Tryndamere is currently one the worst designed champion still in the game
I would argue that Tryndamere has one of the worst designs ever in league of legends.
- Luck is dumb. Any1 who has ever played a card game knows how shitty it feels when you lose a game because of luck. There is no worse feeling than outplaying your opponent at every turn, but still losing cuz your draws were shitty, and their curve was 10/10 perfect. Trynda is that for League. There is no shittier feeling than playing against Tryndamere, having him spin on you at level 2, then crit 4/5 autos and just kill u with ignite. No champion can match 4 crits in a row, no one.
On the flipside, Tryndamere can get 0/5 crits, and then he's left basically without a passive. This isn't skill based gameplay, this is just pure luck. Tryndamere can't decide how much he's going to crit by becomming a better player, nor can an opponent make him crit less by outplaying him, becuase it's just random numbers. It's literally RNG deciding the gameplay.
- Tryndamere is probably the most oppressive champion still in the game. When Tryndamere gets ahead, you feel like just going afk, because he is so painful to play against. He has a massive slow that is impossible to dodge (Don't tell me it's dodgeable when literally no1 can dodge it) and a dash. A dash that he can use sooner after he crits. This isn't even mentioning the fact that he can towerdive you super easily by just pressing r. Trying to kite him around for 5 seconds is very, veeery difficult, because of the aforementioned slow and dash. Honestly, a lot of all in's don't last longer than maybe 8-12 seconds in top lane. Not being able to fight back for half of a fight is just ridicules.
This may seem small, but it actually isn't. Oppressive champions are by their design unfun to play against, and a nightmare to balance. If a champion that is this oppressive is even slightly op, they will break the game. They become impossible to play against and drive people away from the lane. This has happened before, just look at Jayce. Incredibly oppressive Top laner that become op and that led to a lot of people just leaving top lane.
- Being able to go invulnerable for 5 seconds without counterplay is stupid. Why can Tryndamere prevent himself from dying if i stun him? Why is there literally nothing I can do to stop that? Kayle can't ulti if she's stunned. Aatrox can't ulti if he's stunned. Taric can't either, and he has a 2.5 sec delay. Why is Tryndamere the exception? Honestly, this baffles me because it seems to natrual. You can't use abilities when you're stunned, that's obvious. That's one of the basic things about league of legends mechanics.
Even beyond that, why am I not rewarded for outplaying the Trynda? If I'm playing Riven, and I get Tryndamere low, but I save my last burst until my stun comes of cd, and then weave it into my combo so that he dies while he's stunned, why does Tryndamere get to undo that outplay? Why is some1 who can save their stun, silence or whatever until the end of the fight to counter Trynda and time it just right to prevent the use of his ultimate, not actually allowed to stop his ultimate?
Even further beyond that, it would give more skill to hte Tryndamere. Now the tryndamere has to predict his opponents to use his ultimate before he gets stunned. Now he has to react to the skillshots that would stun him.
- There are a lot of things that could fix these issues, but they're band aid fixes. The point is that Tryndameres kit is fundamentely broken, unfun and honestly unfair as a champion. And until Riot fixes those things, he should be nerfed until he no longer is playable.
