Instead of giving Eve's E a bigger range Riot Should..

Give her a ms boost running towards champions marked with her W.

Edit: Could remove it from E to compensate. I Feel that we never really utilize the ms boost on the E because its used during the charm.

Edit 2: to make it different from Warwick's.

Whenever eve reveals herself to the enemy she marks with W she gains a movement boost towards them whether she gets to close within the true sight range or by casting a spell.

prefer she get her e range double if she charm someone.

CatSith10 votes

they dont want her to be an assassin with a good engage cc and escape. So increasing her E range isn't going to happen if they want to keep her in a healthy play pattern.

Dani El Pezglobo2 votes

she have to wait 2'5 s and hit her q so i dont think is something that allow her to insta one shot u. kinda healthy that if she charm u she can get close to u , a boost to ms is an option 2

DemainaNyx1 votes

Except, you don't have to hit Q. You can walk up and auto them. Or E them. Or use one of the extra 3 Q's to hit them.

She literally has a ton of ways to proc her charm that don't require hitting a skillshot. And, if you miss the skillshot, you still have 2.5 seconds to get said charm, unlike most CC where if you miss the initial cast, you've got nothing. Literally had someone walk into me cause I missed Q and they figured I couldn't get the charm any more.

Dani El Pezglobo2 votes

but if she is already enough close to use her q , the fact that she have double e range isnt usefull, since she is already on range

assassin's, by RIOT'S DEFINITION, is that exact statement.

An assassin is an agile champion that specializes in killing or disabling high value targets. Focused on infiltration, deception, and mobility, assassins are opportunistic hunters who find favorable moments within a fight before jumping into the fray. Regardless of the size of the enemy team, assassins specialize in positioning and artful killing. They strike when the time is right – no sooner, no later.

Where is Evelynn's mobility? because saying she's mobile when all she has is that R is laughable

Xurreal3 votes

It's attached to E now. Empowerd E is a small gap close and a movement speed steroid of 30% movement speed. This is the equivalent of her Rank 1 ability "Dark Frenzy".

This is acceptable because the most widely used Skill Rank-up path had Eve sometimes never even ranking the skill past Rank 1. She'd go the entire game with just 30% MS until reaching level 14.

By level 14, the most generally used build path would include item 3117 boots and possibly item 3100 Lich Bane, and she gets additional MS from item 1402 Stalker's Blade: Runic Echos, which on its own gives movement speed and debuffs the target, stealing even more MS when used on champions.

I feel the E could be Re-empowered on Kill or Assist to better highlight her mobility aspects. The old W Dark Frenzy just seemed like extra power for no reason. It got her to clear the jungle as fast as yi, but at a trade off of only being able to clear camps with a single ability at any given moment.

Personally, I felt she was the best champion in the game regardless of buffs and nerfs because she was a bit too agile whenever she wanted to be. Even veteran Evelynns ran into extreme map pressure and difficulty dealing one who knew what she wanted to accomplish.

Giving her old W to a new ability that requires her to engage at least one enemy unit is a good way to preserve the use of her MS while eliminating the unnecessary amounts of MS she gained over the course of a game.

And let's not forget that Allure is basically the slow on summoner 3 if you attack them while Allure matures into a Charm.

She has the same effect now, its just... all mixed up and requires more forethought and less spamming.

By that logic Caitlyn is a mobile champion because of Warlords, and double zeal item. She has 1 gap closer too!

Terchio1 votes

Actually, while Eve is not classically mobile, her new form is arguably more mobile than old, despite both being assassins, because both have a chunk of their mobility invested in their stealth. It's like their definition of Olaf as a diver. The guy doesn't have a single dash outside of an ultimate they planted on him, but his axes make far better catch-up tools than escape tools, so he gets the diver tag. Similarly, when you have high potential of ideal positioning to start fights (or otherwise put the pressure to force players to play safe), it doesn't take much mobility to fit as an assassin.

Also, Double item 3086 Caitlyn might be rough, but I think item 1402 Evelynn will generally hold her own on a foot race, at least before the second Zeal comes out (after the first Zeal is upgraded, of course, because of the unique passive).

kile1471 votes

I thought Olaf was classified as a juggernaut/diver. His axes+ult make him much harder to kite than a standard juggernaut, but he's still a juggernaut.

