The blitz arm thing is one of the few universally useful quotes that isn't dependent on skill or user preference. The tooltips become incredibly useless after a while if they dispense only information relevant to gameplay, since not everyone subscribes to the same strategy, nor are they shackled to it. What's true for you won't be for the person sitting next to you.

Useful? No. Universally useless? You betcha. Some tooltips are fine, but this one is highly misleading. The hit box renders the discrepancy in centering irrelevant.

I'm pretty certain the hitbox is still biased to the right, so if you run slightly to his left, you won't get grabbed. I've experienced this first-hand.

if blitz is for example facing north (12 o'clock) and you are positioned to the south (6 o'clock) of him... if you move in a westerly direction (clockwise) it takes longer for blitz to turn and shoot at you than if you move in a easterly (counterclockwise) direction

so for example you are blue, you had a bad engage: ur adc is dead their adc is dead, ur a Sona low on health running to tower from big bad blitz, crossing perpendicular east into his right hand as u move to tower will get u grabbed easier.... crossing perpendicular west so his body has to move to follow u increases the odds of dodging the grab, the angle being larger the further west u are able to move

It's actually a good tip. If you stand on the left side of the wave on red side or on the right side on blue then it's extremely hard for Blitz to pull you. You have to misposistion pretty hard anyway to ever get pulled if he's not in FoW.
