New Champion- Apuzah: Zaun's Uncontrolled Shadow (Support)
Apuzah: Zaun's Un-Controlled Shadow Melee Support Health Tank
Before I get into the nitty gritty on Apuzah, I would like to ask that you check out the The Christmas CCOS hosted by The RIver KIng
-Initial Stats and Growing Stats- Health: 600 (+66.5 Per level ) (600-1800) HP/5: 10 (+.8 per level) (10-24) Mana: 200 +(10 Per level) (200-380) MP/5: 6 (+.6 per level) (6-16) Attack Damage: 63 (+3 per level) (63-117) Attack Speed: .637 (+.02 per level) (.637-.997) Armor: 30 (+3 per level) (30-84) Magic Resist: 30 (+3 per level) (30-84)
Abilities:
I go over his abilities three times. I would recommend reviewers for the contest to read the second set, as the other two are more for the every day critique. The first time is a basic synopsis. The second time is a more accurate tooltip, that includes the amount of damage per level upgrade, the accurate cooldown per level, mana per level etc. The third time, is a bit of an explanation for anything I feel may need help explaining (like how much damage the ability is going to do) OR a recommendation of Keystones one might use.
Passive:
Shadow Heal: Out of combat heal that heals himself or bound ally. When healing a bound ally, a portion of the heal is taken as damage to Apuzah.
Q:
**Shadow Ward: ** Cost 35 Mana per ward. Gain a Charge Every 20 seconds
Gain max charges as you level up. Place a ward that stuns all enemy champions upon entering it's sight range, and deals magic damage at the end of the stun. The ward "dies" shortly after an enemy champion is stunned. If no enemies are spotted, the ward lasts as long as a normal sightstone ward.
W:
**Shady Shield: ** Cost: 30-50 Mana Cooldown: 15-10 seconds
Passive: (Once points are put in this ability) attack damage/ability power from runes/masteries/items is reduced and converted to armor/magic resist. Active: Shields himself or any targeted ally, while shield is active, cannot be stunned or slowed.. Shield strength increases based off of his max health, So tank up with health items. When bound ally is nearby, they also receive the shield as well in addition to Apuzah and his targeted ally.
E:
Shadow Sprint: Cost: 35 Mana at all levels Active Cooldown 15 seconds at all levels
Binds himself to a targeted ally for the duration of the game. Activate: Dashes (1-3 times depending on the circumstances) to a target location and grants himself and the nearest ally flat movement speed for a small duration. Movement speed is given to only him if no nearby allies are present. Passive that increases his and his bound allies movement speed. And the movement speed of his other allies for half the same amount. However, Hard CC durations are increased by 50%. Slow durations are decreased by 50% but the amount of the slow is increased by 50%.
R:
Shadow Priest Seminar: Cost: Mana, Initial Health, And additional Health over time. Cooldown: 150-90 seconds
Summons Shadow Priests (1-5: based on the amount of Enemy champion nearby) that sap health from both Him and the nearest enemy champion. Heals bound ally for a portion of the damage dealt.
Lore:
Legend has it Apuzah was once one of the greatest priests of all time. But in a freak accident while trying to save his son from death, he spent all his energy and his fleshly mortal body evaporated into nothing. Leaving behind nothing but his shadow. His shadow now roams to and fro, seeking to help the citizens of Zaun. But beware, anyone who attempts to hurt one of them. For he will stop at nothing to save them including giving up his remaining existence. It was this zeal and loyalty, and his COMBINED skills, even if not unique, that earned him his place on the Rift.
Saving his son "APUZAH!" He had just finished healing his last patient and had left the infirmary, and was about to head home from another long and arduous day at work, when he heard the familiar cry from his wife. "APUZAH!" She cried again. He turned around and saw his wife, looking completely distraught, her hair not even pulled back, as she normally wore it when she was in public. Her face was completely pale. He knew immediately that something was terribly wrong. "What is it, wife?" He asked. "What has happened?" "He's been injured. He's dying!" She sobbed, completely out of breath but finally catching up to him she threw herself into his arms. "Who?" He asked, fearing the worse. He pulled her hair out of her eyes, and could see, the look there, was completely empty. He knew it was his eldest son even before she answered. His arrogant and stubborn son had always leaped before thinking, and was periodically injured. "OUR SON!" she screamed "Take me to him, immediately." He said, sighing. He had known this day would come. She took off at lightening speed as soon as the words left his mouth, he followed her quickly.
Ten minutes later, he found himself in the Sewer district of Zaun. Rubble lay all around and there were several fires, yet to be extinguished. Underneath some concrete, next to one of the main pipelines, there lay his son. His son's left leg was laying beside him, no longer attached. He rushed over to him, and checking his pulse, he found that it was faint, almost non existent. With as much strength as he could muster, He pulled the concrete rubble off his son's body. When he did, he saw several bullet wounds on his sons stomach, and noticed that his son's right arm was missing as well. His son's face was mauled, hardly recognizable. There was blood everywhere. What had caused this, he would have to figure out later. For now, he had to heal his son. He felt the magic bubbling up within, and three minutes later, after finding his son's right arm, he placed the arm and the leg, next to their proper locations, and began releasing his magic into his son.
Once the limbs were reattached, and the blood had stopped flowing from those locations, panting, and quickly losing energy, he began to focus on the bullet wounds. After retrieving the bullets, 18 in total, he used his magic to make sure there was no internal bleeding. There was. He sighed. He didn't think he would have enough energy to heal both the internal and external wounds. "Wife!" He said. His voice was weak. He didn't even recognize it. "What is it Apuzah." "I love you!" He choked. His wife screamed. She knew what he was about to do. Apuzah released his magic once again. A loud ethereal blast echoed through the Sewer District. A light, like Zaun had never seen, covered every nook and cranny. When the light from the blast disappeared, Apuzah was gone. His son coughed and blinked. His wife sobbed. "Mom?" His son said, weakly. "What happened?" His wife screamed, slapped him, and pulled him into her arms. "He's gone! He died saving you, you foolish child." "Father?" Apuzah's sons wail could be heard throughout all of Zaun.
After his death Apuzah watched all of this. But he could not speak in his new form. He could not let them know that he was still with them. Days, Weeks, Months passed. Apuzah followed his son and wife everywhere, silently. Finally, one day, when his wife was sobbing over his absence, he felt the tingling of his magic again. And when she looked up from her sobbing, she screamed. "APUZAH? Is that you?" "You can see me?" He heard his voice! He was shocked, as much as she. "Yes!" "Oh thank the creators of Zaun. I have been following you for months! I thought you would never see me or hear me again" "Apuzah, you are only a shadow. Where is your body?" Apuzah looked down at himself. Indeed, His formerly transparent body, had taken on a shadowy form. "Right now, I don't care. I'm just happy you can see me again." He tried to reach out and touch her, but he couldn't. When their son came home that day, It was a nice happy family reunion. Well, given the circumstances, as nice as it could be.
It took Apuzah several years, but eventually, he learned how to interact with objects and living beings again. And in the final years of his wife's life, He learned to call on his magic again, and was able to grant her an additional 40 years to her life.
Invitation to the Rift He spent decades after her death, wandering the underground streets of Zaun, healing it's inhabitants.
One day, after healing his great grandson, as stubborn and arrogant as his grandfather, he heard the voice of a friend he had made a few years back. Doctor Edmundo. "Apuzah! Mundo has been told Mundo can invite one person to the Rift. Apuzah is Mundo's choice. Only Apuzah is worthy to be Mundo's choice. You saved Mundo from Mundo experiments many times. Mundo want Apuzah to have this honor." And so it was, Apuzah received his invitation to the Rift. He knew that there, he could truly make a difference using his skills and healing those that needed his help the most, the Marksmans. If this invitation was real, He knew he would give everything to protect them, just as he had given everything to protect his son. And just as he would give everything, to protect the citizens of Zaun.

