This is sort of a follow up to my thread that Riot Meddlar and Stashu had discussed with me a few weeks ago that was discussing a Talon rework. Below is my ideas and ability descriptions for Feng, the new ninja themed AD assassin mid lane champion( other names thought of are Raiden or Jiro, community can decide through votes, I prefer Feng, then Raiden 2nd, and Jiro 3rd). Going to refer to him as Feng below. Also I was stuck between putting this in gameplay or concepts and creations, considering this is related and a follow up to my previous Talon rework post which was in gameplay, and I go into a decent amount of elaboration in this thread for Feng's gameplay at the very bottom of the post(most important part to read is the ability descriptions though, and the section below that puts it into more perspective as well as why I decided to make this thread). I am interested to hear from other players feedback, not just from riot, and am curious to see what others think about the new champion I designed.

Even though this is an idea for a new champion, this is also has some similarity to a previous thread I made discussing a rework for Talon a few weeks ago(has major differences to that post though), but instead this has a few key changes suited for a new assassin. For those who read my thread before on a Talon rework, in comparison to that one this thread here is definitely more well thought out, and improves on mistakes I made with abilities and how balanced the champion would be, in addition to making this thread more concise than the one I did with Talon. This is also something I hope might get the attention from Riot. Riot Stashu had already replied to me on why the update I was thinking of on Talon would not have gotten a lot of approval from the other players who enjoy the current Talon, so hopefully this new design for a new champion might be more reasonable and interesting for the guys at Riot who work on adding and balancing new champions. The riot members already put a decent amount of time accommodating my first thread on a Talon remake, so I understand if they don't spare time for looking into this one; however in case you guys from riot are reading this, I am fairly certain this is the last request I will make towards a champion with this being a new champion rather than a update to Talon that was not going to work out. I hope you at least find it interesting even if it isn't going to be implemented into the game. I put a lot of time into shifting it from being solely for Talon, and instead towards the new champion Feng, in addition to constructing this fairly long post.

Also this type of champion is likely going to be very popular considering Feng has that anime and mainstream ninja vibe that certain popular champions have as far as anime pop culture with various warriors, and other related action/fighting concepts is concerned (Yasuo, Zed, Yi, Kayn, Lee)... and will very likely increase the games popularity, in addition to increasing profit.

If you think this is to long and don't want to read, there are basically four parts, 1 Lore and Appearance, 2 the Ability Section, 3 my reasons for making the champion this way, and 4 edits I made to the thread. Reading just the ability section should suffice but you get a better understanding of the champion, and why I decided to make the champion if you read further.

#1. Feng, Lore and Appearance:

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2e/Diagram_of_umbra%2C_penumbra_%26_antumbra.png

Appearance:

The above Image of penumbra and antumbra and the symbols of the two different sects, with antumbra in particular being a dark circle within a larger lightly colored white or yellow circle. He would have the antumbra symbol somewhere on his shirt.

Also with regard to his appearance, in the image above showing Itachi Uchiha, first 3 images from left to right, and Ryu Hayabusa, 2 images after that, I included Itachi Uchiha from the anime Naruto and Ryu Hayabusa from the game Ninja Gaidan to imply that I would like the champion to look like as well as have a backstory that is somewhat similar to those two characters and to be somewhat inspired by them, although I made an original lore for Feng below which gives an idea of what I wanted it to be like. I put Ryu there to give as another representation of what he might look like particularly as a potential skin design; however I must put emphasis that I definitely prefer him having closer similarities in appearance and outfit and theme with Itachi.

Lore:

In an undiscovered remote region within Demacia's borders dwells a sect of elite warriors called the Radiantpenumbra Sect, as their goal was to bring benevolence towards the poor and needy through assassinations and secretive mercenary work funded by the greedy rich people who have power over the lands, ultimately using those rich individuals as pawns to further their goals and ending them if they step too far out of line.

When Feng was only a boy at the age of 5 in Noxus, he witnessed his parents being killed by high ranking soldier's who demanded they give them all of their money after his parents had accidentally bumped into them while in a crowded market place. In response Feng quickly and angrily attacked them for killing his parents but was easily shrugged off and thrown to the ground. When the soldier's were about to kill him too, they were instantly slain by a man concealed in a hooded cloak. The man quickly picked up the boy and escaped with him as he heard more soldiers approaching the way. He apologized to the boy saying those two men were his assassination targets as they were corrupt soldiers who were out of control and had orders to kill them, and wish he was there sooner so his parents would still be alive. He took the boy to an orphanage and gave him a choice, he can stay here and be fairly well taken care of, or he can go with the man by joining his sect and undergoing arduous training, and if successful, would turn him into a warrior like himself that protects the weak and fights for justice. In tears from missing his parents and with a hardened resolve to protect innocent people from those who are evil and abuse their power, he decided to go with the man who would become his master and undergo his training. Thus began Feng's journey.

