Komahn, the Monarch
Komahn is a melee mage fighter/assassin with a permanent uncontrollable pet. His abilities capitalize on dealing heavy damage to small groups of enemies. It takes cooperation with Zhal to ensure he does so safely. Komahn has high damage potential. I tried to make his kit synchronize well with Zahl, but not be completely depended on Zahl, as that would mean depending on an AI. Paying attention to Zahl's cooldowns can lead to some very nice setups for fights. Post 6, Komahn gains serious roaming power and team support.
Lore and Design (The Monarch and his Guide): The once beloved ruler of a people long gone, who once flew through the air on insect-like wings made of light. That magic now faded, Komahn's people are no more. Komahn now travels Runeterra, seeking the power he needs to restore his lands as peacefully as possible. As he felt his own magic essence begin to wane, a beacon in the night led him to a quiet glade, where his guide revealed itself. A slender panther-like creature, with skin that mirrored the night sky, and a glowing flower on it's tail. The light this mysterious creature gave off filled Komahn with the energy he once knew. His wings grew strong once again. Not quite strong enough to fly, but strong. Komahn still does not know the way to restore the wild magic of his lost kingdom, but following this mysterious guide may yield an answer...
Komahn is tall, regal, and light-footed. He speaks with a thick accent and a gentle but firm voice. Six blade-like wings made of soft blue light extend from his back, while curved sabres of the same light extend from each of his hand backs. The wings and blades glow brighter when Zahl is near.
Passives: Manalight Blades- Komahn's auto attacks deal bonus magic damage equal to 20/40/60 +20% of his bonus AP. He attacks in swift bursts of three, with pauses in-between, essentially fitting three basic attacks where two would normally be.
Beacon in the Night- Zahl is uncontrollable and cannot attack. Zahl will follow Komahn, or the champion he is currently guiding around, aiding him with his own abilities. If Zahl dies, he will come back after one minute, or upon recalling or respawning. Zahl shares a portion of Komahn's max health, resistances, and all of his AP and cooldown reduction. Zahl's aura grants 50% bonus energy/mana regen to the ally he is currently supporting. Zhal's cooldowns are displayed in smaller boxes by Komahn's own abilities.
Q, Bisecting Blades/Boon- Komahn's next two basic attacks have increased range and are performed in quick succession. The first strike deals 70/100/130/160/190+100%AD +60%AP magic damage to a single enemy. The second attack deals half this damage in a wide arc.
Passive- Zhal will every so often buff the champion he is currently guiding with bonus 40/80/120/160/200+50%AP and a brief 80% slow to their next auto attack within 8 seconds. This is usually cast upon entering combat with an enemy champion, or after Q's activation.
W, Whirling Whisp/Mark of the Beacon- Komahn flings a small violent spirit in the shape of a spinning manalight blade that flies in a straight line, traveling further each time it encounters an enemy. It deals 40/70/100/130/160+45% AP to the first enemy struck, and 15% more damage each time it strikes another enemy, up to 45%. In it's wake is a path that increases Komahn's movement speed by 60% and allows him to move through units. This ability can be used while moving.
Passive- Zhal will every so often place a mark on the champion he is currently guiding. After 1.5 seconds, the mark detonates, granting 10% movement speed and healing the recipient as they move, increasing with movement speed over 3 seconds.
E, Bed of Blades/Guardian Mist- Komahn shoves his sabres into the ground and raises a bed of manalight blades at target area, dealing 50/85/120/155/190 +40%AP magic damage to enemies caught by the initial spawning. For the next 6 seconds, Komahn can attack this bed to send three wide projectiles in a cone in the direction of the attack, dealing his normal damage to enemies behind. Whirling Whisp will count Bed of Blades as an enemy passed through for the purpose of range and damage and also produce blade projectiles. Striking a Bed of Blades with Bisecting Blades will produce unique properties. The first instance of Bisecting Blades will produce a single, highly damaging pass-through projectile while the second instance will produce a wide spray of blades.
Passive- Zhal will every so often cloak himself and the champion he is currently guiding with a misty aura for up to 4 seconds. Any damage received by champions in this time will trigger a shield on both targets. 70/110/150/190/230 +60% AP capacity and lasts 3 seconds.
R, Beacon of Hope- Cast on a target ally champion globally, sending Zhal to them, gaining up to 300% movement speed over the distance, which he can share with the champion he is currently guiding if they follow in his path. Zhal glows brightly, increasing his los while running and moving through units, also shared with the champion if they follow. Upon arrival, Zhal will begin to follow and cast abilities on the targeted ally until Beacon of Hope is reactivated to call Zhal back to Komahn. Komahn is considered the champion Zhal is currently guiding at all times except when Zhal is assigned to an ally by Zhal's ultimate and near them. Though Zhal can be called back whenever, sending him out has a cooldown.
*If Komahn dies while Zhal is guiding some other champion, Zhal will run to where Komahn died and wait for him to respawn. Zhal will not move until Komahn respawns.
A lot of Komahl's quotes will involve communicating with Zahl, with special quotes for his death, when he activates abilities, etc.
Let me know what you think of this champion. Thanks in advance for your comments guys.
