#Introduction
Note: I have just entered this concept into the September CCOS run by the awesome SirArmaMalum, if you want to check out the many great concepts entries or are interested in entering your own concept here is the post: September CCOS Entries Here
Hello everyone! It has been awhile since my last champion concept but if you like this and want to check out some more of my work you can find a full list at my Special Champion Concept List. Now before you start reading i would like you to keep this in mind: Please focus on the abilities themselves rather then the numbers. With a few clicks and taps on the keyboard i can easily change them numbers no problem, but the abilities are a bit harder to change. So id really like your feedback to focus on how they abilities work and what kind of issues they may have. Still tell me about any problems with the numbers but don't make it the focus of your critique (unless you can't find anything else wrong ;D). Also this is my first time using pictures in my concepts, i suck at drawing and dont like using other peoples art but i noticed that concepts tend to get a bit more attention if people can associate a picture to the concept. I dont really know how to put them where i want them though so any advice would be very helpful.
#Daeluras, Keeper of the Sun and Moon.
#Lore "In the old tales, older than any country in living memory, there are stories of a powerful being that once ruled the heavens. It is said that the Sun and the Moon were once one, one powerful Celestial. There are many names for this being but its true name in the oldest language of ancients was Solunis, the First of the Stars. Solunis wielded great power over the other Celestials, some say it even created them, there are many stories of its great power and deeds but this is not one of them. This is a story of its death. This is a story of Daeluras, Keeper of the Sun and Moon and how he came to be.
Solunis may have ruled the heavens, but it was not the Ruler. For everything Solunis did was for its own benefit, if it created other Celestials it was only to enslave them or often to test its powers. Thus it came to be feared and despised by the others, and this is how the Great Revolt came about which created many of the planets and stars we see today. At the end of the war one being known as the Great Caretaker, decided Solunis upset the balance of the heavens too much and with the help of all the remaining Celestials he split Solunis in two, attempting to end it for good. Instead Solunis’ body and power separated, one becoming the Moon and the other the Sun. Unintentionally, a third part split off, Solunis’ Soul, but instead of reforming in its original form, it took on a new form. A small child Celestial, almost the spitting image of Solunis, stood in between the sun and the moon. The Celestials took pity on the child instead of slaying him and decided to raise him to be better than his progenitor. They named him Daeluras and taught him the powers of Celestials. As he grew his power grew exponentially, drawing his power from the sun and his strength from the moon that were still attached to him, he was stronger than any other being. So, fearing a revival of Solunis, the Celestials cut him free and separated them, imprisoning the Moon on a small planet with an extraordinary life force and encircling the Sun with other powerful planets to contain it. They then tasked Daeluras with making sure the two never combined again and gave him the authority to punish any who dared disrupt the balance, in hopes that he himself would never attempt to once again be whole.
As he roamed the stars Daeluras couldn’t shake the feeling he was missing something, fearing what it meant he went to an Elder Celestial to ask for advice. The Elder, figuring Daeluras’ sense of justice would overpower any desire to become Solunis, decided to tell Daeluras of his history. Sure enough Daeluras’ came to the conclusion Solunis should never be revived and in an attempt to satiate his thirst for power without relying on the Sun and Moon, he went to the planet imprisoning the Moon. He had heard from other Celestials the beings that inhabit this planet can empower them simply through belief and worship.
So using his power he created a clan of these beings and passed on sacred knowledge, in turn these beings helped him keep the Sun and Moon separated through their worship. He named them the Solunimari, after his progenitor, and gave to them sacred objects personifying the Moon and the Sun. He told them these objects must always be used in conjunction with each other in order to keep the balance of worship. He left to continue his job of keeping the Sun and the Moon separate now more powerful through the use of worship.
Through the years though there came to be two factions among the Solunimari, one side who came to worship the sun and the other the moon. Eventually they split into two entire villages each despising the other. Soon it came to war, the foolish beings had forgotten their true purpose. Using the overwhelming power of the sun and their far greater numbers, the Sun tribe destroyed the Moon tribe and sealed away their sacred artifacts, claiming them to be heretical. The Sun tribe banished the little remaining Moon tribe and locked away any knowledge of their existence. As you know the Sun tribe later became known as the Solari and the Moon tribe was called the Lunari.
We however are neither, or to be more accurate, we are both. We are the Solunimari, or what remains of it. We try to keep up our worship but our numbers are dwindling and the imbalance of worship will soon cause a great catastrophe. The Solari and Lunari artifacts, whose original purpose was to be used as one, now battle each other. The bonds that keep the Sun and Moon apart weaken with every passing day. Soon Daeluras will come; when he does he will punish all those who have gone against his will, his justice."