Despite not being the leader of the sect and upon just turning 22 of age, Feng was by far the most capable warrior of the secluded group of warriors that dwell in an extremely isolated, and unexplored part of Demacia. His skills of the Ninjato blade, Kunai, and his unparalleled speed in combat in which against certain opponents he can constantly keep himself in their blind spot from swift movement, were hailed as the greatest of any of the previous legendary warriors that came before him in the sect. His dedication to improving himself and adhering to the code of the sect were an inspiration to many of the young followers of the group that were still in training and yet to achieve mastery; however many of the more experienced members, and especially the elders, had a hidden resentment of his unprecedented incredible abilities and dedication at such a young age, especially because Feng could often see threw the hidden agendas of some of the more experienced members, who were increasingly showing signs of corruption and bending the rules of the sect. This frequent negative trend was slowly lowering Feng's faith in the leadership of the Sect, and was resulting in a growing tension of those who believed Feng should be the leader, over the members who believed in the current more experienced leaders.

These warriors of the secret society frequently took on various high profile assassinations and mercenary work of the utmost secrecy for a very few wealthy and privileged individuals who they made themselves known to. They chose who to work for as well as what jobs to take depending on what would help shape society to help better the lives of the poor and less fortunate as well making frequent anonymous and generation donations to charities and organizations committed to helping the poor and less fortunate, unbeknownst to their rich and greedy employers. They gave the impression that their employers were the boss, yet in reality were expertly manipulating most of their greedy employers as they would puppets who they killed depending on if they stepped too far out of line according to their own code that they abide by or they simply outgrew their usefulness. The sect could be thought of as a more organized and successful version of warriors who share the idea of Robin Hood, stealing from the wealthy and giving to the poor and less fortunate, but in a much more secretive and covert fashion.

One day near their remote and secluded headquarters within Demacia, a large and fierce battle between Demacia and Noxus had finally crossed over onto their land, in which the sect warriors had no choice but to intervene.

Despite their numbers being less than half of either Demacia or Noxus, Feng along with his other comrades ended the 3 way battle convincingly with few casualties on their side, in which Noxus and Demacia were forced to retreat, but unfortunately they made themselves known to Demacia and Noxus for their exceptional prowess in battle. Even though all the warriors of the sect were acknowledged as formidable, Feng was of a higher class amongst the others, and was the only member of the sect in that battle whose skills instilled significant despair and panic resulting in most who attacked him ending up desperately attempting to flee within a few seconds, as he seemed inhuman as a swift ghost killing anyone who drew near while also being untouchable and imperceptible in the process. Despite Feng killing more soldiers than any of the sect members, the large majority of those who attacked him had instead chose to surrender and run away with Feng showing mercy to those who chose to stop fighting upon realizing they had no chance of defeating him, with many yelling out of fear calling him a monster as they fled.

Since that was the last remote place in which the Radiantpenumbra Sect were willing to reside in secrecy, they were forced to have future diplomatic talks regarding joining Demacia to remain within the lands they are most familiar, or join Noxus whose ideology and way of life would allow them the most freedom to pursue their own code and philosophy. Before they set out to talk with the leaders of Demacia or Noxus, as the decision was being made amongst the members of the sect in an open field in their sect domain, far away from the people of Demacia and Noxus; the large majority of the sect ultimately voted to become high ranking soldiers for Demacia, under the condition to being able to remain in their lands, despite Feng's attempts in trying to persuade his allies to not joining either side and in remaining independent and attempting to continue their way of life elsewhere in their surreptitious approach to forming a better society for the poor and less fortunate within the shadows.

Upon almost everyone in the group ultimately deciding to side with Demacia, aside from Feng himself, his master, a few of his close friends, and a few youngsters in training who look up to Feng, in addition to also being insulted by Radiantpenumbra Sect's leader, who has been leading the sect for 24 years, by accusing Feng for having an inability to adapt and to exploit this new situation and to let go of former traditions, in reaction to all of this Feng angrily renounced all of the sect members who disagreed with him and made their decision that goes against the sect's morals that Feng abides by strictly, and decided to continue his work in isolation while forming his own faction and changing his Sect's name from Radiantpenumbra Sect to Radiantantumbra Sect with the very few members who agreed to join him.

