[Champion Concept] Damian Lark, Spirit of the Beastmaster, Marksman/Assassin
Here is Damian Lark, Spirit of the Beastmaster, Marksman/Assassin, (unknown) Son of Udyr.
There was nothing but darkness. He was not even sure if this was because his eyes were closed, or if it was indeed darkness... He tried opening his eyes, but the darkness remained. He tried speaking but nothing came out. He had no sense of feeling either. What was this. Was he dreaming? He tried to think. He tried to remember who he was. He remembered he was in the jungle playing with his friends. He tried to remember the jungle. He tried to remember his friends.
"Damian?" a voice said, coming from the darkness.
He recognized the voice. Although, he had never heard it before. How could he recognize a voice he had never heard? Then he realized something else. The voice had said a name. Damian. That was HIS name. He knew that now. So he was Damian.
"Damian?" the voice said again. A little more urgently.
Damian tried to respond but he couldn't.
"Damian! Damian! You must fight this Damian. You can do this. You were born under the red moon and can fight this death."
Death? Red moon? Damian? Suddenly, Damian remembered everything.
His name was Damian Lark, a fifteen year old orphan, his mother had died giving birth to him under a red moon and his father was unknown. He had been raised by everyone in his village, but as he was born under the red moon, those that helped him, did so with as little input as possible. Giving him food and clothing and sending him on his way to be bothered by someone else. Many believed he should have been taken to the Shamans, but none had the ability or the resources to do so. So he was fed, clothed and sheltered but shunned. So Damian played in the jungle near his village. Soon, he realized, the creatures in the jungle were not frightened of him. He soon realized, that they never showed any signs of aggression towards him either.
One day, when Damian was about 9 years old, he came across a huge gorilla that had its foot caught under a fallen tree. He decided to approach the beast. The gorilla watched him. But he did so with curiosity. He did not even seem alarmed at Damian's presence. Damian moved closer. He expected the beast to swipe at him with his free limbs or to bare his teeth in aggression. The gorilla instead looked at Damian and whimpered and motioned with his free palms that he was stuck. Damian nodded. Damian was only a few inches from the gorillas face when as he softly whispered. "I am going to raise the tree up. You have to move when I do." To his amazement, the gorilla understood and nodded to him. Damian smiled and arduously lifted the tree. When the gorilla was free, Damian dropped the tree, and fell down beside it. The gorilla however, did not run off. He moved towards Damian, and sat down right beside him, and rested his head on Damian's leg. Damian looked down at the huge rescued gorilla that just put his head in his lap, and knew without a doubt. That he was unique. He knew he had some special power, and some special understanding that was his alone. He knew then, that no matter how shunned he was in his village, he would be able to make his own future. That no longer would he need to rely on the charity of those who did not really want to help him. He decided he was going to make himself his own family.
And he did. Over the course of the next year, Damian Lark gathered himself four more animal friends that he called family. A boy, a gorilla, a tiger, a bear, a turtle, and a phoenix. He hunted with, played with, and slept with his family. The six of them never went without.
The last thing Damian remembered before the darkness was that he was in the jungle near his birth village, hunting with his five pets. His five best friends. His family. A family he dreamed would one day be strong enough and great enough, to join the League of Legends. When suddenly, he was pulled through a portal, and then everything went black.
"Damian. You must fight this." The voice said again.
The voice he knew. The voice he had never heard. The voice he knew was the voice that caused the darkness, the portal, his death.
The voice of Lee Sin.
"Damian. You must fight this. You were born under a red moon. You can fight this."
"You killed me though." Damian heard the voice, and realized it was his own. He was astonished he had found his voice.
"I know. And I have regretted it my whole life. But please, listen to me, as I can not maintain this connection much longer. You must fight this, You must fight this death. You were born under a red moon and you can fight this. Listen to me Damian Lark, if you can do this, your dream of you and your family joining the League of Legends can be real. But you must fight this death. You can do it. Please, save both your dream and my atonement , let them soar freely. "
Damian tried to respond but could not. His voice was gone. Lee Sin was gone. He realized too now, that he was dead. Lee Sin had killed him.
Damian played the last words of Lee Sin over and over in his mind.
And with all his might, he shattered the grip of death.
And found himself, his family and his dream.
Disclaimer: I did not come up with the abilities nor did i create the images meant to portray my idea. I came up with the concept or Lore behind the champion only as well as the name.
So basically... the concept behind this character,(Damian Lark, son of Udyr) is that since he was never taken to the shamans, he did not receive the proper training to become a spirit walker like Udyr.
However, because of his unique upbringing, his powers still developed, but through the ability to command the primal beasts, instead of their ancient spirits. His life was taken, however, when Lee Sin tried to perform magic, and summon a beast from the Plague Jungles. Instead, he pulled through Damian Lark, killing him, and obliterating Damian's entire village.
Damian is a Assassin or Marksman, has the EXACT same abilities as Udyr, except he calls the beast instead of taking on the stance. He is ranged unlike melee Udyr. Damian's beast however have an attack range of 600 and are not target-able and the abilities generate off of the beast themselves ((NOT Damian) think Azir
)
As the gorilla part is a passive and can not be summoned, he is always present. And so Damian would ride on his back. Much like Sejuani or Nunu ride. [ https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/a8/9d/ab/a89daba90335a8b5febcd9c5aedd32f0.jpg ]