#Appearance His name is pronounced like Die-loo-ras. For the most part he doesn’t wear much clothing, except of course to cover the naughty bits. He has flowing cloth around his lower region and flowing from his shoulder plates. He does wear small amounts of armor buts its more decorative then for protection. He has shoulder plates, one like a sun and the other a crescent moon. He wears a bracelet on each arm, on one it depicts the moon cycles and the other has the sun and the orbiting planets. His hair is long, wild, and white. On his forehead he wears a crown of a Crescent moon encircling a blazing sun. Behind his head is a bright glow with no apparent origin point. In his left hand (the sun side) he holds his Staff of Light; this is how he channels the power of light, fire, and heat. Its a medium length staff at the end is a full blazing sun, in the center is a floating miniature sun, its design would be siimilar to Leona's shield and sword. In the right hand (the moon side) he holds the Moonlight Blade, a one handed full crescent blade which he uses to slice his foes. Its about arm length and he holds it in the center. Alternatively it could be a one handed crescent twinblade, its design would be similar to Diana's blade. He has various tattoos on his body that smolder like embers and his eyes are a pure bright white.
In addition to the one at the top here are some more pictures to kind of cover what i was going for: http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11113/111132234/3335651-sun+god.jpg
This is a picture of a staff similar to what i was going for:

Once he does he unleashes a pure beam of Sunlight down on the targeted enemy dealing massive magic damage over 3 seconds and burning them for 3 seconds afterwards. Anyone in a 250 radius of the target will take a portion of the damage and will be burned for 3 seconds after leaving the radius (this effect can only trigger once for the duration of the ultimate).

Shielded Allies will gain 25/40/55% of his Attack Damage for the duration of the shield.
#Explanations
So this is the area in which i explain things that may not be obvious or would look to clunky if i were to add into the abilities section. Please keep in mind what i said in the Introduction, numbers can easily be changed but the abilities cannot, so please look at the abilities themselves and how they work rather then the damage they do/block.
-
Passive: So his passive shouldn't be too complicated but i will explain it a bit more anyways. He does not use Mana, he uses Sun. To gain Sun he needs to Auto Attack things, this is the first time ive done a resource like this so forgive me if my gain system is wrong. The second part of his passive is the Moonlit Blade, which acts sort of like a reverse Garen ult? Idk how to explain it except that when he is below a certain amount of health he gains attack damage and attack speed. He then further gains additional attack damage the more damage he receives.
-
Q: So this is one of his more simple spells, you basically pick a spot click Q and a lil baby sun pops up. It then burns everything around it and slows them while they are in it. Originally it was going to be a blind, which would fit the design and concept alot more but i decided it would make him too powerful in melee fights. The point of this ability is for the CC not for the damage, so there is no point in leveling it up really. I want to reinforce that he is a Melee Mage type champion, i want his Melee to be his primary source of damage and his Mage to back it up. I think this ability captures that pretty well...
-
W: This is one of the more complicated spells. So this ability is different based on how much Sun you have. If you have over 55% of your maximum Sun you will do a powerful gap closer, if you do not have over 55% you have an auto-attack reset. Its all about management of your Sun, that is the key to this ability. Do you save Sun for the burst? or do you use the Sun do deal a bit more sustained? Thats part of why i did it this way, i wanted there to be a choice of: Do i go for burst damage, will i be able to kill them or should i just do small chunks of damage until im more sure? It really changes up his playstyle in my opinion. A bit more on the second part of his ability, the first hit can apply on-hit effects, the second can only apply lifesteal.
-
E: Not a complex ability but it does have a bit to it so lets explain it in more detail. Its not really meant for damage although it can deal a bit, its more meant for returning Sun and for healing. The part about minions not impeding him means he can walk through minions without being blocked, additionally he will not gain aggro from them by attacking enemy champions. That is the true power of this ability, it allows dueling in the enemies minions. It might be too strong, in that case i will remove it or cut the damage severely.
-
R: So this is the ability im sure is going to be where most will call bullshit and stop reading (thank you for making it that far though :D). Just to be clear i want to say this while channeling he is suppressed and during this time his ult can be stopped. Also for Magnificent Sun the damage is over time, yes it is a DoT, meaning you can make it to the fountain, or heal, or get shielded, or lifesteal, etc. For Mysterious Sun, if you break the shield then the bonus is gone and they do not heal. So its not a totally OP ability... Now to clarify a few points that may not be obvious. First yes while he is channeling and for 3 seconds afterwards he has sight of all enemies, but it is only for him! Also yes he does have 4.5 seconds to pick a target.... That might change when i figure out a better way to implement this so any help is appreciated. For the shield i think its pretty straight forward. They are shielded, if it doesnt break they are healed for X amount + the remaining shield (meaning if you shield someone outside of battle they get a way better heal). They also get bonus AD WHILE SHIELDED so they can dish out more damage for a bit, it is based on his AD though so its usefulness is dependent on his build. Yes the ults range is the entire map :| i dont really want to change that.
Ok now that that is taken care of i would like to say thank you for reading this post, i hope you enjoyed it. If not please feel free to downvote, dont worry i totally understand, but please at least comment on why you down vote, hopefully i can change it. I am open to constructive criticism so please please comment below on how you feel i can improve the concept. Also if there are any artists who really like my concept and want to draw it please message me, i would love to see what you come up with :).