Ties:
Friends: Apuzah considers himself a friend to all the citizens of Zaun, However, he is particularly fond of Dr. Mundo, for unknown reasons. Other than that, he really has no friends. Enemies: Apuzah's enemies are the enemies of Zaun. Period.
**Appearance: **
Literally A shadow. I figured, he should probably look like a priest too, in shadow form. I do not own this image, but it is resembles very closely the image that I have in my head, so I am going to link it anyway. Image that resembles Apuzah in my mind
Dialect:
Ban Dialect: The Shadows retreat, for now. Joke: Don't get cocky. Or you will become a shadow of your former self. Taunt Dialect: You're scared of your own shadow. Joke Response Dialect: I hope my jokes aren't too shady for you. Taunt Response Dialect: That low blow was just not as shady as I am.
**Abilities (an In-Depth Description)**
> ~Now for those of you nerds like me, that care about details, and always know EXACTLY how much damage, heal, etc. you are giving and receiving, here's a more in depth look at his kit.~

> **Passive: Shadow Heal**
> After Leaving combat for more than 3 seconds periodically Heals Himself. This ability occurs to bound ally as well when bound ally is nearby, regardless of whether bound ally is in combat or not, so long as he is not. However, ONLY he or his bound ally can be healed at any given time, and IF Shadow Heal, heals an ally, 10% of the heal given is taken as damage to Apuzah. To keep it in line with the lore, This passive CAN kill Apuzah. IF no enemies have damaged EITHER him or his ally during the KILL timer, this would count as an execution. However, if damage has been taken by him or his ally recently, The enemy champion that LAST dealt damage to them would get the kill.

