Bruisers are so op with their op steraks item

Pyrithegethon··83 votes·4,664 views

The LCS proved it with all those op Bruiser picks and bans. All those Bruisers that werent banned got that op steraks item.

For example that OP Bruiser Kalista and Quinn are so op, Bruisers need nerfs.

Thank Riot they are nerfing op Steraks on those Bruisers. Darius got banned 6 times because of op Bruisers.

Please make Steraks melee only or need 3k health to work.

Kindred is the most OP bruiser in the game, 5 stacks Hemorrhage and dunks me for 1k true damage wtf?

Only Play Darius11 votes

Make it melee only, then nerf Kalista into the ground just for good measure

5 Stacks GG9 votes

^making it need 3000 hp and ranged seems like a way better fix

Hemulen Magi9 votes

Nerf marksmen base AD & base AD scaling per level. Widen the base stat gap between them and their opponents. Being ranged is incredibly valuable at every stage of the game.

Why not both? That way only Juggernauts (you know, the class that was supposed to benefit from it) would actually buy it.

Lol, considering how I see every melee adc building typical juggernaut, I hardly believe that would be the case,

Melee adcs have over 3k health? Since when?

Sire Hippington2 votes

since titanic hydra titanic+steraks easly gives the 3k at 18, as most melee carrys have ~2200hp at 18

So? Playing a lot of 50/50 40+ min games in this meta?

This seems like fotw complaining.

If it's a problem, Riot will adjust the price like they did with dead plate.

Make item 3053 Sterak's Fury require 3k total health to proc, then buff Mordekaiser Mordekaiser's level 18 health by 150 as specific compensation. He can afford the buff right now.

Bring health seals, complete item 3116 Rylai's, then shop to complete item 3053 Sterak's when you have enough gold to buy an extra item 1028 Ruby Crystal with it. You can use the extra item 1028 Ruby later on for whatever other defensive/bruiser item you want item 3742 item 3102 item 3151 item 3143 item 3065 item 3083 item 3068 item 3748 item 3022.

i don't recommend item 3022 when you already have item 3116 . you'll have hp and that's all. the ad you get from it isn't worth either

Hemulen Magi1 votes

I was just listing a bunch of random options that the ruby I mentioned could be built into. Obviously, you wouldn't build all of those, since Mordekaiser doesn't get 12 item slots. I would personally probably build the Banshee's Veil in most cases.

Khâmul1 votes

what's your core build?

Hemulen Magi2 votes

I like to change up my build rather than buying the same items each game. I pretty much always get item 1306 item 3116 item 3742. I usually do something like item 1306 item 3116 item 3145 item 3742 item 3053 item 3102 where I will sell and replace the revolver with a Deathcap/Luden's/Liandry if the game goes on long enough or rarely I will upgrade it to a gunblade.

I like to take him into the jungle sometimes, in which case I use something like item 1306 item 1400 item 3124 item 3146 item 3116 item 3742 or item 1306 item 1401 item 3145 item 3116 item 3742 item 3102. However, I will probably start using the new item 1402 since it looks a lot better than Warrior for Morde now and the new Udyr build has given me the idea to test out item 3512 on Morde.

I think that anti-burst like item 3053 item 3102 are more important in laning and sustain + DPS like item 3124 item 3145 item 3065 are more important in jungling.

Here is my new theorycrafted jg build (I need to actually test it): item 1306 item 1402 item 3116 item 3146 item 3742 item 3512 for a decently mobile/sticky jg Mordekaiser.

The main problem that requiring 3k hp for Sterak's would cause for Morde would be if he wanted it early or if he were going with a squishier build. Rylai's is pretty much core for most Morde players, but I don't think that Deadman's is used as much. I think a lot of Morde's go Rylai's straight to Sterak's, so if Sterak's were given a 3k health limitation, Morde should probably be compensated with that playstyle in mind. Like I mentioned earlier, if he were given another 150 hp at level 18 then he would be able to still get Sterak's early on if he brings hp seals and buys an extra ruby, so I think that solution works well for compensating him.

