Champion Concept: Donovan- The Vanguard of Brilliance

Donovan is a paladin from the same celestial realm that Kayle inhabited. He uses a club and shield to shatter his foes and protect his allies. He is similar to Braum in stature, but he sports gleaming golden armor, a gleaming shield, wings plated with gold armour. And a club of silver and gold. Donovan is an support or a top laner depending on whether he goes ability power focused or attack damage focused.

passive: Unflinching Courage Donovan gains armor and magic resist based on how long he is in combat. At the start of combat he will always start with 5 bonus armor and 3 bonus magic resist. Upon entering combat with enemy champions he will gain 10 - 45 (levels 1-18) armor over the next four seconds, and 8-35 (levels 1-18) magic resist over the next four seconds.

Q: Strike of Judgement Donovan's next basic attack deals an additional 20/35/40/55/70+(45% attack damage) bonus physical damage, and it will disarm enemy attacked for 0.75/ 1/ 1.25/ 1.5/ 1.75 seconds. (I imagine he is slamming enemy with his club with this attack) cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6

W: Gleaming Blessing Heals an ally (or Donovan himself) for 30/50/70/90/110+(40% ability power)+(5% bonus health) health. cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14 cast range: 650

E: Fair Justice For the next 1.5 seconds Donovan raises his wings defensively and takes no damage, but he is rooted in place and cannot attack while in this state. After the invulnerability has ended Donovan releases a burst of energy which deals 100/120/140/160/180+(25% ability power)+(20/30/40/50/60% damage blocked) as magic damage to all enemies within 300 units. cooldown: 30/27/24/21/18

R: Divine Radiance: Passive: When Donovan is below 40% hp Fair Justice will heal him for 3/5/7% of his missing health.

Active: After a delay of 1 second Donovan increases an ally's armor and magic resist by 10/15/20% of Donovan's ability power for 2 seconds. On top of that Donovan heals them for 200/300/400+(80% ability power)+(10% Donovan's max hp). note: He can't cast this on himself and enemies will see an indicator that his ult is about to happen range: 2000 cooldown: 200/175/150

Pros: Incredibly resilient 2 ways to heal allies (w and ult) 2 ways to heal himself (w and e) Cons: Only 1 source of cc and no way to peel allies His e has a very long cooldown

Counterplay If you bait an e out of Donovan he is vulnerable to attack as it has a very long cooldown He has no mobility so he is easy to kite No cc besides q (and that is soft cc). Meaning he can't peel for allies like other melee supports.

I mean... he looks balanced but a 6 second cd on a disarm at top. He will be a little frustrating to deal with but if teemo can do it from a distance he'll be fine.

He seems decently balanced honestly. The disarm will be a little annoying for melee top laners...but I'm not gonna lie: screw Renekton. :P