> heals every 20/15/10/5 sec for 25/50/75/100 (+ 4%/8%/12%/16% (+1% per level)) health. These timers and amounts decrease/increase at ult available levels (6/11/16)

> **First Ability (Q): Shadow Ward **
> 35 Mana cost per ward placed.
> Place a shadow ward that will stun all enemy champions that get within its radius (same radius as a normal ward) for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds (2/2/3/3/4 charges) If an enemy champion is stunned, the ward will self destruct after 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds, otherwise, last as long as a sightstone ward. Once the stun ends, Deals Mage Damage 40/45/50/55/60 (+60% Ability Power and +20% Attack Damage)
> Gain a charge every 20 seconds or gains all charges upon returning to base fountain. After placing a shadow ward must wait ten (10) seconds before placing another.

> **Second Ability (W): Shady Shield**
> Active: 30/35/40/45/50 Mana
> Cooldown: 15/14/12.5/11/10 seconds
> Active: Shields himself and any targeted ally for 50/75/100/125/150hp (+5/7.5/10/12.5/15% of his hp) for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 second or until the shield is consumed, while shield is active, cannot be stunned or slowed. When bound ally is nearby, they also receive the shield as well in addition to Apuzah and his targeted ally.
> Passive: -10/12.5/15/17.5/20% attack damage and ability power reduction. This reduction is instead converted to armor(from attack dmg)/magic resist(from ability power). So for every 100 ad/ap gain 10/12.5/15/17.5/20 armor/magic resist respectively

> **Third Ability (E): Shadow Sprint**
> Cost: 35 Mana at all levels
> Cooldown 15 seconds at all levels
> Active: Binds himself to an ally for the duration of the game.
> Activate: Dashes (same range as flash) to a target location and grants himself and the nearest ally +25/27.5/30/32.5/35 flat movement speed for 3 sec. Movement speed is given to only Apuzah if no allies are nearby. Additionally, If no allies are nearby, the dash can only be cast ONCE. If a non-bound ally is nearby, this ability can be recast ONCE (within 3 seconds) and if his bound ally is nearby it can be recast TWICE (within six seconds). These additional dashes increase the MS duration by three seconds each. When he cast this ability three times the third dash will deal damage to all nearby enemies for 60/70/80/90/100 (+60% AP)

> Passive: Hard cc durations are increased by 50%. Slows effects are increased by 50% and durations are decreased by 50%.
> What this means is a normal 2 sec stun from morgana instead lasts 3 seconds. A slow from  Rylais is increased to 30% but only lasts .5 secs, whereas  FQC would slow for 60% but for only 1-2.5 sec, and a slow from  frozen mallet would be 60% from melee lasting .75 seconds and 45% from ranged lasting .75 seconds

> Passive: When moving towards a bound ally gain 20/21.25/22.5/23.75/25% movement speed. When bound ally is moving towards him, they gain 30/32.5/35/37.5/40% movement speed. This occurs with other allies as well, but the effect is halfed for non bound allies.

> **Fourth Ability Ultimate (R) Shadow Priest Seminar**
> Active: Cost- 45/50/55 Mana + 100/200/300hp initially and then +2%/3%/4% hp every second active.
> Cooldown 150/120/90 Seconds additionally, Cooldown starts on FIRST cast, not on refresh casts.
>
> Summons Shadow Priests (1 for each nearby enemy) that deal 50/75/100hp (+2/3/4% of the targets max hp and 4/6/8% of Apuzah's Current hp) per second while channeling. If the target dies while this is active, the effect is refreshed and the Summoned Shadow Priest(s) will then drain the next nearest enemy champions Hp. This will never reduce him below 100hp. once he has less than 100hp the ult ends. IF this effect refreshes, He takes on cast dmg as well, and has a mana cost of 45-55. If he does not have the mana, it cannot refresh. During cast, he is unable to move, cast other abilities, or auto attack. He can cancel the ability at any time by clicking the ability again or pressing R. The ability will auto recast itself if an enemy dies. Additionally, 5/7.5/10% of all damage taken while he is channeling (damage he deals to himself and damage taken) is transferred as a heal to his bound ally.
> Enemy champions can move outside the range of this ultimate to end (or refresh, if there are other enemy champions nearby) the ult.
> Shadow Priests summoned by Shadow Priest Seminar can not be attacked. Only Apuzah himself can be attacked.

**Unnecessary Information but Definitely worth looking at for better comprehension of his abilities (Also known as, AN EVEN FURTHER Look at his abilities):**
> Passive:
> Example: Lets say he has 1000 hp max at all levels (strictly for Example purposes as) after being out of combat for an intitial 3 secs,
>
> At level 1 he would heal for 75hp every 20 secs,
> At level 6 he would heal for 190hp every 15 secs,
> At level 11 he would heal for 305hp every 10 secs,
> At level 16 he would heal for 420hp every 5 secs.
>
> Obviously he is going to have less than 1000 hp at lvl 1 and more than 1000 hp at higher levels... this example is strictly for mathematical purposes for understanding.
> Also, keep in mind, this passive only procs OUT of combat... And he must have been out of combat for more than 3 seconds.
> Using the Windspeaker Keystone will give your bound ally an additional bonus to their armor and magic resist whenever this heal activates on them.