Upon making this declaration and beginning to leave the sect grounds with the few who decided to follow him, he warns his former allies that death awaits any of them that become enemies of his new Radiantantumbra Sect's work, branding them all as cowards and traitors that are taking the easier path, and being influenced by their greed and by the whims of other nations, rather than the righteous one in which the Sect code is absolute. Upon hearing of this 9 high ranking opposing members, including the sect leader, attacked Feng while he was walking away with his back turned, in which Feng quickly dodged right before their attacks landed, and within 10 seconds, all who attacked him were killed with very few of the sect able to even perceive his movements.

Feng gave the hundreds of other Sect members witnessing this that did not join him an icy glare, saying, "the only reason you are all still alive, is because you have not completely turned your back on the Sect code and it's morals, and I have hope you will redeem yourselves in the future despite your discouragable allegiance to Demacia; however should you become truly corrupt and evil as our former leader has along with the rest who lay dead on the ground beside him, you will also share the same fate." After saying this Feng leaves with the few 35 other members who decided to join his new Sect, with much hope from the future now that he will be leading his new sect along the right path towards the true ideals of their code, and his efforts will no longer be hindered by the past corrupt leaders. He walks away with a smile, full of confidence in what he is truly fighting for, by fighting to create a more just world.

Explanation of Sect Name: The sect name being Radiantantumbra, radiant meaning showing rays of light or basically symbolizing goodness and being just, while penumbra and antumbra relating to shadows, and how they deal with light and shadow and how it looks with an eclipse in relation to the Earth. Showing partial light behind the darkness, is meant to symbolize the sect ultimately doing just things, despite it being done covertly and through assassinations of targets they believe are truly evil and corrupt. The change to antumbra is supposed to symbolize more of a complete light in the shadow rather than partial, to represent without flaws in morality and being just, which is what Feng is striving towards by altering the name of the sect slightly. The Radiantpenumbra symbol would be a lightly colored crescent moon shape at the top of an actual black colored circle, with the Radiantantumbra symbol, Feng's new sect after leaving, being a dark circle within a larger lightly colored circle that is symmetrical and is a more balanced symbol as the image above shows, although the dark circle would be more centered within the larger light one behind it compared to the above image.

#2. Feng, thorough description of Champion:

                                                                                              # **Feng, mid lane AD assassin:**

#Stats:

Health 590 – 2150

Health regen 8 – 20

Mana 390 – 1100

Mana regen 7.5 – 21.5

Range 125

Attack damage 67 – 121

Attack speed 0.693 (+ 0 – 59.4%)

Armor 32 – 90

Magic resist. 32.1 – 53.4

Move. speed 355

#P - Keen Eyes:

After Feng loses sight of an enemy, such as them going into brush, or going past a wall or terrain where there is no vision of, or if an enemy uses invisibility or stealth, he can then see the outline of them for the next 1.5 seconds if he is within a 1100 unit radius of them(similar to using oracle alteration on someone who goes invisible but with less of a delay in showing where the champion is). Feng is also able to sense units he had no prior vision of, and will notice the outline of the enemy champion for .5 seconds within a 900 range radius, but it only activates after the enemy champion has stayed within that range of Feng for .5 seconds.

Per-Target Static Cooldown: 10 / 6 / 4(levels 1, 8, and 13)

Edit: I am not making this change as it might be too good of a buff, but I still am going to put it here at the chance if this champion was made Riot thinks this improvement to his passive is fine. Cooldown increases to 15/10/4(levels 1, 8 , and 13), and after losing sight of an enemy radius is instead 1500 range, and same 1500 range for sensing someone had no prior vision of and it lasts for 1 second instead of .5 seconds.

#**Q - Nimble Slash: **

Feng quickly dashes to his target dealing physial damage with his ninjato sword and increasing Fengs armor penatration on that target over time. Feng is untargetable during the dash, and until the damage is dealt to the target.

Range: 400, Speed: 1200, Cost: 40 Mana

Cooldown: 11 / 9 /7 / 6 / 5

40/60/75/90/105(+120% bonus AD), with damage increasing based on their missing health by 0-100% based on target's health being 100%-30%. Damage on target at 30% health or below is 210(240% bonus AD) at max rank.

  • Feng is untargetable during the dash, and until the damage is dealt to the target.

  • Killing an enemy champion with Nimble Slash reduces the cooldown by 1 second and heals for 15% of Fengs missing health

  • Passive - Hitting an enemy champion with Nimble Slash marks the target and increases Fengs total armor penetration on that target by 2 %/ 4 %/ 6 %/ 8 %/ 10% per second for 5 seconds, stacking up to 3 times(max 30%). Dealing damage to the target refreshes the duration.

