Lore The World at War A dreamer as a child, Grant would look up to the dark skies at night and observe the stars twinkling and sparkling. He was fascinated by such existence that as he grew, he would seek the highest building or area just to watch them until he falls asleep or when the sun rises and covers the stars once more.

Accompanied by his friends who were homeless and abandoned like him, living in a world were war could erupt at any second everywhere. They had to learn how to fend for themselves or face the consequences of dying or even worst, becoming one of "them". From a group of ten or more kids like himself, they dwindled down to four. Like most men, most of their humanity has been removed, specifically - their emotions towards the living. Grant was no exception even as such age, each day a life before their very eyes would disappear as those monsters would devour them with no hesitation.

Moving from one place to another, scavenging tools and weapons from the fallen remains of their race, Grant and his friends would develop their own weapons to defend themselves from the unsuspected. Everyday was a race to survive as the monsters would appear out of nowhere, as if sensing life like snake finding a cornered prey.

Growing into a fierce fighter, Grant become a soldier for the living, bidding to no one - even emperors and kings would do anything they can just so they can earn their protection but their group only fended for themselves as they have did when they were kids. Becoming a skilled gunner, Grant and his friends would win against a small-scale war against the monsters that would dare appear before them, excelling in mowing down his enemies with a hail of bullets.

Their group become renowned and has received praises from many fighters and politicians alike yet they could not show their appreciation as their emotions has long died with their childhood - but not Grant, the small child that lived inside him still continued and as such, he would go out of hiding at night and watch the stars do their dance, a tranquil and peaceful feeling. Hoping what it would feel like to be one of the stars.

One night, Grant would do his usual activity, finding an abandoned building - each step left no traces of his presence nor a sound that would be heard, only the wind masking his breathing. He sat on the edge of the building, head raised up high, a faint smile on his face. The silver diamonds standing out the pitch darkness. Each time, inside he felt relief and everything that has happened in the past was nothing but a bad dream. Until reality struck him in a form of boney-white tooth piercing him in the shoulder, violent green ooze leaking from it. Its one of them and it caught him off-guard.

He could only pray it would end quick as such was the rule of the world. He had left his rifle at base and had no form of communication with his allies. He gazed at the beast's eyes, brilliant purple with a cat's eye staring back at him, intent of not letting him move an inch as the monster's tooth plunge deeper by the second. He closed his eyes, wishing for it to end but he felt it stop. As he opened his eyes, he could see the life leaving from the monster's eyes as what remains of its supposed body has been incinerated.

"I see you adore my creations for quite a while, I felt it is only right to let a fan live in this sort of situation." A large booming voice echoed throughout the night.

Grant could only watch as the night skies twisted to form that of a draconic, body covered in stars instead of scales that he loved as child. A large lion-like face staring back at him.

"Since you're my only fan in this world, do you wish to learn more?" The entity asked.

Grant nodded his head.

The Other World As the night turn to day, I watched as the stars slowly vanish as the sun's light hides them from its brilliant light. The wound on my shoulder served as a reminder that everyone can die at any moment as well as an opportunity to discover new things. Inside me, I can feel a new power rising, immense and powerful yet a child's toy compared to him. A mere human like me can never dream to achieve such greatness but even so, this has brought me new hope to our upcoming battles.

Each fight, I held my rifle by my side as my allied prepared for the incoming onslaught. As someone who isn't capable of performing magic, this might had been my greatest disadvantage but not today nor tomorrow. I aimed my iron sights as a violet portal manifested out of thin air. As the green crystal-like eyes appeared in the darkness, I pulled the trigger as it jumped out of the portal with blazing speed. It read my movements, it could see where my bullet was heading but he did not see what was coming next. The air in front of me started to twist and turn, followed by the actual landscape behind it as it opened another portal, albeit a smaller one. The monster tried to escape my sight by moving above me but little did it know that another portal appeared before it. I could only feel the goo or what seems to be the blood of the monster splashing behind me as my bullet found its mark on its head.

