More Realistic Base?
Just some goofy thoughts, but what if towers actually had minions manning them? And for every minion, the tower had another laser or something and only ranged champions could hit the minions? Then little minions would waddle out from the nexus and climb back up the tower every now and then!
On that line, what if there were like a gate that could be destroyed, and melee champions did more damage to structures in general? Meanwhile ranged champions would do about the same amount of damage if they built a lot of AP or AD.
Also, what if there were like, a shield generator between each of the inhibitors? Something that until destroyed, provided a damage reduction to towers. That way when you took one down, you could go for the shield generator and make it easier to take down the adjacent tower. This would make mid a very highly contested tower to take, while making side towers easier to take only if you nabbed the shield generators. This could also make for some interesting sneak attack gameplay for champions with dashes that could get to the shield generators.
