Can we remove DFG from the game please?

Given Riot's game design philosophy regarding counterplay and interaction, i dont understand why this item is allowed to exist.

DFG does the following.

  1. Allows AP assassins to instantly kill targets without using their full combo whenever the active is available.
  2. Allows AP mages who wouldnt otherwise be able to instantly kill a target, to instantly kill a target.

Both of these things are void of any counterplay or interaction and serve only the dumb down the game.

Furthermore the design of the item is flawed. Its intended purpose is to help AP champions to kill tanks but the item is just as if not more effective agasint squishy champions.

Please remove this item, it has no place in this game.

Talking from experience of playing AP assassins, you have to get fed early on in order to get to the point where you can insta-kill a squishy with DFG. If it gets to the point where they can do so, it's your fault, not the item's.

This simply isn't true. Off the top of my head, Ahri, Syndra, and Katarina are three champions who are very capable of dealing high burst damage with or without DFG. Syndra's ult does a minimum of 300 or so damage at level 6 (which you can easily increase by roughly 180-200 by getting out two more balls), Ahri's E is already a mini-DFG in and of itself, and we've all seen what a fed Katarina can do.

DFG is not broken. You just need to work harder at shutting the assassins down early if you don't want to get insta-gibbed.