My friends did not wonder as to how I have gained such magic or control as they have been deprived by emotions long time ago. As the fight ended, I waved my hand to close the portal when I caught of a glimpse of a person with white hair. It was like a blink before the faint image disappeared alongside the portal.

Fight after fight, each time I opened a wormhole for a road for my bullets, I keep seeing this boy. Until the moment noticed me, a brief period of time where our eyes met each other but as fast as the portal vanished, the boy disappeared. He didn't felt like in pain like everyone in our world, I would like to meet this person if fate gives a chance... and it did.

In the heat of the battle, I made a fatal mistake that drove an alien horn through my stomach. I could feel my life fading away but then I noticed something in the air, a disturbance. As I laid in the ground, my allies didn't noticed me through the sheer number of foes, I opened a portal and I saw a hand stretched outward coming from it. With my remaining strength, I reached out to it and grabbed the hand before I was pulled in a blink of an eye.

There, I sat with a boy in a city called Zaun. The smell of oil and machinery was new and better than the smell of corpse and blood. The boy healed me, used his weird contraption which warped my body and made my wound disappeared like it never happened. I asked him about this world - Runeterra he says. He asked where I came from but my mind suddenly became hazy, my memories was in chaos. I could only remember pieces of information about my world. He tried to calm me down, saying that the time might have affected me in a different way. I tried to relax but the fact I could remember their faces scares me.

The boy patted me in the back which broke my thought, he introduced himself as Ekko. He asked for my name, even that part of my memory hasn't been in shatters, I looked down at my rifle. The boy spoke, Muz, that will be my name he said. Coming from a foreign world or space, secrets must be kept or people will be flocking around me he said. I nodded. He welcomed me to his place, asking me to feel at home - indeed it felt like home, away from the fights and bloodshed.

But deep down, I know they will come for me - and I'm hoping it will be my friends.

Abilities

Passive - Spacial Rifle - [Basic Attack Modifier]

Muz's Basic Attacks are fired in a skill shot and can be issued by issuing an attack command on the targeted ground or on an enemy unit to fire in the general direction. Each Basic Attack generates 10 Heat upon initiating and an additional 3 Heat per second he maintains a single Basic Attack. Once it reaches 100 Heat, Muz's Spacial Rifle becomes Overheated, rendering him unable to attack for 3 seconds as he discharges the heat from his Spacial Rifle.

Additionally, Muz's Basic Attacks has unique properties:

  • Once issued to perform a Basic Attack, Muz will continuously fire in the target direction until he is issued another command.
  • Basic Attacks passes through enemy units and stops upon reaching maximum range or upon hitting an enemy champion or large monster.
  • Basic Attacks damage decreases by 15% (minimum to 30%) for each enemy unit struck after the first.

Notes:

  • Attack Animation cancellation will not generate Heat.
  • Heat does not decay overtime and will only reset once if Muz dies, the Spacial Rifle becomes Overheated or if Heat Discharge is used.
  • Muz will reveal himself and an enemy champions if struck via Muz's Skill Shot Basic Attack while under the Fog of War.

Q - Bullet Distortion - [Auto-Attack Modifier-Slow] Cooldown: 8 seconds

Muz loads a special bullet into his Spacial Rifle causing his next basic attack for the next 6 seconds to deal additional 10 / 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 + (110% of Attack Damage) physical damage and slows the last enemy unit struck by 2.5% / 3% / 3.5% / 4% / 4.5% per enemy it passes for 2 seconds.

Additionally, the basic attack from Bullet Distortion generates 20 Heat immediately upon fire but does not suffer from damage falloff. Bullet Distortion may be activated prior or while maintaining a Basic Attack without interrupting it.

Notes:

  • Bullet Distortion may still be used while Muz's Spacial Rifle is Overheated but may not perform an Auto-Attack.
  • Bullet Distortion can still be used if the Spacial Rifle's Heat is 99 or below. The additional Heat gained from Bullet Distortion cannot go above 100.

W - Wormhole - [Vector-Skill Shot Modifier] Cooldown: 30 seconds | Cast Range: 450 | Wormhole Range: 475 / 500 / 550 / 600 / 650 (Adjustable)

Muz generates a small wormhole that leads to a different location for 10 seconds. If Muz's Basic Attack passes through the wormhole, the attack range resets and is continued at the exit wormhole at maximum range.