  • Nimble Slash resets Fengs auto attack timer

#W - Keen Blade:

Feng throws a blade, that looks like a big kunai or small dagger, in the target direction damaging all enemies it hits. After using the ability a blade is left on the ground at the end(blades also left on the ground when he uses his ultimate , details in that section below).

Range: 1000, Speed: 2400, Width of hit box: 60% of the champion Brand's Q hit box

Cost: 60 / 50 / 30 / 10 / 5 Mana, Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7/ 5/ 4

90/115/130/140/150 (+140% bonus AD), 70% damage to units beyond the first

Increases movement Speed when picking up a blade by 10%/12%/14%/18%/25% multiplicative movement speed for 2 seconds and Feng becomes Ghosted

Range needed to run over and pick up a blade is his melee range at 125. Blades on the ground won't converge closer than 50 range and will gravitate towards the nearest empty space if landing on top of one another

  • Keen Focus Passive: upon getting a takedown, Keen Focus activates in which Feng can ignore the cooldown of Keen Blade by consuming Keen Blade Stacks. Takedowns grant 1 stack, and Feng gets 1 stack for every Blade he picks up from the ground during Keen Focus
  • If W is on a cooldown then picking up a blade will reset the cooldown,

  • Keen Focus Passive and the Keen Blade stacks last for 10 seconds and refreshes from further takedowns

  • Blades will linger on the ground for 10 seconds before disappearing

  • The most stacks Feng can get at once is 5, upon reaching 5 stacks he can't pick up Blades when going near them just like if his W was off cooldown without Keen Focus being activated, and will have to use stacks in order to pick up other Blades on the ground

  • Example for how stacks are used, if have 1 stack then using W once will consume the stack, then after it can be used a second time which will bring W on cooldown, e.g. if have 5 stacks then W can be cast 6 times repeatedly before it goes on cooldown

  • Each time Keen Blade is used within 2 seconds the damage decreases, 1st to 90%, then 80% and staying at that point until either wait 2 seconds before using W or upon getting a takedown

  • Feng can't pick up a blade if w isn't already on cooldown unless he has Keen Focus active so that it will turn into a stack

#E - Shadow Surge:

Feng dashes quickly in the target direction.

Range: 400, Speed: 2500, Cooldown: 35 / 30 / 25 / 20 / 15

  • gains 10% - 30%(based on level, 1-13) multiplicative movement speed for 1 second and ghosts him after the dash

  • Feng can cancel the dash within the first 2/3 of his dash range

  • Hitting a target with Keen Blades resets cooldown of E to 11 - 2 seconds (based on level 1-13)

  • Takedowns reset the cooldown of his dash and gives him a stack of dash in which he can use two dashes consecutively. Stacks of Dash last 10 seconds and is limited to 1 stack, in which Feng can do 2 dashes consecutively.

  • When out of combat the cooldown of his dash goes down twice as fast

#R - Blade Storm:

Feng instantly throws a torrent of Keen Blades dealing damage to enemies in a wide oval like cone while also creating a perimeter of 10 blades in the area with a second perimeter of the same shape within that having 10 also for a total of 20 blades.

Effect Radius: 1100 range in length, 900 range at widest point near the end of the range, and the shape is more of an oval and less of a cone(basically close to double the width of mf ult at widest point, but less of a reach at 1100)

Speed: 2400

Cost: 100 Mana

Cooldown: 80 / 60 / 40

140 / 210 / 250 (+ 160% bonus AD)

  • Enemies hit are slowed by 50% for 1 second

  • Feng gains 90% multiplicative movement speed for 1.5 seconds after he has finished casting his ult

  • Within the next 3 seconds after using his ult, using his E Shadow Surge will make him invisible for 1 second at the end of the dash

Edits:

  • The cast time of his ult is half of a second, but the blades instantly start moving in the target area as soon as he uses his ult

  • Has a similarity to the first wave of Miss Fortunes ult, being that it has a speed towards where the Kunai is going, and can be avoided if you get out of the area of the wave before it hits you.

