Moving Demolish to Ohmwrecker Follow-Up
I had previously made a post about moving Demolish from the Resolve tree to an item. A few people seemed to like the idea, so I thought I would follow up with an actual item design I think would support it. The design concepts behind this item are:
- To retain Ohmwrecker's tower-oriented theme and to bring the item into a viable spot
- To provide top laners with an alternative siege item to Zz'Rot Portal or possibly to replace it
- To provide the item with stats and build path to make it an attractive first major purchase
- To make the item comparable to Randuin's Omen, Deadman's Plate, and Sunfire Cape in terms of late game slot fulfillment and cost efficiency
- In order to give top laners earlier access to Demolish, and to fill build path space, I have also created a new component named Rampart Sledge with a weakened form of the passive. Utilizing the passive to break tower plating (worth 160g) will be the incentive to purchase the component early on. Breaking one tower plate will bring the finished item to be cost efficient; however, due to health regeneration becoming less useful the later the game goes on, you may consider the item 90.7% efficient if you break three tower plates and disregard the base health regeneration portion.
So, with that all out of the way, here is the final design:
Ohmwrecker
(3000g) = 94.7% cost efficient w/o passives OR = 74.7% cost efficient w/o passives and if you ignore the health regeneration late game Built from Rampart Sledge (950g) + Raptor Cloak (900g) + Crystalline Bracer (650g) + 500g +60 armor +400 health +200% base health regeneration UNIQUE PASSIVE – POINT RUNNER: Builds up to 20% bonus movement speed over 2 seconds while near turrets, fallen turrets and Void Gates. UNIQUE PASSIVE - DEMOLISH: You generate stacks on enemy structures within 600 units, up to 6 after 3 seconds. Your next attack versus a structure with 6 stacks deals 100 (+ 30% of your maximum health) bonus physical damage. Demolish will only go on cooldown (45s) upon triggering the damage. This effect cannot be used against the same tower more than once every 8 seconds.
NEW ITEM - RAMPART SLEDGE
(950g) = 98.1% efficient w/o passive Builds from Cloth Armor (300g) + Ruby Crystal (400g) + 300g +20 armor +200 health UNIQUE PASSIVE - DEMOLISH: You generate stacks on enemy structures within 600 units, up to 6 after 3 seconds. Your next attack versus a structure with 6 stacks deals 50 (+ 15% of your maximum health) bonus physical damage. Demolish will only go on cooldown (45s) upon triggering the damage. This effect cannot be used against the same tower more than once every 8 seconds.