Additionally, Basic Attacks that passes through the wormhole has increased 50% projectile speed and the damage falloff also resets.

Notes:

  • Only Nuz's Basic Attack can pass through the wormhole of which will be fired at the general direction where the exit wormhole is facing.
  • One can adjust the range (invisible tunnel of some-sort) while using Wormhole by means of sliding the cursor back to achieve the ideal distance of the entrance and the exit wormholes prior to casting Wormhole. (Akin to to Viktor's Death Ray and Rumble's The Equalizer but you can drag it around to fix the distance between the two wormholes).
  • Visually, one can imagine an orb(Entrance) that is created nearby Nuz and a small portal(Exit) that is created in a much farther range. Shooting the Orb will cause the attack to be absorbed and re-directed out of the portal.

E - Heat Discharge - [Radial-Damage] Heat Cost: 60 / 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 | Cast Range: 600 | Trigger Range: 60 | Detonation Radius: 200 | Cooldown: 2 seconds

Muz channels for 0.75 seconds as he manifests the heat from his Spacial Rifle into a landmine before throwing it on the targeted ground. The magazine lasts for 30 seconds and explodes if an enemy unit walks over it, thrown directly on an enemy unit or upon end of duration. The magazine deals 60 / 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 + (30% / 35% / 40% / 45% / 50% of Attack Damage) physical damage to nearby enemy units.

Notes:

  • Landmines are visible to enemy champions (unless planted within a brush).
  • Heat Discharge cannot be used if the Heat Cost required has not been achieved.
  • Using Heat Discharge will reduce the current Heat equal to the cost.

Ultimate - Black Hole - [Radial-Crowd Control-Damage] Cast Range: 800 | Pulse Range: 550->500->450 | Explosion Radius: 500 | Cooldown: 120 / 110 / 100 seconds

Muz throws a Black Hole Emulator Grenade on the targeted area that activates after 1.25 seconds and lasts for 3 seconds. Each second the Black Hole releases a pulse that deals 75 / 100 / 125 + (30% of Ability Power) magic damage and enemy units struck are dragged 100 units back towards the Black Hole.

After 3 seconds the Black Hole explodes, dealing 50 / 75 / 100 + (20% of the target's missing Health) magic damage to all enemy units within the area.

Notes:

  • Both the second and the third pulse from the Black Hole has decreased range.

CCOS review

Flaws:

  1. Passive - another take on Rumble's passive, i guess. I would say, that this is pretty good, but this is a common version for many ADC concept - targetless basic attacks. You wouldn't be getting points for unique mechanics here. Also, you seem to forgot to add something to reduce his heat level.
  2. Q - if it can go critical, we might have a problem here. Also, game doesn't differentiate which enemy was hit last. If you hit an enemy, then it either be slowed or not slowed, no matter in what order he was hit. There is several ways how you can go about this, but as it is now, this will not work.
  3. W - you specified that you place a wormhole and basic attack will go through it. Where do they go? If you place one wormhole, when where does they exit? This ability needs to have 2 charges, so you could put 2 wormholes.
  4. E - pretty meh and boring ability. Also, it seems it doesn't have number limit, so you could be throwing them to right and left, preventing enemies from approaching you, as you could be putting 20 of them in the same place. (so, this is the only way to manage heat? if you don't rank this ability up, you will be overheating every 10 basic attacks it seems)
  5. R - looks nice, but it have one crucial flaw. I will assume you are not good with math, so it help you out. Lets say he have build like this: item 3020 item 3115 item 3100 item 3285 item 3116 item 3089 . So, that is about 688 AP. Now, R over its duration will deal: 475 base damage, 1857 from AP and 20% of target's missing health. So, basically 2332 (+20% of enemies' missing health) AOE damage, while they are slowed, knocking into center of this ability. Pretty much 100% kill ability, unless enemy will flash out. Also, keeping in mind that this is AOE ability and CC tool, you don't even need to be good, you could be feeding whole game 0/40/0, but one single good use of this ability and you are god, as you can nearly 1v5 and make ACE while going solo. Now, imagine this in a team fight.
  6. While he is designed to built AD, his AP build could be a true team destroyer, winning all fights with only one ability.