  • The diagram below represents the diamond/oval like perimeter of the hit box. The Capitalized circle at the left most part represents Feng, and the 20 lowercase circles represent where the blades will land that can be picked up after using his ult:

--------------------------------------------------o --------------------------------------------------------o------------------------o -------------------------------o--------------o-----------------------------o ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------o---------------o O(Feng) o--------------------------o----------------------------o---------------------------------o ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------o---------------o --------------------------------o-------------o-----------------------------o --------------------------------------------------------o------------------------o -------------------------------------------------o

#R - Big edit:

#R - Blade Storm version 2, 2nd option for Blade Storm concept for his ultimate, this one is a bit more unique:

In response to receiving a comment that his ult is similar to Irelia's(although still notable differences) and in an attempt to make him more unique, I made another potential version of what his ult would be. Emphasizing this is a 2nd concept for his ult, and would end up being either this one or the first one I thought of if he is put in game. I like both versions but am leaning slightly towards this new one.

This new ult is upon using his ult he throws out 1 torrent of 6 blades and for the next 6 seconds he has 3 barrages in which he can again throw out 6 blades in multiple directions simultaneously dealing 60 (+ 70% bonus AD) damage from each barrage, total 240(+280% bonus AD) with 24 blades thrown total with a 1 second cooldown between barrages affected by cooldown reduction, and also leaves blades on the ground to be picked up where they land.

Speed: 2400

Range: 1200 length, width at widest point in oval shape 400

Cost: 100 Mana

Cooldown: 80 / 60 / 40

30/50/60 (+ 70% bonus AD) damage from each cast, 120 / 200 / 240 (+ 280% bonus AD) total damage

  • Hitbox is still oval/diamond shaped.

  • Goes on cooldown after last wave of blades is thrown or after 6 seconds transpires after first wave is thrown.

  • cast time is same as W cast time

  • 1 second cooldown between waves, affected by cooldown reduction

  • Feng gains 90% multiplicative movement speed for 1.5 seconds after he has finished casting his ult

  • Within the next 3 seconds after using his ult, using his E Shadow Surge will make him invisible for 1 second at the end of the dash

  • New ult animation, would be 4 iterations of below since it can be used 4 times in 1 second intervals:

-----------------------------------o -----------------------------------------------------------o O(Feng) -------------------------------------o-------------------------------------------------o -----------------------------------------------------------o -----------------------------------o

  • Example of what would look like on ground if Feng used ult one by one while moving forward slightly each time between casts:

-----------------------------------o---o---o---o -----------------------------------------------------------o---o---o---o O(Feng) -------------------------------------o---o---o---o--------------------------------------o---o---o---o -----------------------------------------------------------o---o---o---o -----------------------------------o---o---o---o

#3. Clarification

Below is just me giving thoughts on my motivation on why I did this, and my thoughts and analysis of the new champion Feng that I thought of. You can skip this if you are short on time, but it is still significant to this thread on Feng, and understanding why I have him designed in this way.

Basically after Riot Stashu saw what I wrote and then replied back to the Talon update thread I made, he had expressed that the changes I suggested to Talon would take him away from what players generally wanted the most from him being his high burst damage. My idea was me taking away some of Talon's high burst damage and giving him increased mobility in addition to a dash mechanic and an emphasis on landing skill shots to do well in fights. Since my idea was rejected for Talon, I wanted to present it again with a few differences since it would be on a new champion, rather than meshing it with Talons kit.

As for myself, despite Talon being my main and favorite champion by far with almost 700,000 pts in him after playing league for almost 3 years, I dislike playing him the traditional meta way ever since he got changed with the assassin update. I take ghost instead of ignite, and use the runes Phase Rush(old stormraiders) instead of electrocute, and a slightly different build after the common core items, and my playstyle is more of being an opportunist in helping other lanes while having good map awarenes and being in the right place at the right time to get ahead and start my snowball(unless the enemy mid laner actually makes big mistakes and I end up killing him often 1v1 despite having no electrocute and ignite, thus I just focus a bit more on winning lane). Despite climbing from silver 4 (was silver 4 or 3, forget exactly which one) and being gold 4 currently and my winrate with him is 51% after playing 350 games this season, even though I like my playstyle and it being fun while ahead is more enjoyable and is easier to close out games than being ahead with ignite and electrocute, it's drawbacks is my playstyle suffers too much if I don't start my snowball and get ahead. In short, despite it being much more fun being ahead and being able to close out a game easier if I am ahead with my playstyle on Talon, because my damage is decent if I am ahead, and I have more mobility and slow resistance from ghost and phase dash in fights thus I am more effective in fights since the damage is already there while having ignite and electrocute would be overkill and not necessary when I am ahead; however despite that the playstyle I enjoy is simply too inconsistent in actually getting ahead enough to close out a game and end before late game.

