Okay okay, so he's a bit of a generic character idea. But I still want to get him out there. On the off chance that anyone but dust falls upon this post, please tell me what you think of it. clears throat Okay, here we go. PLEASE NOTE: I did NOT create this picture, nor do I have the artistic talent to do so. If you wish to know who created the picture, please look to the link and see their work for yourself. Thank you.

Passive: Holy Armor Nicholaus wears armor blessed by the Gods. He gains passive resistance to magic damage of all types, that slowly gains in strength as he levels. Starts with 5% and slowly increases to 10%. NOTE: This cannot be altered or changed at all by items such as the Void Staff of magic penetration. As a result, Nicholaus gains less magic resistance from any item he buys.

Q: Holy Strike Nicholaus empowers his sword with holy magics. His next basic attack deals extra magic damage and shreds the target's armor and magic resistance. It also slows for a small amount. Nicholaus for the next five seconds, which will increase to ten at maximum level, will deal more damage with all his abilities on the targeted enemy. Can affect minions, as well as champions. It affects neutral monsters as well, but to a lesser extent. This attack also silences the enemy.

W: Shield Bash/Protection Nicholaus carries a holy shield into battle, and uses it to its full extent. When you activate the ability, Nicholaus brings his shield up to block the next incoming attack, causing much less damage (much like Braum's shield, but slightly less) or if Nicholaus casts it again when in the range of an enemy, he strikes the enemy with his shield. The enemy is stunned for a brief period before returning to normal. This also has a passive: Nicholaus always has a small chance to negate all damage from a single target ability or basic attack when using his shield. His shield also will act as a lesser Banshee's Veil, allowing him to activate the ability to shrug off status effects, should he be caught in a slow, snare, knock-up, or stun.

E: Holy Light Nicholaus blasts a glare of blazing holy light at any enemy units in a cone. These enemy units are stunned momentarily, and take small amounts of damage for it. Imagine the Darius pull cone, but shorter and with wider sides.

R: The Wrath of God Nicholaus prayers for a few seconds, before unleashing a torrent of holy fire from above. He calls upon the power of the Gods to smite a large area, causing large amounts of damage and slowing enemies, and healing allies for a lesser amount. NOTE: Nicholaus' faith is undying, so he cannot be interrupted while praying. Not even a silence will stop him. However, this gives adequate time for any enemy units in the area to leave quickly before the holy fire is brought down. This also silences enemies.

Playstyle and Skins: Nicholaus is a slow moving bruiser, who deals mostly magic damage. I wish for him to be a top laner, and to specialize in disabling and attacking mages. His large array of status effects that Nicholaus can layer on top of each other will encourage players who play him to combo abilities, usually ending in an ultimate. A good combo I can think of, is using your Q first, or your W should you be caught by something, and hitting an enemy. Then, use your E to stun them. Then, cast your ult for maximum damage. If the enemy is not dead, then your team will finish them off. I want Nicholaus to be an answer to all those annoying mages that hop around the mid lane all willy nilly. Is he slow? Yes. But he has a stun and two silences. He also has a free Banshee's Veil, so unless you go up against a juke-master LeBlanc, you should be able to catch up to them. What skins would he have? Well, the first skin I want is a dragon slayer one. He would be decked out in the bones of slain dragons, and be on a never ending eternal quest to rid the world of the evil of dragons.

Lore: I created Nicholaus Arthur to be based on the Knights of the Templar Order who were created during the Crusades. As powerful enforcers of the Law of God, they dominated for two centuries before being disbanded. Nicholaus will not go down without a fight, and holds a courage that rivals that of Darius and Garen.