Terchio2 votes

Olaf doesn't have the natural defensive steroids really to be a Juggernaut (lifesteal is a meh source at best, at least for melee), and other Juggernauts have better GTFO buttons, making Olaf a much better candidate for Diver. Aside from that, I've yet to see anything that has him pegged as a Juggernaut, while...

http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_champions

... is a list showing him clearly depicted as a diver.

kile1471 votes

He has the same defensive steroids that Darius and Illaoi have (copious amounts of conditional lifesteal) and I swear I saw a Riot list that put him as a juggernaut at one point. That being said he was always on the fence and if you've got a source, even an unofficial one, listing him as a diver that's probably more up to date then my info.

SpecterVonBaren1 votes

I think the difference is his Q and ult. Juggernauts are supposed to be slow and kitable but with his Q giving him almost a permaslow if continually landed and his ult making him immune to CC, he bypasses the natural weakness of a juggernaut.

Tik1155 votes

her E range is 225, you can walk the same distance in the same time as her E cast time, it is not a gap closer.

Double its range THEN you'll have a point

I bet you didn't know that if you cast Empowered Whiplash on a foe that is moving to a location far away from you, you follow them.

Yes. Every single one of these as well as flash and Thresh's lantern can be gap-closed to mid-dash without fail. You WILL end up where they are, 1 unit from the center of them (provided they are moving faster than you dash). Zac flies through the air rather slowly, so it doesn't necessarily put you where he lands, just where he was when you completed your dash.

(Technically, vs Evelynn, you are not going to move very far, but the Empowered Whiplash will pull you to the center of her if you are out of basic attack range, as it does normally. In her case, since she doesn't have a naturally long reach with her gap closer, its not really considered a gap to close unless she flashes while you are using Empowered Whiplash.)

You have been warned. I am coming to hurt you.

EDIT: Coming to GET ... forget it.

Azadethe2 votes

It's pretty unreliable given the range and visibility though. I've done it to a Graves or a Trist, but it's just pretty rare that it actually helps.

Xurreal1 votes

Timing is the skill you gotta master.

Tristana is an easy kill if you ult to counter her ult.

Whiplashing to her on jump to landing requires the perfect timing.

Honestly, if the range were increased, it'd be more noticeable by a lot more people, being Trist is a common ADC.

EDIT: But then it'd be too easy, too much of a buff if too far.

a random hoe1 votes

honestly, evelynn cant really gap close being that her w reveals her to target and if she gets too close (about 2 times her e size) she is revealed, and unless if you have eyes and are not dumb you will run and almost every champ has an ability able to cc her to stop her or dash away. Not to mention summoner 4

also any champ can be mobile with items but we are talking about base movement and ability movement, also in some cases you might need item 3111 or item 3047 for defense, maybe evenitem 3020 if you are on the offensive side.

LeBlanc Rose2 votes

Just saying, but outside of Rito's definition, 4 things are needed for an assassin to operate:

  1. A way to get into range. With some champions, like Akali, this involves long range dashes. However, it can also be invisibility. I know he is classed as an ADC, but when Twitch isn't team-melting levels of gold, he goes invisible and kills a low person or two, then reactivates his stealth and runs away. For eve, her 'range', effectively is her Q length for W charm. Of course, she is visible for a bit and needs to land a skillshot, but she still is 'in range'. However, she then needs to get into melee while they are charmed to deal damage.
  2. A way to stay in range. For eve, this is firstly her charm, which prevents them from running away. Then, you E in and start murdering them. You are now in range for a long enough time to kill them.
  3. A way to kill your target. Eve firstly has her q and e for reasonable damage, often reducing them to a low amount, but not killing them outright. She then can R to finish them off. What I have found, is when you attempt to kill someone without R, you get them very low, but then run dry and have no more damage.
  4. A way to get out of enemies range. Your R facilitates this, as you can use it to go over a wall, and then pop into stealth.
HaIlMonitor1 votes

To be fair about only half of the assassins only have mobility on R.

i think they should increase the cast range of W so you can mark somebody from really far away so you can mindgame with it

Doesn't it only show the direction you're coming from, rather than your actual self?

iamthegoatofwar1 votes

Given the range isn't that basically the same thing?