Thus I likely won't be playing Talon much anymore or at all in ranked as a result. Ignite and electrocute with the traditional build is just not satisfying as far as the gameplay for me even though it's effectiveness is more likely to result in a win; unfortunately my preferred playstyle is simply not as reliable to secure a win if I am even in gold and level and must be fairly ahead to carry well. So that is the other part of the reason why I thought of this idea as none of the other assassin champions interest me more than Talon does, but I would definitely enjoy playing as Feng more than any other champion if they created him.

That being said, Feng would be an AD mid lane ninja themed assassin, that would give off that anime/videogame ninja vibe so to speak. It would be cool if how the characters appearance and abilities looked alluded to certain ninja characters that are like Itachi Uchiha from the anime Naruto(his look when he was with the Anbu in Konoha or when he joined Akatsuki) or Ryu Hayabusa from the game Ninja Gaiden. So basically as far as how his overall appearance and abilities will be like, to be something similar to those two guys. His weapon when he is auto attacking and using his Q ability would be a ninjato sword which is similar to how shen's sword looks, and his W would have the look of a kunai or some sort of small looking dagger or blade that is thrown, while his ult would have him throwing many of them in an instant.

As an assassin his burst damage, especially his early game burst damage, and ability to one shot squishies quickly would be somewhat lacking compared to the other assassins; however in return he has the potential to be the overall fastest and most mobile assassin while fighting compared to the others as well as being able to do an overall decent amount of damage throughout the duration of a teamfight. Even though his initial burst will still be less than the other assassins, he would still have a potential to overall outdamage those other assassins in certain fights. During fights he would have a decent reliance on positioning well, landing skill shots, and with having good actions per minute and good and quick decision making to really excel with him in fights and to do decent damage; furthermore in addition to having certain cooldown reset mechanics on his abilities, with part of it being caused by takedowns, which will also increase his ability to do more damage in a fight depending on how it develops, similar to how Katerina, Yi, and Darius benefit from doing well in particularly a big teamfight

For Feng, he lacks strong burst damage until mid and late game, with his potential damage being mostly influential in a teamfight after a takedown occurs, and as a result is generally less able to quickly one shot people compared to the other assassins and is less good at securing kills, especially early game. That being said, he makes up for this for being overall good mid and late game by having high mobility, a decent skirmishing ability for getting people low with his W, and an ult that helps create a zone of pressure on an enemy in which Feng becomes a serious threat if he is able to get a takedown before the 20 blades left on the ground from his ult expire.

His speed and potential intricacy of plays and with his potential overall damage and burst damage if he lands all his skill shots after a takedown is what will make him excel in fights, and will be rewarding for players who are good at making strategic and quick decisions with good actions per minute in fights because of the champions dependency on landing skill shots, while having good positioning, zoning, movement, and reactions in addition to deciding for the crucial moment to kill someone as an assassin that is lacking in quick burst damage compared to the others, yet getting kills will generally be more difficult but afterwards it has a good chance of being more rewarding.

Even though I think it would be a challenge to make a champion like this, aside from myself I believe there would be many others who would enjoy the gameplay Feng provides as a new AD mid assassin to the game, and I would gladly spend money on that champion despite having more than enough blue essence for it, plus buying the new skin simply out of gratitude for Riot creating the champion I requested. On a side note I still have over 20$ unused RP combined on my main account, and on my smurf simply because there isn't much other content that appeals to me at the moment to spend it on. Regardless, I don't regret having paid for a bit more RP than I was going to use currently, simply because this is a great game I enjoy playing often; however I will definitely enjoy it a lot more if you make Feng. #4. EDITS:

**1st Edit **- Made an edit to his ult that gives an idea of the shape and hitbox of his ult in addition to how the 20 blades look on the ground after. Also clarifying that the cast time of his ult is half of a second, and it has a similarity to the first wave of Miss Fortunes ult, being that it has a speed towards where the Kunai is going, and can be avoided if you get out of the area of the wave before it hits you.

The diagram below represents the diamond/oval like perimeter of the hit box.

**2nd edit - ** This is the first change to his abilities. For Feng's Q, I removed Feng being untargetable for .5 seconds after him dealing damage with this ability; however instead Feng now becomes unstoppable during the cast time of his Q and until the damage is dealt to the target. I made this change because untargetability would be giving him way too much safety when trying to kill a target, while being unstoppable makes him have more reliability in getting close to a target. This change also fits more with the name "Nimble Slash" which suggests more of not being stopped during the dash by avoiding the movement restricting elements of abilities( but still taking the damage), rather than after the dash gaining untargetablity. I will update the abilities section to include this change.