In a far off land, a different land then Valoran, lies a vast kingdom. A kingdom, that rules as one unified people, rather than groups of bickering tribes. They live together in happiness and peace, enjoying prosperity that unification has brought them. But none of this would have been possible, without the escapades of the Holy Knights, a group of hardened veteran warriors who enforce the laws of the ancient Gods. They live and die by this code and act as not only warriors who protect the land, but also peace-keepers who demolish trouble wherever it may be. While many enjoy the peace brought upon by the Knights, the people still fear them. Some wonder if there are even men behind those eyeless masks. Among these seasoned warriors is Nicholaus Arthur, the greatest knight of the entire group. He alone, had slain countless abominations and demons throughout the lands. With a strict hatred for any magic that is not blessed, he has created laws prohibiting it. Because nobody in the kingdom previously practiced and sort of magic, they were all pleased with the law. However, in recent days, strange evil magics have been seeping into the very foundation of the kingdom. Magics, coming from a far off land. Nicholaus knew that if he stood idle and watched the magic scourge continue to grow, that he would lose his beloved people forever. Setting off by himself, he ordered his men to stand guard vigilantly and wait for his return. Harsh winds, mountainous hills, and destructive seas attempted to end the life of the knight. But the elements were nothing but child's play, next to the almighty power of the Gods. Eventually, he reached Valoran. His white armor had not even chipped on his weeks long journey. Upon descending into a large city known as Demacia, he was horrified about what he saw. Here were people who believed themselves to be shining examples of humanity, that they had no faults about them at all. Only the Gods have that right. He restrained himself from attacking, and continued on. Everywhere he looked, he saw nothing but evil. Abominations the likes of which he has never seen from a place called the Void, tiny animals that spoke the tongue of man... and necromancy. Who are they, to defile the boundary between life and death? A place, where technology is constantly improving? They see themselves as the brightest creatures that have ever existed. An opposing city, which spews toxic waste into the land, killing everything the Gods worked so hard to create. No. No more of this. Nicholaus is now on a quest. A quest of true holy virtue, which will test him at every obstacle that he comes to. A quest, unlike anything he has ever faced before. Sending a letter back to his homeland, he warned them of this gathering storm. He told them to summon all the holy magic they could to defend the kingdom, and that he would soon rid the world of the evil that lived in Valoran. Armed with naught but his shield, sword, and unshakable faith, Nicholaus now goes from town to town, ridding the world of this vile scourge. One life at a time.

Enemies: All of the Voidborn The Demacians, mainly Garen, JarvanIV, and Lux. Who dares pretend to wield holy light at their fingertips? The scientists of Pilitover, mainly Jayce, and Ezreal. Although this has also caught the attention of Caitlyn and Vi. The abominations and "scientists" of Zaun, mainly Twitch, Singed, Warwick, and Viktor. Certain members of Noxus, members such as Leblanc, Swain, and the creature of darkness known as Vladimir. The Yordles of Bandle City and elsewhere, mainly Teemo, Tristana, Rumble, and especially Veigar. Creatures who walk and talk as if they were men, such as Rengar or even Nidalee The creatures of Shurima, and those who worship the supposed "holy" Sundisk, like Azir, Renekton, and Nasus. Any and all who use magic, like Xerath, Malzahar, Zyra to name a few. Creatures brought back to life by necromancy, such as Sion and Urgot. Monsters of darkness, such as Fiddlesticks and Nocturne. Creatures who toy with life and death, such as Karthus and Yorick. Any and all creatures from the Shadow Isles. Witches, such as Lissandra. Morgana, who fights against the very same people the Nicholaus fights against. However she uses and embraces darkness and evil magic. She is beyond redemption.

Rivals: Vayne. Vayne wages a war similar to Nicholaus' but for a different reason. Vayne does it for more personal reasons, while Nicholaus is protecting his family and friends who are still alive. He sees Vayne as foolish, and deserving of punishment by his hand. Kayle. A false angel, who spouts lies and uses a mockery of holy magic. She is evil is Nicholaus' eyes, and must be punished. But not by him, as those who make a mockery of the Gods, are to be punished by the Gods themselves. She is deserving of the highest penalty.

Neutral: Creatures who Nicholaus knows of, and chooses to ignore. Any and all creatures from the Freljord, minus those seen above. Maokai, who is a creation of magic he believes to be evil. However, Maokai battles the same forces Nicholaus does, so Maokai could potentially be redeemed for his creation. Kassadin who fights against the same kind of creatures he does, but uses evil magic. Could potentially redeem himself for what he has done. Malphite, an ancient creature who uses Earth Magic. Something that Nicholaus cannot make up his mind about.

Holy SHIT that took a long time. Please, if you see this, share it around. I really want to know what people think. I tried my very best to cover all the bases in the lore department. Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
