Missing Champions
There is no champion that rides a horse! There is no champion that rides a small dragon!

But
can ride a poro.
'tis adorable.
I mean, there also isn't a champion who rides a steamroller, or a champion who's half badger. So just because there isn't one doesn't mean we need it. :P
On a more serious note, I think of horseback riding champion would be problematic because its model height would be so much taller than everything else in the game to accommodate the mount. I think any mounted champion needs to ride something low to the ground (Sejuani, for example), or be a Yordle.
Horses and dragons fit into fantasy lore, steamrollers do not. Also there is not one champion that uses a lance!

I know: the first part was a joke.
But the model size is a definitely concern: a horse adds almost 75% to someone's height, so that champion would either have a TINY body or would tower over everything else. There's also not anyone using the sort of lance you'd use in mounted combat, but that's because we don't have a mounted knight. It's not a particularly good weapon for unmounted combat.
How is there not a quintessential mounted knight in this game??

Because League's champion design team tends to work on inspiration rather than a "we don't have this trope character" method. If we haven't seen many mounted characters it may well be that they haven't been inspired to make one.
Haha inspiration. Right. Like Tahm. What drug fueled night inspired that?
lol jarvan and xin zhao are both using lances
also there is azirs soldiers
But we already have Hecarim and Sejuani...
Not a horse and not a dragon!
Heca is not half horse ? The more you know...
On a more serious note: Hecarim already covers everything I need concerning cavalry: He picks up speed, charges trough the opponent and then decimates the survivors. This could be because I am not a fan of cavalry in general, but I don't see what a horse rider would add to the game that Heca hasn't covered.
