New Academy skins don't really look finished?

Am I the only one that thinks the Academy skins look more 8-bit than the Arcade skins? They just look completely unfinished and lazy. Darius, one of my fave champs looks lack luster, as do the other champs. Just feel a lot more work could be put into there aesthetics.
