Well, great for there is a super simple solution! Here is a step by step guide for you to follow:
There is not a single person on planet Earth who is incapable of playing support
"I can't play support" means "I won't play support" or "I will pick Janna and frequently alt tab out without really worrying about winning"
I sometimes get filled to NOT support and I have to caution people that I'll do my best but not to expect much... but that doesn't happen often since I main support
I honestly have no issues swapping to support for those people (provided they don't feed the shit out of the lane I gave them) The real dickheads are the ones who don't say anything, then after losing bot lane horribly say "I was autofilled sorry"
My favorite: "I don't own any Support champions."
Then you look at their match history and they have played 12 support champions in their last 30 games. 90% of them lie to get the role they want.
Nope for me it's "how the fuck did I get filled as ADC when I queued support/top?"
As someone that is a support main, I don't understand people like this. Like, if you are a top lane main just play a tank support and if you are a mid lane main just play a mage.
What I recommend for these players

or, you could give them helpful advice, like buyiing Coin, relic shield or spellthief ; picking a champion that fits their playstyle or attempt to adapt what they do know into the lane and above all, to let the carry farm while protecting them and WARDING
seriously, support is not that bad. If you don't know how to play jungle and don't have a viable alternative, you will get DESTROYED!
if you don't know how to play mid, you will get DESTROYED
btw, did you know that if the marksman and support share relic shield, their staying power in lane is greatly increased ?
i main support, and i love knowing that i will surely do better An "autofilled" support, or At least i wont beg for another Role (mid mid or mid) in champ select before trollpicking xD
Unfortunately no, since I pick support/bot lane all the time (usually just because I play with my friend and we're flexible with who goes carry and who goes support, but when I'm on my own, I usually take support)
This is a video game, not a full time job. When i log on and queue up for a game, i am the customer and riot is providing the service. I decide what i want and do not want. Why would i use my precious time doing stuff i dont want to? If i dont want to play support i dont need to.
I just play jg, cause in silver it is normally open, all weekend 20 something games and every one of them i got jg
The best is when they refuse to dodge. I mean come on....have some common courtesy ffs.