> Shadow Ward:
>
> Apuzah's Wards deal HARD CC so using the Courage of the Colossus Keystone on him, will give him a shield when these are activated. If you are already anticipating that the ward is about to be activated, this will give you a bit of a buff when engaging on the stunned enemy.
>
> Shady Shield:
>
> This shield makes Apuzah, when used on himself, immune to slows and stuns for the duration of the shield. So if you are are about to be stunned by a Morgana, this would definitely help stop that excessively long stun. Especially since stun durations are increased by 50% on Apuzah.
>
> Shadow Sprint:
>
> Dashing to an ally will grant them two forms of bonus MS, this helps that ally that is about to get slaughtered to make a healthy escape. If Apuzah's bound ally is nearby, Apuzah himself, the bound ally, and the nearest ally will all three get get two forms of bonus MS. This could definitely help catch that enemy champion that almost narrowly escaped with his life. Or help TWO allies run away from what would have been sure death. If no allies are nearby, the dash can only be cast ONCE. If a non-bound ally is nearby, this ability can be recast ONCE and if his bound ally is nearby it can be recast TWICE. Therefore, It is best, when heading into a teamfight already underway, to save this ability, as he gets additional dashes based on whether or not an ally (and which ally: bound or non-bound) is present.
>
> Ultimate:
> A portion of the damage that is dealt from the Ultimate is converted to a heal for his bound ally. So using the Windspeaker Keystone, will additionally grant his bound ally bonus armor and magic resist when they are nearby for his ult.
>
> Damage Explanation: So Lets say He's fighting One enemy champion and uses his ultimate ability. And summons 1 Shadow Priest. Below I will give the dmg taken from the ult by Both Him and the enemy champion at levels 1 and 2. and lets say he has 1000 current AND Max HP. And the Enemy has 1000 max hp.

> This is 1v1 scenario
> Level 1:
> Initial Dmg Taken(On cast)--- Him: 100hp +20hp Enemy Champion: 50hp + 20hp +40hp (upon casting this ability at equal max hp levels does more dmg to him than to them -120 / -110)
> One sec later--- Him 17.6 hp Enemy Champion 50hp + 20hp +35.2hp (One second in, he has now taken a total of 137.6hp dmg from his ult and his enemy has taken 215.2hp dmg)
> Two sec In--- Him 17.2 hp Enemy Champion 50hp + 20hp +34.9hp (Two seconds in, he has now taken a total of 154.8hp dmg from his ult and his enemy has taken 320.1hp dmg)

> Level 2:
> Initial Dmg Taken(On cast)--- Him: 200hp +30hp Enemy Champion: 75hp + 30hp +60hp (upon casting this ability at equal max hp levels does more dmg to him than to them -230 / -165)
> One sec later--- Him 23.1 hp Enemy Champion 75hp + 30hp +46.2hp (One second in, he has now taken a total of 253.1hp dmg from his ult and his enemy has taken 316.2hp dmg)
> Two sec In--- Him 22.4 hp Enemy Champion 75hp + 30hp +44.8hp (Two seconds in, he has now taken a total of 275.5hp dmg from his ult and his enemy has taken 466hp dmg)

> Lets take the same information but instead its a 2v2 or 2v1 scenario, so that he is summoning two Shadow Priests instead of 1 and we will do all 3 ult levels....
> Level 1:
> Initial Dmg Taken(On cast)--- Him: 100hp +20hp Enemy Champion: 2x(50hp + 20hp +40hp) (On cast he takes 120hp dmg and the nearest enemy champion takes 220dmg)
> One sec later--- Him 17.6 hp Enemy Champion 2x(50hp + 20hp +35.2hp) (One second in, he has now taken a total of 137.6hp dmg from his ult and his enemy has taken 430.4hp dmg)

> I have done the math, and It is entirely possible, under the correct circumstances, for Apuzah to get a pentakill.
> Example: If his team is doing baron, and he has built the appropriate amount of health items, and all five enemy champions decide to invade, and for whatever reason, none of the enemy champions deal damage to Apuzah directly, it is entirely possible for him to get a pentakill while stopping the invade, through his ult alone, without any of his teammates dealing damage to enemy champions. HOWEVER, this is assuming, that none of the enemy champions target him while he is doing so, and instead choose to focus his allies.
> Assuming his team gets the baron and all four survive the onslaught invade, and no one attacks him directly, he could not only stop the invade, but could completely change the game with a level 3 ult.
