Fizz, anyways. I suppose it could be a definite loss to non-AP Fizz but I don't really run that so I can't provide an adequate comment on that.
His base damages are higher. But his scaling is lower. By the time has Lichbane and Death cap his damage will be lower before adding in the %hp damage.
Say he has Lichbane, Hourglass, Void, Deathcap and sitting around 550 AP. He's losing 169.65 damage.
A 1950 HP squishy will take 336.96 amped damage from 3 new Fizz W's assuming 60% hp. Old fizz would likely deal half that since his old one will update it's damage every tick(if I recall). Thus 140.4. Gaining 196.56 damage.
A gain of 26.91. This of course becomes stronger as the enemy builds HP. And weaker if you build your 6th item with AP.
I would wonder about mid game though. Will Q still be second or will W now be second to build? Is the reduced CD on Q worth it anymore? Tempted to do the math. Obviously the damage would be higher with W. But maybe not enough.
Maybe if they went again and made his E a fixed CD/mana cost. Say 11 seconds, 95 mana cost. Althoug his E is his heavy hitter as far as base abilities go. It often gets saved for an escape. In a teamfight he generally wont use it for damage (unless the setup is good). Making new Fizz a lot weaker.

It is true it will be lower without the Amp, but generally by less then 1% difference. With Amp it wins decently. With W, even more so.
Excluding ult at 500 AP he would have 2916.75 on old Fizz using values deduced earlier. On new Fizz this would be 2431.75 without amp and ult dmg while 2918.1 with amp and no ult. This is not factoring in his W % dmg at all. Oops, did the math with 500 AP flat, not 550. Good enough.
Not gonna check your math since you have mostly been on the ball.
Honestly, this is what has me the most curious. Q 2nd or 3rd now? The CD on Q is hard to pass up but even just putting 2 levels into it makes it more flexible with some CD reduction possibly coming in a bit earlier or simply deal with the longer CD in exchange for more dmg. For now I think I would take the reduced CD, but that will be something I give more consideration to later if the change comes through because the increased damage might be worth it. I know non-AP Fizz builds will be looking forward to this.
A flat CD cost on E, and hopefully mana if that happens, would definitely be worth consideration to make Fizz manageable if the changes become an issue. This is especially so due to the issue of mana regen where every AP basically suffers from mana issues in S5, even running chalice/Athene's + another mana item while Fizz is used to it and never really got mana regen items anyways.
Another thing to factor in is that if his active W is going to play a bigger roll, forcing him to auto more than just from the Q hit, Nasher's may become stronger than Lichbane on him.
The AP and base damage will be lower. But in turn he gets 20% CDR and 50% AS(meaning more DPS form autos, kind of in the same sense as Zed getting BotRK).
Getting this CDR early could justify ranking W second. It would also help his damage outside of ult.
This could also just be a way to give him options. Nasher's being the stronger overall damage choice. But if you don't feel safe getting it vs the enemy Lichbane is still just as viable. And you can get whichever you didn't get first as your 6th item if GA/BV are not needed.
And while I really don't play the champ. I just hate him so much I try to know as much as i can about him so i can kill him every time i see him. But does he really feel any changes to his mana?
Most champions see a very small nerf to the early game, and mid-late game is equal or buffed. This early game nerf is worth about 30-50 total mana over 5 minutes. It really is minor. I would of assumed a champion that never really built much mana regen would actually benefit from the mana regen changes vs other champs who can't get the old Mana Font anymore.

I have considered Nashor on him, but not actually theory crafted or tested. It does give CD which Fizz likes and could make the W route easier giving him some CD for Q/E. It also gives ASPD to help his W even more and still applies the Nashor on hit as well. It gives reasonable AP too. Would it make Lich + Nashor be a viable alternative as well? I doubt it but might be worth considering (though you would certainly have to fit a big AP item before finishing both, probably just getting sheen at some point and heavily delaying Lich finish until 4th/5th item).
I don't play him much recently because I like to play different champs every game (bar I will play Yi/Fizz/Malphite/Leona more then anything if I am to repeat pick). The few times I have played him recently I didn't see any mana changes at all, it felt just like normal since I don't get mana regen items on him even though I laned against Zed (both times I believe, once earlier today). It is definitely worth knowing how to deal with a champ then complaining about one. My one issue with Fizz is how hard Hexdrinker/Maw counter him which is particularly useful on Zed on top of his ability to avoid with clones/ult.
Now I have tested Chalice, Athenes, Morellocon and a combo of the two as well as even flat mana regen/lv yellow + blues and still see issues with champions like Lux, Syndra (oh god...), and some others. Definitely not seeing issues on champs who don't buy mana regen like Malphite/Fizz (though they do get +flat mana items and this is worth consideration since we are on this point regarding Nashors over Lich).
I really don't want to be that guy but math or not the old W did a lot more in terms of effectiveness. Contrary to belief league of legends isn't all about numbers. The DoT from the old W once apply is damage that will be done regardless of your position in relevancy to your opponent, free damage per say.
On top of being a DoT it had grieving wounds which reduced the effectiveness of potions and other healing spells this making trades count for even more. With the current fizz if your opponent has sub 250 HP with standard MR at level 3 you can flash E and then Q+W and ignite to finish them off, without auto attack something you can't do with the new one.
The value of damage over time can't be quantified by numbers alone, the fact that you don't have to be at risk of damage anymore. I'm not saying ranking should be used as a means for indiciating if you knownwhatbypur talking about but I'm 90% sure most Fizz mains would agree that relying on Ult and a non DoT W is a HUGE nerf especially in ranged matches up.
The new W should be a godsend against melee champions but ranged will kite you around for days before you even get off your second auto. Didn't bother looking up your rank but in plat you throw a max range/semi max range ult in plain sight and it's going to miss 80% of the time unless they don't have flash.

