Hey CatSith -

We felt Ahri was a strong candidate for Academy thematic that we wanted to create.

That said, if we feel a champion fits in well with a theme we're creating, them having a fairly recent skin wouldn't exempt them. For example, we did something similar with Soraka where we released her Reaper skin in October, and then in April, released Order of the Banana because we felt this April Fools' skin fit in really well with the set coming out.

Couldn't you still hold onto the skin concept for a while? I don't know, if this got released like a month or two later it would have been better IMO. I'm just sick of seeing favorites by the skin team always having a sweet spot for specific champions. Also not to mention you could have found a concept just as cool as this if you went through all champions thinking about it.

We could have - but we felt this was a prime opportunity since many kids are going back to school this month, so we found to be most appropriate.

I'm sorry you feel that we have week spots, but I assure you we don't. If we did, you'd see Lux and Swain skins everywhere. :P It's more about who fits in right, no just 'who fits' We did go through a large backlog of champions for consideration before deciding on the final four - and a lot of what was based on silhouette and personality.

But I thought Ahri wasn't getting a pool party skin because riot didnt want her looking like a generic anime character, but now shes just getting a school-girl outfit. One that kinda makes her look like a generic anime character. She even has that bright red hair that you only really see in anime.

They didn't give Ahri a pool party skin, cause they don't want to do a human female in a bikini skin, notice how Leona is the only human female out of the ten. I do agree that the new look is a generic school girl look and i don't much like it.

We didn't want Ahri in just a bathing suit, and we always have clarity discussions around what can and cannot be changed in her kit. Those were the main issues we struggled with when running through some idea for how to make a Pool Party Ahri work; it wasn't the problem of 'oh, she looks too much like an anime character.' While I don't think it's impossible to create a Pool Party Ahri, we found there were better hooks for other champions this time around.

If that was your concern, why not give her an Atlantean skin, with free flowing robes made of seaweed?

Her W orbs could be water ballons, (think PP Ziggs) and her Q the same as Syndra's.

I think that's an awesome possibility for Ahri in the future. However, it's not directly in line with Pool Party, which is why it wouldn't have shipped with Pool Party Zac, etc.

We'd definitely need to keep Syndra's (Q)'s much different from Ahri's, but I get what you're saying. The watery orb could work super well with an Atlantean-themed Ahri.

Zed i think eternum zed would be nice when he casts his ult if the death mark is able to kill the enemy ,make the shuriken piece it self together

when the mark is about to kill the enemy have the shuriken fall on the enemy like a guillotine

but the mark isn't strong enough then it would only show like a part of the shruriken

his arm blades would be curved and jagged

Honestly what is the thematic? Just looks like people in school attire to me. Like, I am fairly certain you could have put a school uniform on just about everyone, how is Ahri a strong candidate?

To be fair, he is a lot harder to for ideas and concepts for him. They have to animate not only him, but his soldiers as well, and all the other small effects he has.

Ahri got 3 skins since im playing this game (almost 1,5 year) while some others nothing... MasterYi . I guess boobs>wuju... This proofs that Riot focuses more on some champions than others, just look at this thread, 14 posts from Riot member already just about her skin while some champions are totally ignored, maybe thats why shes op as fuck? Most overloaded kit in the game, nerf-proof, skins in regular rotation, just ffs.

Do yourself a favor Riot and release official Ahri porn if you want quick buck, and maybe give us a list of what champions are main characters in this game and what ones you dont give a fuck about so we dont wase time picking and maining wrong ones.

it seems like that Academy skin theme might be a cheap skin set. so i guess its ok. Im kinda ticked that Blitz is getting a new skin. he is getting up there with champs with way too many skins!

As an Ahri player, Ahri being my favorite champion - she doesn't need another skin this quickly. Unless she has a pool party skin coming up, she doesn't need one for a long time.

...but if pool party is a possibility...ignore what I just said.