**3rd edit - **

  • This is the 2nd change I have made to his abilities since the post. If this is your first time reading this thread then you can skip this since I already edited in the changes in the ability section above; however read if you want to understand why I made them.

  • W : Nerfing his W by making it more difficult to land his skill shot by lowering the width of the hitbox, the current size is compared to the size of 90% of the champion Brand's Q, and would lower it to 60%, and so it would increase the difficulty to hit multiple targets and having less potential to do good area damage unless they are lined up really close, but in return increasing the ability speed from 2200 to 2400 so that it is only slightly more difficult to hit the intended target since the hit box is less, also as far as how the ability looks the decrease in the blades size would make it look more like a kunai

  • Q : Buffing his Q because even though I thought about this quite a lot before and had changed his Q from having untargetablility to instead being unstoppable, I still have a preference of wanting him to have some kind of untargetabiity associated with his Q so I am changing it back with a slight difference. Before he was untargetable after the damage was dealt for .5 seconds, but instead I want to make him so that right when he uses his Q he becomes untargetable instead until the damage is dealt, so it will essentially always be less than .5 seconds with being untargetable the least amount of time when using it in melee range. This might be okay considering he has a very small window of untargetability which is lower the closer he is to his target

  • R : Slight edits to wording and clarifying: I wrote that Feng gains 90% multiplicative movement speed for 1.5 seconds, I meant to say specifically after he finishes using his ult, since his ult takes .5 seconds to finish casting it would only end up being 1 second if it isn't after it is over. Also, Even though the cast time is .5 seconds, the actual wave of all of the blades heading to the target area starts instantly as soon as the player uses his ult and there is no delay towards that, only that Feng will not be able to move for the next half of a second.

  • P: Potential buff to his Passive, not sure - This is a buff to his passive I would like to make, but I think might be too much, and will leave this up to Riot if I am lucky enough that they make Feng, because even though I want to make this change it might be too good on him and I am not sure, thus I am NOT including this to the above ability changes. I want to increase the range of his passive for sensing people and in return increase the cooldown in the earlier levels but keeping the current cooldown at the max level it is at now, per target cooldown instead of 10/6/4 would be 15/10/4, and if losing sight of someone it would change from a radius of 1100 range to 1500 range for seeing the outline. Same new range for sensing someone with no prior vision increasing from 900 range to 1500 range radius but instead of the outline lasting for .5 seconds it would last for 1 second.

#4th edit:

#- I Created a Lore and Appearance for Feng. It is now the first section, with there now being 4 sections in the thread.

#- 2nd option as a concept for his ultimate, this one is a bit more unique:

#- I added a TLDR part at the end of the thread to help direct people to the most important part of the thread, being the champions abilities in section 2

**5th edit - **

Made a slight change to the last paragraph on his lore before the one describing the sect, since I was not aware of a change made to the League Of Legends current lore.

#TLDR: [zombie-brand-mindblown]

If this is too long and you don't want to read, there are basically four parts that I distinctly separated the thread into, 1 Lore and Appearance, 2 the Ability Section, 3 my reasons for making the champion Feng this way, and 4 edits I made to the thread. Reading just the 2nd section showing ability descriptions should suffice, but you get a better understanding of the champion, and why I decided to make the champion if you read further. The most important part to the thread is the 2nd section that is just about Feng's stats and abilities, and it should not take more than 10 minutes to get a good grasp of what the champion does. in this day and age A ninja in Lol needs more than just the theme of ninja to be successful...also - 2 dashes? y?

also every ninja in the game so far uses a different weapon, so to increase his uniqueness, u should pick a different weapon i think this will help u think creatively for new skills and a secondary theme

Returning a Review.

I voted for Feng. Its a simple name that can be said quickly and is easily remembered. The theme and overall play-style feels like a very nimble and damage dealing (Talon feels very clunky due to his changes). I'm not the best when it comes to numbers and stats for concepts so forgive my review in that part.

Passive: I really like this one. It sets up the champion for real teamwork over voice chat. As, I assume, only Feng can see the outlines (like RekSai sonar pulse) it can help to hunt down or prevent ambush if the enemy is within range.

Q: Whenever I hear "Untargetable" I get worried. Is this Yi style untargetable where he becomes invulnerable to dmg or just unable to be targeted during this time? It gives the champion a safety net that prevents counterplay in my opinion. (Im not a pro player by any stretch and this my just be my inner noob talking) The synergy with the other abilities grants a lot of movement and mobility I feel that becoming untargetable is there simply to ensure that you do finish the dash.