Elikain1 votes

No, it doesn't. The charm indicator is the first thing that shows up on the at the top of the enemy's HP bar and it recharges for 2.5 seconds. Once it is ready, it points to your general direction, not the distance you're from the target. This lets the enemy at least have a response planed to your attack but they do not know when you're about to go all in.

Gotta have the counterplay. CC from permastealth isn't a fun mechanic and we had the same experience with old Rengar's ! indicator that didn't show his direction before he jumped on your ass and mauled you in under a half a second. Riot learned a lesson or two from old stealth champ designs that didn't work out in practice.

Barcid3 votes

Remove the speed boost from her E, give it to her W mark.

Yeah, that'd be more reasonable, honestly. Only thing I don't like about that is that now we basically have Warwick - E follows targets, jumps to them, does % health damage, and she gets a speed boost toward a hunted target.

At the same time, increasing her E range would also still mean basically the same thing, so fuck it.

Tormentula2 votes

Or make the first cast of her Q go through minions and stop at the first champion/large monster it hits, and make the other cast prioritize units that are marked by W.

And make her empowered E apply 2 or 3 on-hit effects so item 1418 /item 3091 /item 3153 are options like they were pre-rework

You can build a pretty offensive AD Eve still, but your damage will be about the same or less than if you just went AP..

I use Iceborne still, since it really hasn't changed at all on Eve's kit, although sometimes I get both Iceborne AND Lich Bane so that I can do lich damage to the initial target, but have the cheap slow around her target on proc.

I find without Iceborne, some matchups are just stupidly oppressive, but with it she's viable.

I'll probably play around with a Hextech and a Sterak's after 7.22, but other than that, I doubt I'll touch too much AD (Sterak's will make team dives more viable to do aoe % damage, get in a q, and then R out when they try to cc you to death. It also adds damage to Lich bane).

Elikain1 votes

Uh, under the new runes you have the keystone rune to slow targets on attacks. Going with Iceborn isn't really getting you anywhere closer to being a stronger Eve as rushing Rylai's has better results.

Even Sterak's looks questionable to me. Why? It's not really worth the defensive stats, its passive and even Spellblade boost effect as Eve can get a lot more out of AP items that pair with HP because all of her kit is then benefiting from it. In Sterak's case, only her E (PBE %AD scaling instead of flat magic damage). Maybe i'm not realizing the potential of your hybrid build but it really doesn't sound appealing to me.

Azadethe1 votes

Iceborne has never been about Damage. It's about being the cheapest full build 20% CDR item. It's been about the effective armor boost it gives. It's about your ability to stay in the fight longer, and more often. It's like building a more useful Frozen Heart. It's been about countering junglers like Hecarim.

Rylai does not have better results. In competitive play, it offers no CDR, and the slow is small (20%), and has a long cooldown in a skirmish. it's basically a tiny bit more HP and AP. While those are helpful, they are not as helpful as more armor in the Lethality/Duskblade meta. CDR and Armor are king.

The reason is simply that Eve is not on a full AP build, a team fighter who uses her E correctly, or survives a cc chain.

If you're vs a high CC team, and you try to pick someone off in a team fight, full AP is a death sentence, and results in a situation where the cc lasts too long, even if you go Mercurial boots. Sterak's however, adds you a healthy barrier, will stack you up to 70% Tenacity. 70% cc Tenacity = the opportunity in a team fight not to be a 2 second death, and get your R out of a fight.

Which does more damage?

  1. Waiting for the group fight to fizzle and split up (which it may not) to participate?
  2. Diving a group fight on full AP, and only getting a Q and E off, but being stunned before you can out with an ult, heavily limiting your damage output, putting your team out a fighter, and feeding the other team the shutdown?
  3. Sacrificing 70-100 AP, Diving the group, getting an AOE E off, a Q off, getting cc'd, but then proccing sterak's, and then being able to get out with R, dealing aoe group damage to their team, managing to kill 1-2, leaving the others crippled, and then healing in stealth and re-engaging with your team vs what's left?

