Crazy Azir Rework idea! Slight wall of text.

Passive would be similar to live except it doesn't replace a dead turret. Azir instead Shurimafies a friendly turret by covering it completely in sand. The turret health bar is replaced with the sand health bar that decays over a minute and increases turret damage based on AP. Has a 2 second cast time of the sand slowly covering it. If Azir or the turret die during the cast time then the cooldown is reduced by 50%.

Q would be the same except deal no damage, have a heavily reduced mana cost and cooldown, and no longer slow.

W gets a few changes. Soldiers now have a health bar and can be targeted but they last longer now(by 2-3 seconds). Azir will have a slight mana cost reduction, faster recharge, and at level 12 soldiers passively take 25% reduced aoe damage. Soldiers can be cc'd but will move no matter what right away when Azir uses Q. Soldiers die to 1-2 turret shots no matter their health(will scale off AP) and they can auto turrets but turrets can only take damage as if only 1 soldier was attacking it. Turrets prioritize soldiers unless Azir is in tower range attacking the enemy.

E costs 1 soldier charge and gives Azir a shield based on his AP. Azir will gain 50% increased soldier respawn time for 1 second after casting E. Shield comes out and after 1.5 seconds rapidly decays away.

R would be the same but no longer damage enemies. Instead of damaging them Azir gets more soldiers summoned and they last longer. Soldiers from this spell can be attacked but they take 90% reduced damage if you attack the shield side. They cannot be cc'd or repositioned.

Uh yeah no.

What he really needs is shorter Q range, auto attack max distance (so he can't auto attack you from 340-9812439 miles away), and some extra tank stats to keep him alive since he's closer to enemies.

I was thinking of an Azir that commands the battlefield from afar but isn't totally safe or mobile at all. Maybe a bit too safe still.

people will flip if shurima shuffle is gone, we need to keep it. it's either going to be range or mobility, most want his mobility.

people tend to flip whenever anyone mentions buffing him*. They're just leaning for the biased solution of reworking him and removing a mechanic (a nerf essentially) and making him some pseudo-Ryze with low range, and if they buff his damage for compensation? the old bandwagon will go overboard again on the boards campaigning for nerfs.

Just chill out buddy, you're not in charge of balancing the game, Rioters stated Azir's soloqueue has always been fine since 6.11, they're hitting him around competitive only. Only a high-class jackass would actually try to balance champions around what the dumbasses on the boards whine about, because the two excuses are he's OP in soloqueue and when his winrate is actually brought on the table people switch to the LCS OP argument. There's no solid ground for Azir's last round of nerfs.

You Azir mains are going to give me an aneurism. Your head is to far beneath the ground to ever see why he needs a rework before he can be buffed.
