[Item} An AP version of QSS

Concept:

Right now item 3139 is more or less unique to AD and tank scaling champions since it does nothing to help an AP champion. Normally, item 3157 is its equivalent, but they function differently. item 3156 is also focuses around an AD heavy or tanky/ bruiser build style.

How about an AP item that gives:

  • cost: 3700g
  • 80 AP
  • 35 armor
  • UNIQUE Passive: +10% Spell Vamp
  • UNIQUE Active - Quicksilver: Removes all defuffs and also grants +50% bonus movement speed for 1 second (90 second cooldown).
  • Built from item 3140 and item 3145 and item 1052 and 765g.

Also, for this to be fair and balanced, maybe make item 3140 now only give 20 magic resist instead of 35 but provide 20 armor as well and depending on the final build path the armor or magic resist will be lost.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

**Reasoning: **

AP champions normally carry the hard cc where as AD usually has the soft cc, but it is much harder to survive as an AP champion since currently item 3157 is the only counter to cc and/or burst proc (like Zeds ult) unless you sacrifice your build to item 3139 or item 3222 . But item 3157 just leaves you vulnerable once it is over. item 3139 allows for potential to save yourself when you get hard CC'd, either if you get focused or caught out of position where your team cant save you. item 3157 is more for offensive purposes as well, just like item 3156 is for AD champions.

With the new assassin item (specifically the nightfall passive) coming out soon, AP squishy champions will be left with little to counteract the passive. Mid will become the AD melee lane because Zed and Yasuo and Talon will become the meta (even more than they are now).

I was actually considering this the other day. QSS only upgrades into one item and that seems oddly restrictive. I do imagine that the thought is that Hourglass serves the same purpose for AP champions. Perhaps this is entirely intentional though as they want to ensure that AP Assassins don't have an easier out that they already have. Imagine someone like Akali with an Hourglass and an upgraded QSS and it's not difficult to imagine it might be a little too strong.

To be fair, Zhonya's is more than enough to make up for not having a QSS. QSS is for easily burstable close-ranged AD champions. Zhonya's is for the backline mages when they get caught in the front lines. I honestly don't think that one of them needs to have double the items, especially when, if they really need it, mages can still get the 1300 gold QSS.

How about one for tanks? You know, so we can have something to deal with Fiora and Malzahar. It's not like we enjoy getting deleted.