Sometimes you need to decide whether being a glass cannon is good or bad. Sometimes, it's far stronger to build some sustain, and Zhonya's/Banshee's aren't enough.

In Eve's case, I generally do about TWICE as much damage on a semi tank eve, than as a full AP one, simply because she can succeed more.

Elikain1 votes

I doubt you can do more damage with a semi tank Eve, especially when you're sacrificing AP for resistance and survivability. Her abilities won't be doing good damage and aren't that heavy on base damage either. The only selling point of those builds is perhaps durability but that's really besides the point once you're no longer a threat.

Now we asks ourselves the question: is it better to burst or "deal sustained" damage? That depends how much you're being weaker by being tankier as a result. Eve isn't sticky by default, her selling point is charming someone, comboing, ulting and getting out. I honestly don't see any major damage in the builds you're suggesting as Iceborn offers no AP. It's just a mana battery with a good amount of armor and CDR. Its Spellblade effect is 2 times weaker than TriForce's and that's a 1000 gold more expensive to get.

20% CDR can be achieved through many means on the new runes, and with the proper path overlapping with CDR runes, your ult can have 60% CDR on any champion. That's like what, 34-44 seconds ult CD on lvl 16 for Eve? That's pretty good and even better from what imagined.

Also, your build is basically a throwback to her bruiser days which i hated with a passion. After Eve received many nerfs to stop her from being a problem with permastealth, her assassin builds (although still viable) were less powerful than her more tankier builds because she didn't have any form of an engage to capitalize on her damage. Your opponents were either stupid and were letting themselves be ganked left and right by you or they were to defensive, effectively making you useless and buying time until the late game where you truly couldn't lift a finger to help your team do anything.

R, dealing aoe group damage to their team

Her R is a mediocre ability without any major AP and also weaker if you're not getting to that double damage threshold.

Azadethe1 votes

Try it in practice mode.

I still pull 330 AP on an average game, and in a long game almost 700.

You literally only lose about 90 - 120 damage vs 4k hp targets. And because you survive more, you can utilize the aoe % damage on eve's E, rather than trying to pop a single target in an elo where single fights don't exist. Mine gets up to 140 + 23% using an Iceborne atm... + Stormlord's + Lichbane on the main target. Vs an adc, that's 1141 damage. And, because it's an aoe, her E will do 140+23% + 125% Base AD damage to surrounding targets.

Right now, that's only 140 + 23% + 140 = 280 + 23% max hp to surrounding targets. The patch on said build raises that by 88 damage.

I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but vs a team of 3 tanks with 4k hp, that's 1200 damage aoe. And then, you execute the adc with your R on your way out, dealing 4 targets of about 600 damage each, and overkilling the adc with 1200.

Just in those two skills, you just did 9,541 damage in 2 seconds, pre - mag resist mitigation. And, you're not dead. so you can go back and do more.

That's not weak damage....

The current meta Eve build only incorporates 20% TOTAL CDR in a feasible game: 10% Lich bane, 10% Proto Belt, and that's a problem, which creates the complaints most eve players are finding.

If it's a mage team I'm killing, i do indeed sometimes go Morellonominon or a Nashor's. It varies based on the team I'm fighting.

But I can tell you this: a Zhonya's is NOT enough armor in today's AD meta. You might as well have naked armor with just a Zhonya's vs 3 Lethality + BC + Mortal/Lord D's... which is what 50% of champs are building right now. You feasibly need 200 armor+ to do anything in a large engagement vs Lethality or survive a Twitch.

There. Are. No. AP. Armor. Items.

Elikain1 votes

I'm still sceptical because the values of AP you're saying you can get, i can't even reach most of the time with full AP builds (700+). And this is with a full squish build, only having R to pull you out of a tough fight. Especially if you replace one or two items with Iceborn and Sterak's. That's just not possible.

What is your build, if i may ask? Let me investigate in Practice first.

~300 AP sounds reasonable which is where most mages sit with a partial build and good damage numbers. Eve doesn't really need that much AP if she's winning, which is why i am actually testing lane Eve on PBE a lot. I can't make her work like that now on Live but on PBE, new runes are OK for that purpose as well. We'll see how it works out on Live in any case.