I like this concept quite a bit, mostly due to the functionality of the skills. The passive givse a unique way to attack, and leaves a number of weaknesses for him. The black hole is a bit wonky in that it doesn't seem to have a way to direct the projectile after they reappear at the end.

Otherwise, it's a fun looking kit.

I have his lore ready soon, its practically tied with Ekko and his title is just not for show. He's definitely an "Anomaly".

EDIT: As a due note, I will provide my feedback on the Luca concept most likely tomorrow as it is 3:30 AM where I am right now. I really appreciate the feedback! Stay tuned and watch out for my feedbacks!

Hey! ^_^ Here are some thoughts I had while going through Muz, The Anomaly.

Lore: I can't judge it fully yet. I'll do another small review once it's all out.

Passive/Heat System: My personal opinion of the heat system is that it's a pretty neat idea but I think it could've been implemented much stronger. The system really only asks as a limit to prevent Muz from spamming attacks which is ok but it could be cool if he was rewarded for maintaining a certain heat level like rumble does. Also how you get rid of heat isn't something you really have to ever worry since you just press E whenever it's up and you're pretty much good and considering it's a 2 second cooldown you really don't have to worry much about heat.

As for the actual AAs it really changes Muz in terms of being an ADC, it gives him insane waveclear and theoretically a ton of AOE damage. On the flip side it makes his single target damage fairly questionable, he's attacking with 90% of his AD and his AAs aren't guaranteed to hit making trading with other ADCs pretty dicey. I would say just make it a normal adc AA, it makes him far too inconsistent.

Right now the heat mechanic is fairly underwhelming and feels like a nerf. It would be cool if Muz is rewarded for managing his heat properly and get a more fun way of getting rid of heat aside pressing E every two seconds.

Q: While not a bad ability it's fairly bland..... There overall isn't much decisions making or play making with the ability, you just press Q while trading and that's it for extra damage and a slow.

E: I like he idea behind it but I don't think a landmine that lasts 30 seconds really works with this champion. The only thing I really like about the mines is throwing them into his black hole but thats fairly inconsistent. I t would be cool to see something that flowed a little better with the rest of the kit.

Finding my way back to this post to see the lore having been added was a delight. You are most certainly right in that he is an anomaly. Apart from the few grammar/spelling mistakes, it was great. Puts some of my own lore writing to shame. That'll just make the lore for the champ I'm working on now much better because I'm going to have to go back and fix it up now. Loved his tie-in with Ekko and the glimpse of Aurelion Sol. Shame there wasn't more of him. I also quite like how you went with how the new lores are setup: 2 parts with the first one in third person and the second a more personal story. The wait, though probably longer than it could have been, was worth it.

By the way, just to tantalize, the champ I'm working on now is essentially the reason why the Freljord is the way it is today. Everything would have been different without him.

First part of the lore has been added. Anyone who can guess what those "monsters" are and whose that champion in the last part? Whose this Grant and where's Muz?

Stay tuned for the second part!

This looks pretty cool, I would love to read Muz's lore. As for abilities, I feel like the ultimate would do magic damage. You've already got hard CC on it and missing health damage. Sort of like Ashe's ulti which scales with AP for damage but is used mostly for what it can do. So change the scaling to AP and increase it some. Just a thought.

As a side note, the portal is very much like my most recent concept's W. It was because of that ability I came to find a bunch of people who commented on having similar abilities. Should anyone like to see: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/PwLE3xaQ-champion-concept-luca-the-light-of-zaun

The AA's also remind of my 3rd concept a little. The targeting paradigm was the same as normal but it would attack in a pass-through skillshot that damaged everything in it's path. I link this one too: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/W8xOkGI5-champion-concept-feliks-the-sentinel-of-the-solari

This seems like an amalgamation of a few bot laners but all mechanical and...spacey. Almost like a bounty hunter in Star Wars.
