Everyone knows Riven is broken. So why doesn't she ever get nerfed?

She can spam abilities with no mana, she flips and dances through any wall, she has two forms of cc, and can cc entire groups of enemy champions, and has a shield that scales off of AD.

Everyone knows she is total bullshit. Riot, are you going to actually fix her? Is she some high ranking riot exec's favorite champ? How long are you going to piss off you customers (CUSTOMERS, you understand that?)?

Its things like this that make people hate riot, loathe them.

Riot, I want an answer: Why haven't you nerfed Riven?

UPDATE: So apparently its perfectly okay for people to include snide remarks, such as "child" or "kid", in an obvious attempt to belittle someone or try to get them angry, but when you respond to someone being rude like that with profanity, as is totally appropriate because they are way out of line, your content gets removed. Thanks Riot! Way to make sure that smart ass kids who like to try to get under peoples skin are never punished, but those of us who wont stand for that are. Another master class job by Riot.

Actually it is how civility works. You started the conversation in a very uncivil manner, therefore civility is thrown out the window.

You can't just insult people and expect them to treat you with respect, particularly not with an argument as weak as the one you are presenting.

Nobody forces you to buy skins, and there is literally no benefit.

The difference is, I created the post to see what people think. To passively ready comments. I had no ideas I would immediately be attacked and ridiculed. Notice in my post I said 1)Riven is BS 2)I questioned Riots motives for not fixing her and 3)It causes customers to loathe riot. I never insulted Riot, or anyone. I never called anyone names. I expressed frustration over what I see is a broken champion.

While I disagree with how the OP is going about what he is talking about, he does have a point that why the hell are you still here if you don't like his post? No one is forcing you to be here, and you are no different than he is since you are arguing just the same as him. All you had to do is say why you disagree and move on. You are arguing how your opinion doesn't matter to him by basically telling him the same thing as well as telling him to leave boards? Aren't you quite the hypocrite?

If anything I think worse of people like you than OP. The OP may be an ass with the way he made his post but its HIS POST, he is free to make it whatever he wants, only restricted if RIOT deletes it which they haven't. Being a white knight and basically being no less an ass as him just makes people wish they could hurt you.

So why not do what he said and leave if you don't like it? Its pretty clear from an outside view that you are no different than he is.

And now that you fully realize your argument has failed you attempt the tried and true method of switching to a new topic. You use insults in an attempt to bait your argumentative opponent into following your new line so that the argument can continue.

This will go on for some time until either your opponent has given up or you actually move on to a topic you can manage to win. This is the logic version of a noob trap. You use these insults and distractions simply so you can win, rather than realize you were wrong and grow as a person because of it.

What exactly am I "white knight"ing? I'm not coming to someone's rescue here. I wear my guilt freely and proudly. Once in a while someone actually reads what I say and they actually learn, so dealing with idiots like the OP can occasionally be worth the effort. Arguments are conflict, and conflict is how we grow.

With that said why on earth is the term "white knight" an insult to you? Coming to the aid of another human being should never be frowned upon. Usually the term is used when random males are protecting a female for no reason other than they are thirsty, but that is not and should not be the true meaning of the phrase. Even with that meaning I'm still not being a white knight here.

I am just an argumentative person who likes making fun of people who don't understand basic logic and argumentative style.

Do you not understand top lane? Anyone can go top lane. You literally opened yourself up to receiving a list of any champion with CC in the game.

Irelia has more duration to her CC, Ryze has the CC more often, and Lissandra has both, in case you wanted classic top laners.

League is a game where champions are supposed to be unique. You adding specificity to your request actually makes it more ridiculous than before.

And why are you asking this? To prove that Riven is unique? No, I doubt that. Something tells me than when people fail to be as specific as you're asking (and if they manage it you will get more specific) you will use it as proof that Riven is over powered.

Having a unique kit does not make a champion overpowered. If you want an example of that just look at Bard.

A game has rules. Most champs have a cost to cast spells, mana, life or energy. She has no cost. She can flip throw walls, like, all the time. And she does a lot of things well that other fighters do, BUT she has MORE CC. Basically she defies all of the balance in the game on pretty much ever level.

I can write a list of strengths for any champion that sounds over powered, however you actually made a provable claim here.

Let's take a look at Riven's win rates, shall we? Since it's public information I'll let you look it up on your own, however it may actually surprise you that Garen has a higher average win rate over the last month than Riven does.

Riven does not defy balance, she simply defines your lack of knowledge when it comes to League of Legends.

So, if a champ is easy to play and is powerful a lot of players who are new or aren't that good yet will play that champion--that will drag down win rates regardless of the inherent balance of a champion. The numbers don't tell us much actually because too much is not quantified.

If she actually does this why would it require skill to play her effectively? Why could a new player not simply pick her up and roll their face on their keyboard for the pentakills?

It's because she defies nothing, defines nothing, and is easy to shut down at most levels of play where game knowledge is actually a thing.

No, you exaggerate. I benefit from steam rolling bad players who pick Riven all the time. But when its a good player, I feel like her kit is far superior to others.

I exaggerated nothing, and in fact this reply actually supports what I said. Riven does very well against bad players.

You know how Riven does against good players? What about great players? If the skill level of the Riven player does not exceed that of her opponents then she is quite easy to deal with.

I'm not saying she won't snowball out of control anyway, I'm simply saying that snowball will be due to a mistake made by her opponents, and not by her kit or her skill.

Wukong has much CC??? UM NO, not even close. Alistair is not an AD champ by nature. Ashe is an ADC, and it was implied that I was talking about AD fighters and assassins. Vi mostly jungles, hecarim mostly jungles . Sion is a tank most of the time. So, basically, your response was completely useless. Try again.

Wukong has more CC in his ult than Riven has in her entire kit. He also has almost as much AD scaling on that ult as in Riven's entire kit.

Alistar can be though, and used to be played as one quite often.

It's so easily avoided he has a point and click gap closer as well as stealth to help him land it. You didn't really think this through, did you, little guy?

Yep, it might not get spammed, but it's so strong he's a far better champion than Riven overall. Though his significant burst, tankiness, and assassination potential probably help with that.

Sorry little guy, but I've already provided irrefutable evidence that Hecarim is, in fact, played top lane more often than jungle.

Sion's build path is versatile. Though full AD is rarely seen on him, getting a Black Cleaver and/or a Ravenous Hydra is a common buy for him. Also, you never specified that they couldn't be tanks little guy.

Garen has one form of cc, one. You can play rumble, he can slow her indef while she is trying to gap close, nasus, his wither destroys her and builds straight tank, gnar, slows and leaps away then can go back in on her cd. Do I have to lay out ever champ for you before you realize she is in no way op.

Yes, because the hypotheticals you are listing don't really work in real life. I actually beat Riven with Aatrox most of the time, and supposedly Riven counters me. I don't care about hypotheticals. She has too much mobility, too much spamming ability and too much CC. Even when I destroy her in lane, she just tps to bottom lane, crowd controls the fuck out of them and gets 2 kills.

If you get her out of lane then you should be pushed to inhib tower and go help your team. Riven is a useless champ when she is shit down and wards help your team know she is coming.