Azadethe1 votes

It depends on the game. My builds vary from 28-100 AP BASE, depending on if there's a threat for which I need move speed runes, or extra armor. Eve doesn't need armor to farm, and on a tanky build doesn't always need the extra armor to stack, because she just doesn't stay in the fight. And by building 100 AP scaling, you ensure very early on that your passive won't just heal you up; It will heal you up to 80-90% of your max HP at the first half of the game after a few levels.

I had a game last night where I went 13/9/15 Where I had Seraph's, Frozen Heart, Lich Bane, Luden's Echo, Mercurials, and an Abyssal Mask which I believe had to the effect of 598 AP (Had a tough game where we had 3 overkill AD's like Nasus, Lucian, and Olaf, but they were getting carried by a smurfish Annie who did 92k champ damage and erased our adc before every fight started.... and the adc begged me to charm her, so she obviously didn't know how Eve's Charm works..... because Annie was sniping her out of shadows and always was obstructed by her other teammates...)

But.... I was erasing Olaf and Lucian, dealing about 75% of Lucian's HP per E, and having enough left to kill him after GA procs.....

Point is.... you can sub a Luden's Echo for the jungle item, because Eve has so much Mana in her base items she doesn't need jungle echo. Some games, unless i need the wards, I just get the hunter's talisman, and then build straight into a Luden's.

Elikain1 votes

I'm having difficulty reaching 598 AP with the Seraph's, Frozen Heart, Lich Bane, Luden's Echo, Abyssal Mask (+ Elixir of Sorcery active). the best i could do was 429 AP. That's 169 AP less and that's a pretty good damage chunk gone for some tank stats.

This is why i am questioning this build. Sure it does damage but you can't get to AP that's equivalent to a full AP build with less or any defensive items. My full AP build (Seraph's, Rabadon's, Zhonya's, Lich Bane, Luden's Echo + Elixir of Sorcery) hits 808 AP and that's 379 AP more than the "bruiser" build.

Keep in mind that 808 AP is late, late game AP and that in most cases, you won't get to these numbers. The best case scenario. Same goes for the other build. If you're buying Abyssal Mask and Frozen Heart, you're getting no damage increase in your abilities for quite some time.

The differences in stats between the two builds are (both have Merc Threads):

Level 18 Eve, bruiser build (429 AP, 197 armor, 145 mr, 45% CDR, 2350 HP) Level 18 Eve, full AP build (808 AP, 145 armor, 90 mr, 25% CDR, 2001 HP)

-379 AP, +52 armor, +55 mr, +349 HP. Damage maximums are also different. It does look like that the "bruiser" Eve can work but you're paying a price for that. It isn't necessarily better than the AP build but it appears it's on a game-to-game basis.

I've also identified that Runic Echos is only good for the jungle, your burst is actually hurting because it's less base damage + scaling. Wanted to try and replacing it with a Luden's but still retaining the jungle item for some time and then pawning it off in the late game.

Out of curiosity, have you done this on PBE or is this strictly on Live testing?

Azadethe1 votes

I'm coming up with 519 AP when I'm calculating with an Elixir. Keep in mind I said that sometimes I actually run a 100 AP rune/mastery build (scale to 18, gain 5 AP/level), because Evelynn does not need Armor to farm jungle because her passive heal supplements. It does make her a paper tiger on pushing/tanking a turret, but the trade off when running some tanky items is immense.

I'll say it again. I don't ALWAYS play tanky. There's just some match ups where it seems like the better choice. For example, vs a 3-4 tank team, Eve really is at risk of getting cc'd down to the point no matter how high your AP is, you won't get the chance to often use it because she will die before she even gets free of the cc to ult.

In fact, one of my most successful games was : Hunter's Talisman > Wisp > Boots of Swiftness > Luden's Echo > Lich Bane > Rod of Ages > Void Staff and Finally a Hextech Gunblade. Not much in the way of CDR, but the assassinations were purely oppressive, and that was vs a bunch of champs which SHOULD counter Eve: Jayce, Sivir, Amumu, Cho. That game I just went pure AP because by level 8 or so I was 10/1/8. By the end of the game I was 20/4/12

But, You can't always do that. There are at least 80 Champs in league that can make pure AP eve hell.