That makes no sense, then. In a post months ago, there was a discussion as to why Thresh and Zilean were receiving a Blood Moon skin and not Diana. You said champions usually don't get another skin within the year, unless the theme is matching as you've said... But there's no Blood Moon Diana released yet, and that skin is PERFECT "THEMATICALLY" FOR HER, considering she's, you know, of the Moon.

So where is Blood Moon Diana? I don't play Diana, I have no interest in the skin either... But I feel you guys are favoring skins for upcoming reworked champions that may garner a lot of attention/purchases, or popular champions. Hence Zilean got his skin sooner, and Ahri is pumping out so many skins compared to lesser known/picked champions such as Diana. Oh, the poor community... :\

Hiya!

Twitch did recently get a skin (I'm sorry if you're not a fan of it).
Twisted Fate also just received a skin.
Skarner's last skin was in April, so he recently just got one.
SKT Zyra came out a little over a year ago, so she's getting close to needing a new skin.
Lissandra's last skin was also a little over a year ago..
Evelynn needs some form of update before we can give her a skin she truly deserves.
Cassiopeia has chromas coming out (but yes, she needs a new skin).

to address your Taric question separately, he'c receiving a large scale re-work, which means you'll see a new splash him once the update is complete!

TL;DR - we're working with 126 champions, so it takes us a bit of time to get through everyone and make sure they have a skin that works from them. Buuuut, we do keep track of which champions just had a skin, and which need one, as well as which champions we can't touch due to champion updates.

Ejemm you are being so wrong, Cassiopeia, Lissandra and Zyra are in need of skins, yes.But Evelynn got the treasure knacker not long ago and riot said she won't be getting new skins until VU, TF just got one from the bilgewater event ._. , skarner got the alpha strike not long ago too and twitch got the SSW skin.

Absolutely not! That said, technically, it's only been a little over a year since his last skin, and there have been other champions waiting as well.

Shockblade zed is one of the most popular skin, why ? Cause we love zed, we love his plays, we love this freaking badass shadow ninja and you know we love him, even if he's not in the meta, we will still play him beacuse he's so fun to play.

You're right, I do see a lot of Shocblade Zed, and SKT Zed every now and again, too. He's not a 'bad champion' by any means, and if you can play him well, it's really fun.

I believe my example was, if we made a Harrowing skin/Winter event skin for him, it would be very likely that you wouldn't see a skin for him before October/December. Of course there could also be other group thematics coming up that he may or may not be a part of, buuuut I can't spill the beans on any of it, so you'll have to wait and ssee!

ty for your answer ! and by the way looking at this really good arcade riven skin ( yes every zed main like riven xD ).I think the concept is awesome and I will probably buy it,and I have a few suggestions about this skin : -->Is it possible to change the messages of " HIT " to COMBO: 1 , 2, and something like SUPER COMBO at 3th q, -->and add the sound KO when she kills an opponent would be really fun :D --> I was expecting some kind of rainbow for wind slash, I definetly think it would be better

And was this skin delayed due to "arcade event" in august ? The blitz skin is not legendary ? so we can expect another "skin teaser " soon ?

We don't have plans to change how the text is. The discussion of adding combo 1, 2, and 3 were discussed, but we ultimately decided against it. They were a tad noisy, and it would be frustrating if you were slightly off from getting combo 3.

The K.O. is meant to be for her, similar to how Arcade Sona has 'Game Over' appear on her body when she dies. We don't have plans to add it anywhere else - especially when Riven usually racks up a lot of kills. :P

Arcade isn't just about bright colors and rainbows, it's about bringing retro games into a thematic. :D

You'll have to wait and see as far as if there's any else coming down the line soon, event, or teaser-wise.

Battle Boss Blitzcrank is not a legendary skin.

any chance we can dissable her sound only when playing against her, the spam is real on this champ and 30 min of that is painfull for me

(tbh, it would be nice to have an option like dj sona for all skin, use default sound or skin sound, ally or ennemy should have the choice to that kind of spam :s)

Well, the Challenger Ahri skin, is kinda (Stretching the word here) like the LCS Team Skins, since it itself doesn't capture an alternate fantasy but more of a event/occasion.

That said, if it is a 750 im gonna cry.
