Not league related but I finally lost the weight to join the National Guard

Last year in January I wanted to join the National Guard but weighed 243lbs, they told me I needed to weigh 184lbs for my height of 5'9.

Today I weighed myself in at 183lbs, I finally made the goal.

Im going to go sign up today, I'm so happy right now.

Good job on the weight loss. That couldn't have been easy.

What MOS are you considering? Also consider going active duty for your first contract. You can always add me if you have questions. I am an AIT instructor at FT Gordon.

Personally I'm too thin, and need to gain a few pounds. But good on you [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Hey congrats on accomplishing your goal to join the army. I recently joined and am loving it so far. As long as you survive basic, it's really friggin easy. I'm stationed over in Korea right now and am loving it for the most part. Like I said, as long as you survive basic (and depending on AIT), it's really enjoyable and really easy. Good luck, battle.

Always happy to see someone losing weight (when they want to), and joining the military. Good luck to you.

I don't want to be THAT guy.. but I'ma be THAT guy.. so I spent about 6 years in. Much of it in Benning and some at Bragg. I'm Vet SpecOps, about 205 6'1 but when I joined I was about 165. That fast food is crushing you, good on your for getting fit and signing. But they will send you to the same exact Basic Training as the Reg/Reserve Armies. So it's great you made weight and you will probably walk in a lot physically stronger than a lot of recruits but try to get that focus outside before you leave. Otherwise you'll save all your worse withdrawals while you are feeling poopy af in training. That can break a man trying to deal with losing all those bad habits at once. But just remember, it's only 3ish months. Just keep pushing and always do that extra 15 minutes. Good luck brother.