Sometimes my only tank items are a Banshee's and a Zhonya. Other times I do those 2 + a Iceborne. Or in a game where I have a really high burst high stick adc like Lucian, trade the Iceborne for a Frozen Heart (because he's going to go Lord Dominik's, so it's better to have less HP and more armor)

I was originally a fan of "as high as I can go AP" too. But, there's just so many instances where a high AP Eve gets shut out of the fight. In a team fight, if you only have 2k hp and 808 AP, you're going to die the second you try to Q poke, because the other team has skills that are longer than an 800 range. And a High AP Eve can't rightly utilize her E unless it's a solo kill. She sucks at turret pushing as well.... so if you're vs a team that makes pure AP Eve useless, you've pretty much handicapped your team to a 4v5 with the occasional last second Eve burst. I mean.... at that point.....a Jungle Ezreal is a better pick, even though that's just a super troll jungler.

I've even moved away from exclusively using Mobis, because most teams expect them now, and if you have Mobis, and the other team RG's you or has built in long range poke, your Mobis won't help you escape a fight anymore. You can R, but there are ton's of champs that catch up to R, like a Karma or Sona. I'm finding a good Karma is a NIGHTMARE for Eve.

And this is live testing. This account's MMR is already shot for this season because of my initial 20 or so Eve games getting dominated by Jarvan /Xin Elo boosters, and it's only getting worse as frantic low elo people are paying for boosts to gold before the season ends.

I haven't had any real Eve "Failures" yet, imo. Even the losses have usually been stalemates for me, or if negative, only slightly so, usually due to my team feeding when I'm not there, or snowballing an elo booster. They feel like wins by how I played. And, about the last 15-20 games have REALLY felt good, like I had a zone. I'm still scared of Jarvan, and I hate Sona games atm (manageable but if built right she's really annoying in preventing assassinations), Kha Zix games, and Nasus games.

I've started playing around with a Stonepact build just to get the Extra Tenacity/Slow resistance vs a Nasus, and it seem viable enough. He's really broken after the Sterak's change (Trinity + Steraks = hardest hitting slow in the game coming from the only champ with a .5-1 second skill during ult that can do 1500-2k each hit, who also is almost immune to cc. Takes away Thunderlord's, but leaves me with much better cc game survivability. That'll change with runes though.

Elikain1 votes

I'll try to see if i can incorporate some of these into my builds but i still don't like some of them. As i've said before, bruiser-ish Eve is off-putting to me because her older state was an abomination caused by the nerfs to keep her permastealth nature in check. That and the fiasco with brusier Fizz, Ekko and Fiora...ugh.

I'm not thick-headed though. I'm not gunning every game to be a squishy Eve. In one game, against enemy TF, i even rushed Banshee's super early so that my stealth is not always negated every time he'd want to ult for a gank. But the most i was willing to go with in terms of "tank" stats is Rylai's, Liandry's, Banshee's and sometimes DMP. Boots of choice against certain matchups as well.

Perhaps in the new runes, i'd have more options but under these runes, i'd probably have to run everything AP or AP/level in order to compensate for tankier builds and make sure i don't lose too much damage. But that doesn't really sound that appealing to me as i'm losing my CDR blues which i can never part from no matter which champ i'm playing.

Elikain1 votes

#Eh, no. I just want to add a distinction that Eve's Charm isn't a debuff until it is procced. Which means that it can't be cleansed, which is the same as Zed's ult and Fiora's ult. Giving Eve this bonus would half way undermine the reason why Riot didn't make her that reliable in CC department if you could just point and click charm on an enemy from 3000 range away and rush towards them in a second.

#Here are more reasons why this shouldn't be done:

#Inspiration path

Keystone rune

Glacial Augment - attacks slow by up to 20-40% (ranged) or 40-50% (melee) for 2 seconds.

Secondary rune

#Sorcery path

Keystone rune

Phase Rush - hitting an enemy champion with 3 separate attacks or abilities grants a 3 second MS burst of 15-40% (based on level). Melee champions also gain a 75% slow resistance for the same duration.

