Igni the Fae of Flames - Primary: Mage - Secondary: Tank
LORE
Mischievous as he is dangerous, Igni playfully scorches the battlefield with his abilities, causing panic and danger to those who dare tread against him. Initially a fae spirit from the Glade who mistook a little ember as a living thing and accidentally played with it, unknowingly taking on the properties of fire itself and causing random wildfires to the forests he wandered. Threatened by these unnatural events, the Institute of War dispatched Annie to find the cause, despite her youth, her magic over fire and her personal
bodyguardfriend, Tibbers, were something that suited the role despite the danger.Tracking the latest wildfire, Annie returned to the Institute of War to introduce her friend, Igni - the cause of the destruction. With further assistance from Lulu, it was deduced that the destruction were not intentional at all and by all means - Igni wishes to stay and play a bit more. Questioned loomed around the superiors of the Institute by if by all means that they could secure any possible future disasters relating to unnatural wildfire, Igni was allowed to stay and participate in the League of Legends to test how dangerous or innocent this creature is.
"I like Igni, his fire is weird. But I like all kinds of fire. I hope Tibbers won't get jealous..." - Annie
Abilities
Wildfire
Igni's basic abilities costs Health but allows him to ignite the things around him, inflicting Wildfire on enemy units affected by his abilities for 6 seconds.
Igni's basic attacks on an enemy unit consumes Wildfire, dealing (8 x Champion Level) + (25% of Ability Power) magic damage and healing Igni for half of the amount.
If Igni's Abilities come in contact with a brush, it momentarily sets it on fire, dealing (4 x Champion Level) magic damage per second for 3 seconds to all enemy units within the brush, revealing them and inflicting a stack of Wildfire. An enemy champion may only receive Wildfire once per ignited brush.
Ember Flash - Health Cost: 4% of current Health | Cast Range: 600 | Radius: 300 | Cooldown: 8 / 7.5 / 7 / 6.5 / 6 seconds
Igni sets a small area on fire, dealing 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 + (45% of Ability Power) magic damage. After 2 seconds, Ember Flash is triggered again on the same area, dealing the same amount of damage.
Combustion - Health Cost: 4% of current Health | Radius: 350 | Cooldown: 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 seconds
Igni releases a burst of flame, dealing 60 / 90 / 110 / 140 / 170 + (30% of Ability Power) magic damage to all enemy units around him. If an enemy currently affected by Wildfire, Combustion will stun the target for 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 / 1.8 / 2 seconds and refreshes the duration of Wildfire.
Fire Drop - Health Cost: 4% of current Health | Cast Range: 700 | Radius: 300 | Cooldown: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds
Igni jumps into a targeted location, dealing 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 / 150 + (20% of Ability Power) magic damage. If Igni hits at least 3 enemy units, he may re-cast Fire Drop in the next 3 seconds for free.
Funeral Pyre - Health Cost: 0 | Initial Radius: 400 | Explosion Radius: 550 | Cooldown: 110 / 90 / 70 seconds
Igni starts counting down to 4, during this period Igni cannot perform any basic attack but will release a wave of fire around him for each second, dealing 30 / 40 / 50 + (25% of Ability Power) magic damage. Once the countdown reaches 4 seconds, Igni explodes dealing 150 / 200 / 250 + (70% / 80% / 90% of current Health) magic damage in a large radius around him and turning into a Fire Swarm for 5 seconds.
While in Fire Swarm state, Igni cannot be targeted, attack or cast his abilities/items/summoner spells but gains ignore unit collision, can ignite brushes he passes over and trigger Wildfire by moving over the enemy unit. At the end of the duration, Igni reverts back to his original form, healing 10% of his maximum health + 3% / 5% / 7% per Wildfire consumed.
Gameplay
Igni excels in solo lane and in the jungle, capable of sustaining himself through his passive, Wildfire. While his abilities consumes Health, he can quickly recover from it by means of attacking enemy targets inflicted with Wildfire and given how Ember Flash and Fire Drop can hit twice, allows Igni to recover from the damage much faster.
Skirmishes Igni's ability in a skirmish can't be noticed instantly by rather overtime with proper placement of his abilities allowing him to win over a fight. If initiating a fight, starting off with a Fire Drop against an enemy champion hiding in his minions will certainly allow you to perform another Fire Drop for late user, but more importantly - allows you to close the gap against the enemy champion before landing a Combustion to stun the target followed by a Ember Flash to gain an early upper-hand, if your enemy do decide to fight, try to keep your opponent in place as so that the second Ember Flash would hit the target again, allowing you to constantly heal through your Wildfire while consistently inflicting damage.
Jungle Igni's ability to jungle allows him to sustain himself through Wildfire and another nifty effect of his Passive, setting brushes on fire. This ability allows you to potentially fasten your jungling by setting the brushes on Red Brumbleback and Blue Sentinel on fire. When ganking, initiating with a Fire Drop followed by a quick Combustion could potentially net you and your ally a kill alone.
Team Fight Igni's full potential shines the brightest in a team fight, especially once Funeral Pyre is available. Igni's ability to quick get inside the enemy forces through Fire Drop and create chaos with his Ember Flash and Combustion will forcefully scatter their formation. Once Funeral Pyre has been activated, it would be best for Igni to cover more ground as to deal damage to multiple enemy champions as well as igniting nearby brushes to remove potential hiding spots from your enemies.
Once Funeral Pyre explodes, it would be ideal to be near an enemy champion as to grab your a quick stack of Wildfire before closing gathering more in a much safer distance as reverting them will leave Igni prone to death due to his low health. In order to close off enemy path when chased, try igniting a few brushes to deal some extra damage and if they do choose to continue, you can retaliate with Combustion to surprise them followed by Ember Flash and an optional Fire Drop for escape or extra offense.