You still get some DoT damage that isn't too far from the old one but a much more potent auto attack buffing his total burst/DPS potential. Grievous wounds is the only real nerf to it but I would argue its value was pretty low mid-late game when he could burst you hard enough that it often didn't matter and most mid laners don't carry heal so early game it is often non-issue. Fizz commonly carries ignite, too. The grevious wounds only lasted for 3 seconds out of 15 so it really didn't mean much against anything except Soraka and Heal summoner. Q applies the W so that doesn't really matter though considering he has a double gap closer he can always get an extra auto off so this makes it even more effective, roughly twice so. Note that your ignite + E are doing the majority of the damage to that 250 HP target and Q + W are dealing ~78 damage after Mres at level 3. The new Q + W will do ~58.8 (both cases assuming 40 AP and no autos with 600 max hp target). This puts old W slightly ahead, very very slightly until you start ranking up W. The difference is small enough to completely ignore it early-mid game and late-mid and late game it is a huge advantage in favor of new Fizz. Against targets that stack HP early it is also a much larger advantage, particularly if they decide to rank W before Q which may now become a thing. W is also much better for non-AP builds.
You have to be at risk to go in and place that extremely weak DoT that is often much weaker even at rank 5 then almost any lv 1 ability in the game. The trade off is not worth it in that sense. The DoT does not add any value here. The DoT's only real value is finishing targets that would have survived with say... 5-15 hp or to slightly negate a potion for 3 seconds during a fight where, again, they would have survived with extraordinarily low health values.
The ranged champions will be the same as before, a rough early game in most cases unless you can get an early blue buff due to the mana cost on E. The on-hit is the core follow up Fizz has for trading with a ranged champ, not the DoT. The Ult is fairly accurate at about 50% of its max range which isn't hard to close and early game can reliably be done with Q to guarantee a hit and followed by E thus possibly evading some reaction damage and dealing an amp'd hit. With a double dash if you can't reach the ranged champion it is safe to say you are OOM or afk. If you are missing Fizz ult 80% of the time at semi-max/max range then this is an error on your end. It is far more troublesome to land Anivia's Q and a few other skill shots then Fizz ult and even those are pretty easy. You can abuse terrain to force it to hit except when they have a strong blink or flash. Using flash to evade a Fizz ult is the same as claiming it makes the skill impossible to hit for any other important skill shot in the game. It isn't a viable excuse and you can always hold Chum until they burn their flash if need be. I have covered why it can be applied at close range and still be effective for the amp purposes. It is especially easy to hit if you are at ~50% Chum's max range or less.
But then he got Ahri's E on his ult... :< Still nice to know that he wont be able to delete an adc with a q + aa combo though, definitely better to have him powerspike after landing his ult and not just having him be annoying all the time
ITT: a bunch of people who clearly aren't good at math, with the loss of DFG riot just game him a free amp on his ult. Unless every mage is getting one, this is a buff.
lol
IT'S PUNISHMENT TIME FOR MESSING AROUND WITH NOXIANS.

this is actually a HUGE buff.
not only will it still be a decent buff to AP builds... its an insane buff to AD and DPS builds.
wits/bork builds in particular, and devour/wits/bork even moreso in the jungle. hitting an ult on these builds will instagib tanks. not hitting an ult on these builds will still instagib everyone else. you dont even need triforce for this to happen, but that will def help.
i already used these builds to utilize a little sustain and free up E for purely escape purposes. it used to be in this case that the ult was purely for chasing down super mobile champs, now it will amplify your (even more) insane DPS with an attack speed loaded kit proccing new W active with on hit effects to add to the pain.
I can assure you those builds are NOT taken into account when balancing Fizz
Riot only balances around main build paths (well except for the occasional nerf to non-standard builds)
im pretty confident that riot cant balance fizz without giving him abysmal damage output, or changing the utility in his kit. this just a tiny example of why.
if this build is overlooked before this goes live, ill have some happy free-lo with a newly misunderstood champ that is no longer banned.
2 weeks later? nerf.
the synergy with attack speed is rlly stronk, even stronger with bork since its passive has an equal and inverse property with his W active.
it will be way too strong considering that he can fully commit to a duel without fully committing, and chase down anyone who runs. whats more? building this way will istagib squishies and tear tanks with twice as many items as you apart in a couple seconds
I would not call those changes nerfes.
can someone send me a link to where fizz got nerfed I cannot find it.
I'm probably gonna get a LOT of hate for this but... i think this was very unnecessary. Everyone is complaining about how assassins are too strong and how they can kill you in a instant. That is when you realize THAT IS THEIR JOB. A smart nerf to an assassin is like what they did to Talon and Leblanc, remove some of their utility but leave the majority of their damage. The only thing that really needs to be done to Fizz is raise the cooldown on his e so he can't use it into a team fight and then use it out of it without any counter play and he would be much more balanced. This is also my opinion on Zed. He is suppose to deal damage so just nerf the cooldown on his shadow and lower the range on his ult shadow. I mean there are ways to counter these people even the way they are. (

dude i main fizz and dis nerf is nothing am i very neutral about this and if really u think removing dfg is gonna stop fizz u are wrong