Secondary rune

Celerity - gain 4% MS and add 8% of your bonus MS to your AD or AP (adaptive bonus).

#Domination path

Keystone rune

Predator - enchant your boots to gain this effect. Gain 45% MS for 15 seconds. Using an attack or an ability ends this effect, dealing bonus adaptive damage.

Fleet Footwork - attacking or moving generates Energy stacks. At 100 stacks, your Energized attack heals you and increases your MS by 30% for 1 s.

#Resolve path

Keystone rune

Guardian - Guard allies within 175 units from you. If you or your ally take damage, gain a shield and haste _20% MS for 1.5 s.

As you can see, there are a lot of options to specialize champions in MS department in each path. Currently, any kind of buffs/nerfs outside of some small number adjustments would be a stretch because the new runes are going to change the game for quite a lot. If Eve needs more help after the pre-season, i'm sure Riot's going to help her out. But not before.

Keystone rune

Glacial Augment - attacks slow by up to 20-40% (ranged) or 40-50% (melee) for 2 seconds.

Secondary rune

Approach Velocity - gain 10% MS to nearby movement impaired ally champions or enemy champions that you impair.

#Sorcery path

Keystone rune

Phase Rush - hitting an enemy champion with 3 separate attacks or abilities grants a 3 second MS burst of 15-40% (based on level). Melee champions also gain a 75% slow resistance for the same duration.

Secondary rune

Waterwalking - gain 25 MS and an adaptive damage bonus when in the river.

Secondary rune

Relentless Hunter - gain 8 out of combat MS + 8 per bounty hunter stack. Earn BH stacks on champion takedowns.

In theory all good. But keep in mind, there are FAR stronger runes than move speed. And all champs will have the same move speed access. Guardian for example could easily help run away from Eve. And, many people will be 1 hitting.

I've only outlined the keystones and masteries across their respective paths that help with MS problems. So if you really need something for your champion, you can optimize in that direction either fully or partially. Yes, everyone has access to the same runes but then you'd have to also assume they're going to pick the same runes as you to keep the status quo and negate your stats with theirs.

In reality, there is going to be a lot of other combinations and people just wouldn't pick utility over damage in most cases.

Yup. if Dark Harvest doesn't get changed, Ezreal jungler will 1 hit 2-3k hp champs over walls without any actual prevention, and the ability to do it repeatedly to different targets.

The new PBE changes have some Dark Harvest nerfs or adjustments, if i saw them correctly.

None of these Runes will help her with problem getting close to her target to charm. Besides water-walking but that is too situational.

Unless you don't know what movement speed means in this game, yes they will. Any of them. Predator especially.

You must've not read the entire post at all. Or not tested the runes. Doesn't matter, you'll see soon enough.

All of them require her to be in ranged to attack or use her spells to activate the MS bonuses. The thread is about her getting close enough to get her charm off none of them helps her achieve that besides waterwalking but like I said that is situational.

Are you forgetting her Q is a mid-range skillshot? Someone's intentionally overlooking something here. This is how you'd normally proc the charm anyway and once you do, you get all the benefits of MS runes, which means that the enemy is unlikely able to put enough distance between you and them.

In any case again, Predator being a situational keystone? Enchant your boots, press a button and get a 45% MS boost for 15 seconds? I get the feeling you're trolling me for the sake of you maintaining the illusion you're right in some manner.

Some of these runes are situational but getting any kind of a takedown (kill or assist) with Eve isn't hard. And some runes allow you to stack % ooC MS from these takedowns, essentially being your personal Wind Dragon buff. When you're using your charm, you're not considered as "in combat" so you're not losing that bonus.

There are plenty of ways to optimize Eve's stats if you feel like she's lacking in some ways and the best part is that multiple trees offer these bonuses. So you choose your playstyle and pick the runes accordingly. That's the whole point of the new rune system.

How about instead of all that, Eve gets her E range doubled if she lands the first part of her Q? That way she has a follow up if she lands her engage. (Which is usually charm, then proccing it with Q)

originally i was going to think that eve would have mana problems, but item 1402 procs so often with her Q that it isn't a problem. So i'd say her only real problem is "getting in", which can be solved by item 3152 if u don't mind losing out on item 3146
