I'd totally buy that the first day it comes out. At the moment, i'm saving up for Azir but judging by is play style, I think I would like him. I don't want Galaxy Azir just because it's a couple of changes of colors and nothing really special, but this. THIS. Is amazing.

I don't play Azir, but as a chess player I would buy Azir for this skin.

That sounds awesome! :D Azir could be dressed as a King or Bishop, his soldiers could be Pawns, and his ult could be a wall of Knights charging.