I usually go item 3116 item 3151 item 1323 item 3065 as core item in toplane. for the two last slots , it can be item 3135 item 3001 item 3053 item 3146 item 3075 item 3143 item 3157 item 3089 or item 3285. it depends of what is facing me. seems to work pretty good with summoner 6 summoner 14 . I'm going to try summoner 6 summoner 1 in a few day when my pc gets repared .in end game with item 2138 you reach 40 tenacity. I think it would be op to get almost immune to control. it'll allow to spam your E (cdr/level quint,+15%) and survive without requiring sterak (dispelling ignite is also nice)

Max Order; E->Q->W get W at level two though to powerpush the enemy.

My preferred build's something like this; item 3116 item 3053 item 3146 item 3065 item 3157

You can cheese your enemy laner with your flash Q if you poke them down with your siphon and get them low enough.

After Rylais is your first powerspike, the next one's at your Gunblade.

Anything specific though?

But my Jayce uses it qq. He's actually a bruiser by design.

aperson14 votes

They should increase the damage threshold for the shield to proc. That way you actually have to be tanky to take advantage of the shield without dying.

Also, Kalista's base AD is way too high. "Muh 90% damage" please. She already has Rend to make her last hitting easier, there's 0 reason for it to start off higher than every melee champ except Maokai.

Photos of Ghosts2 votes

I like the 3k health idea. It allows me to build actual bruiser Quinn and still get the items as they're supposed to be, but pesky squishies don't.

Sageace2 votes

The main reason why they won't make it a melee item only is because Gnar exists.

He is a ranged Fighter (that eventually does become melee once almost every minute...)

SH Azykan5 votes

it would just only proc the passive if he is in mega gnar, which generally is the only time you should need it anyways

Plus it moves FMal Gnar a little further away from being total cancer. Still 90% cancer, though.

He has too low base AD stats for it to do anything of worth. You get just tear not manamune BT and the new assassin item. Then you got some options but they are limetted since crits do nothing for you and you need to max CDR.

Chuck Charles2 votes

i think you miss the point man. if non intended roles are abusing an item, then it means the item is simply broken or overpowered. sterak's in my opinion will always be incredibly hard for them to balance because the shield is actually damn ridiculous in mitigating burst in such a way that no other item is better at doing this on characters who build AD. it needs to be toned down big time.

ADCs just abuse it best because they have the highest dps and they usually have a lot of lifesteal to go with their high dps/life steal so they can sustain through burst which is supposed to be their only weakness.

Frius1 votes

true ,warmog requires 3k health to regen ,then this seriously needs 3k too.

DarkRitual2 votes

3k is hilariously easy to obtain for warmogs. Level 14+ Morgana with warmogs has it. I've gotten the passive on Soraka with just Warmogs and Ruby Sightstone (heals4eva). This would work for Sterak's though, since it doesn't give of health a lot by itself. Adjusting the shield to have a small base plus lower % of Max Health would also be an option. Something like 200+15% Max Health. Option 2: Make it scale off of Bonus Health.

ManiacalCoyote1 votes

Dammit, don't lump all of us bruisers into the same pot. I don't use item 3053.

Instead, I use: item 3110item 3078item 3065item 1306item 3083item 3074

Then again, I use Nasus

Is item 3053 OP? Yes. should it be nerfed? Not necessarily. hear me out; when an Item gets bought all the time, be it item 3053 or item 3742 (until recently), It means that they're just the best option at the moment. When Items (or champions for that matter) are nerfed because they're popular, it just means the rest of the current Items are too weak. Like when until the cost increase, I would always get item 3742 instead of item 3143 , partly because item 3143 was just not good enough to warrant getting. I didn't want item 3742 to get nerfed, simply item 3143 to be buffed. I know we're talking about item 3053 , but I feel we should use the same kind of thinking here: what could we do to make there be a, if not better, different option?

I'm not saying we never need to nerf anything (maybe make item 3053 melee only would be a good idea), but I'd rather see that ''item diversity'' we were promised, instead of ''it's good (fun), nerf it''.
