Karrin, the herald of the future

My idea for Karrin is quite simply a tech knight. Simply, his backstory is that he was a knight fighting for decmacia, defending whoever needed defending, regardless of class or social standing. But then it came some times when he had to give on up that and follow his superiors orders rather than his own will. So he called bullshit on that, but was warned that he had to keep in line or get punished.

This made him leave demacia with whatever valuables he had and become a sort of wandering hero, helping out wherever he could, just taking a bit of food a drink and maybe a bed to stay in over the night as pay. Then one day he reached piltover, and he was amazed by all the fantastic technology they had, and especielly the cyborgs. This gave him the idea to sell basically everything he had but his sword – which he adored – and use it to pay so that he would be mechanized. The prize was a bit too big for him, but they gave him a special deal that he would be a guinea pig and let them test some new but also dangerous science. He gladly accepted and it worked out perfectly. The result was that he became not one an extremely skilled knight but also one of the most advanced hextech cyborgs ever, using some new, revolutionary technology to mimic extremely powerful magic effects, as well as strengthen his body.

His design would be a mix between something a normal knight would wear together with the signs of hextech. A bucket helmed with several robotic eyes, armour that glowed and a long cape that almost looks ethereal, as it was mostly made of energy.

His personality would be mostly about helping others, even if it would destroy him. He sees his value as a being in being a hero and it is worht losing every single aspect of him self – for example his human body – to become that. He would be somewhat like Jarvan or Garen with his talk about righteousness, but a lot more philosophical and nuanced, being aware that its not all black and white and that it is more complicated than just either good or bad.

He would also be against authority and especielly dictatorship, believing that power corrupts and makes the leaders stop worrying about the well being of their people and only about their own power.

Some of his quotes would be: “Strong or weak, all have their moments of weakness where they need someone.”

“I will stand strong for others lives, no matter what enemy I have to face.”

“Truly good men act good without watchful eyes hanging over them.”

“I believe in peoples ability to stand together without chains holding them in place.”

“I will not enjoy this, but regardless , you've made me do this.”

And finally, we have his abilities.

Passive: Karmaic justification program – Enemies who deal damage to Karrin are marked for the karmaic justification program for 2 seconds and are slowed by 30% for 2 seconds. Minions and monsters attack speed is also slowed. This effect has a 5 second cooldown on each enemy. Karrin abilities have special effects when used on marked targets: Selective execution program – The cooldown is reset, and applies karmaic justification program if the target is a monster

Aggression refocusing program – Taunt duration is increased by 0.5 seconds. Gravity amplification program – The mist slows by 30% while the marked enemy remains in the mist. Enforced equalization program – The % of stored damage dealt is increased by 30%.  

Q: Selective execution program – Karrin lunges at the target enemy, dealing 100% of his attack dmg + 30/50/70/90/110 dmg. If the target is a champion or monster is slowed by 50% for 1 second and Karrins next basic attack will deal 30/50/70/90/110 + 3/5/7/9/11% of the targets current hp as bonus dmg.

W: Aggression refocusing program – Karrin marks an area. After a 0.75 second delay, enemies in the area are taunted for 1./1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds.

E: Gravity amplification program - Karrin throws forwards a stream of hextech energy in a cone that deals 50/80/110/40/170 magic damage and leaves after a hextech mist. Enemies in the hextech mist are grounded and after 2 seconds the mist bursts, dealing another 50/80/110/140/170 magic damage and knocking up enemies.

R: Enforced equalization program  – Knight activates a neg-zone around himself for 4 seconds, or until the ability is reactivated. All damage and healing in the neg-zone is reduced by 50%. Enemies in the neg-zone are also slowed by 40/50/60 %. After the duration ends, the neg-zone overloads after a 0.5 second delay, dealing damage equal to 50/60/70 % of the total blocked damage to all enemies in the zone and healing allies for 50/60/70 % of the total healing reduced to allies.