W: The term Ghosted. Is that ignoring unit collision? I like to see abilites like this that get the player moving about the battle field rather than just sitting and aa the enemy. If Ghosted is ignoring unit collision then cool! If it is becoming "partially invisible", eeh maybe. If it is becoming real invisible, not a fan. Unless the character has some kind of magic or smokescreen in there theme.

E: A lot of mobility here. Can this dash clear terrain? If yes there is a lot of roaming potential here. I'm not sure how long 400 range is, but I'd assume that's enough to clear the smaller walls? If Shadow surge cannot clear terrain however you still have the stacks for multiple dashes.

R: I see the term Invisibility here and I'm okay with this. The synergy with E and W better. This ult is to enable Feng to express his full potential. Would the blades from R last longer than the standard W blades?

SOOOO that was some GREAT lore and because Feng isn't from Ionia and is within a faction that has thier own land within Demacian lands that I think that FIRMLY gives him a right to be counted as a legend since he wouldn't have Ionia's ninja's overshadowing him. The lore really helps justify and explain this concept much better. I really enjoyed the lore.

Just 2 issues 1.) how would they know ninja like methods if they are from the Demacia region to teach Feng these methods? 2.) the League of Legends got ret-conned out of Runeterra's/Valoran's lore a LONG time ago buddy thats stuff isn't valid anymore and that fact is ancient history

Now on to the kit, i though u were changing the un-target-able on his Q to Unstoppable

His W is kinda remiscient of Kat's Q, just so you kno, so u may want to take a look at it.

I do like the 2nd version of the Ult better, because you move around and throw separate torrents of blades, it would allow you to set up you own area of control it wouldn't be a predeteremined shape like Kat or Irelia. I think u need to really watch out for those two if u continue to work on this because they share similar spaces of throwing blades around the map.

From reading the lore i thought u had some interesting notes on his abilities that i believe are missed opportunities in the kit "His skills of the Ninjato blade, Kunai, and his unparalleled speed in combat in which against certain opponents he can** constantly keep himself in their blind spot** from swift movement," Using blindspots would be an interesting way to play, kinda like a reverse version of Fiora's passive, dont you think?

You know, Ninjas don't use mana. And I think you've made this too long for keeping patience. .

Made an edit to his abilities, details at the bottom of the thread at the part saying 3rd edit.

Basically I nerfed the hit box of his W Keen Blade by a decent amount while giving the speed a slight increase, and it should be more difficult to Land his W. I buffed his Q by bringing back untargetability, but it is a slight variation to the one I had before, and is something I really want on his Q. I wanted to clarify a few things in his R better so I gave a bit more specifics, particularly that the projectiles start being thrown and the wave of blades starts moving instantly as soon as he ults. Lastly I explained a potential buff I want on his passive that I would like for Feng to have, but I'm not putting it in there because it might be too good of a buff.

Aside from the ability descriptions section that is fairly reasonable in length, regarding the rest of the thread I know I ended up writing a lot, and it turned out to be a fairly long thread. Even though I am eager to hear from Riot on this; as I had mentioned in the part before the ability descriptions I want to say again that I also am really interested in hearing other players feedback, even if you are against Riot making a champion like this.

Even if you don't like Feng as a champion I would be curious as to why that is so, and would be fine with receiving constructive criticism in general, especially if it has to do with Feng's abilities. Is this a champion that would help in you enjoying the game more? Would you like Feng to be made that has the Anime/action ninja/warrior inspired theme similar to the popular Yasuo, Zed, and Yi champions currently in the game, and allowing for a wider selection of champions to choose from that fits that theme and gameplay? Do you enjoy playing Yasuo, Zed, or Yi often, and would be interested in playing as Feng as well, or perhaps even prefer him over those three frequently played champions?

For everyone reading, regardless of whether you are for or against Feng being made, please let me hear your thoughts. I am very interested on hearing what people think about Feng.

I Made new significant edits to the thread in response to FlameHalbrdOkido's recent reply, thanks for bringing up the importance of a champion lore, and mentioning his ult having some similarities with Irelia so I can make some changes to the thread.

I Created a "Lore and Appearance" section for Feng. It is now the first section, with there now being 4 sections total, and mentioning again that the most important section is still number 2 which explains his abilities.

I created a 2nd version of his ultimate that is more unique in case that one would be better than the 1st one I came up with. Even though I like them both, if I had to choose between the two of them, I prefer this new version slightly more to the first one.

Lastly I added a TLDR part at the end of the thread to help direct people to the most important part of the thread, being the champions abilities in section 2. Everything else is just extra while section 2 is the core part of the thread.
