Can someone explain me why Alistar heal not giving assist but Soraka and other champs give assist ?

janna's ult doesn't give assist for healing either. Nor does sona passive aoe aora. It has to intentional interact with someone not just hey i was around. OR people with ageis would get free assist left and right

I'm not sure why Janna's ultimate does not. She moves enemies aside and heals teammates. Janna can shield a tower and pick up a kill, why can't her ult? Soraka can pick up free assists with her ult, as can Karma's R+E combo. There a re plenty of champions that can get free assits.

If she pushes people away with her ult i think she gets crdit for interacting with teh enemy.

The reason aoe heals by themselves dont matter is that the heal is not really interacting with a champ. YEs they are getting healed but your ult just sorta works in a area. (again ageis does not give credit either) it cause there is a lack of direct interaction.

If Soraka's ultimate grants assists, Alistar's heal should do the same. That's what this discussion is about after all. Plain and simple. All Soraka has to do is press R and she can rack up the free assists. I believe this a bug and should be resolved. Either than or remove Soraka's Ultimate granting assists.
I think the Riot argument is that Soraka's is "targetted" (all you really do is press R), yet Alistar's is not. Maybe its too neutral? I don't know. In my firm opinion, if it heals an ally and said ally kills an enemy champion, Ali should get an assist. As should Janna's ult.

u may not agree. But i am expalinging why just aoe auras dont give credit.

Soraka is not an aoe heal aura. Also Soraka is using an ult Alistar is not. Also Karthus ult has in common that Alistar heal if we were comparing abilities.

You are trying to force bad logic to explain your case.

I get its an AoE heal. I totally get that and understand why he does not get assists. It'd not bad logic, its just my opinion. I'm not asking you to agree. I suppose its for the best they do not get assists, but its just sad.
