take/kill damns Wraiths/Chickens . Thank you.

As Mid laner go and steal Enemy ones. Dont take your Jungler camps. Why ?

  1. Spawn is now 100 Seconds not less - Major Change

  2. Chickens gives now usefull buff , where your jungler can Swipe Ward 3)Killing Chickens put your Jungler behind since he gets less XP (look above , spawn timer)

  3. If you rlly want farm Chickens - Ward enemy bush and take enemy Camp . It's gonna deny his JUNGLER

Thank you.

How about this: Don't poach your junglers camps unless he spefically tells you you can. I'm not in your lane CSing. Why are you in my jungle taking my monsters?

LeeDark22 votes

I'm not in your lane CSing.

Yes. Yes, you are.

JustMyBassCannon4 votes

Oh, yeah, sorry, I'm CSing on that one big thing that keeps chucking fists/scythes/bullets at you and nearly gibbing you. Wait...that thing's not a minion, is it?

Castanean2 votes

Most likely, he's talking about Lane Taxing. It's not exactly an activity I practise, but I do see the logic behind it... If you're playing an item-reliant Carry Jungler.

Rikari6 votes

so when you ask me to hold your tower you want me to tank up 3 minion waves for when you return?

Yxion the Yordle10 votes

!@#$ YEAH! WOOO! Malzahar

Hyrum Graff3 votes

No, I want you to cs. But I don't just want you to randomly walk into my lane and start csing.

Similarly, when you're ganking top and aren't going to make it to your chickens in the next 100 seconds, you should want me to take them. But when you're at red, you should be rightfully pissed if I do.

Toby Flenderson1 votes

you can easily make it from top lane to chickens easily in under 100 seconds

Incognonymous3 votes

I'm not in your lane CSing.

Yes. Yes, you are.

I'm not saying I don't smite a cannon minion every now and then, or last hit a minion the laner was clearly going to miss, but I generally don't practice a lane tax.

Fundevogel1 votes

You probably won't see this, but whatever. If I kill the enemy during the gank, I don't tax. If they get the kill i take cannon or one or two minions. I don't take a whole wave. Plus as a Kha jungle main, I need the xp... gotta get them evolutions, so if you want a decent gank, please don't take my camps.

Hyrum Graff1 votes

If you tax, you get stronger.

If you're pulling off successful ganks, chances are you can help me carry, so I want you to be strong. Therefore, when I have a jungler who's ganking well, I WANT you to tax, so when you come back you can keep doing more successful ganks, as well as help snowball other lanes, too. Even though it puts me a little back.

Similarly, if I'm jungling, and I plan on taking two bot-side camps before ganking bot, if my mid is good, I'd rather have my mid take chickens while I take red and krugs, even if chickens are a little easier for me to take than krugs, because if my mid can help me carry, that's good.

If my mid or jungler, respectively, are bad, ofc I don't want them taxing or taking chickens - that's gold and xp onto a less valuable player.

tl;dr It's a team game, I want gold and xp on the people who can carry. Whichever lane they're in. However they get it.

Yes. Yes, you are.

That's a bummer, now u have to wait 2 min for the next wave of 4 minions that brings only 50 gold while ur tower refuses to defend u and take the agro, or go to the other side of the map to find another wave.

Do us all favor try couple of games as a jungler, So at least u would know how many times will that buff gonna ensure the mid laner a kill or assist.

MrBuffington25 votes

Spawns for all smaller camps is actually 100 seconds.

Pvt Yong Tai7 votes

Yeah, the birds are actually really useful now and [NEWS FLASH] they're harder than wolves now! Wolves are a weaker camp than Birds so please go take wolves instead (or none at all is better for me, since all camps give the same exp, which is huge, like the respawn times)

kunkudunk1 votes

Yeah those birds hurt. Makes wolves seem like puppies.

flibitydoo7 votes

Actually, as a jungler, I don't mind you trying to take our team's chicken/wraith camp, just don't take the big one that I smite for ganks.

The little ones I'm okay with losing. They actually hurt a bit and slow down my clear sometimes. They're worth more gold now (like about equal in value to lane minions now), but I don't mind losing them.

LeeDark4 votes

Okay, this is good information. If the smalls are worth more than 12 gold total, only taking them is an option.

Krfin1 votes

14 gold per each small one. 42gold right there

jQuery3 votes

And take only the big one at the enemy camp Teemo

Kowe The Ewok6 votes

Had several games like this today... One lane lost - and dragged me into the bottom of hell with them by taking my camps. Suddenly I was 2 levels behind the enemy jungler and got outsmited at drake snowballing further down.

Ninpire5 votes

Omfg. I hate this. I didn't notice it in the old jungle when I never actually jungles anyway, but I recently picked up nocturne and around mid game when I was trying to finish up some items my team took every single one of my camps except gromp. Like wtf. I ended up invading the enemy jungle and killing the crab but still if that happens again I'll probably die while invading.

HexTechBomber4 votes

Ermmm no? if the mid laner is not there, or if you just secured a kill/wasted opponent's flash or ult, for your any laner, it is common courtesy to let your jungler tax.

Lane tax shouldn't really be a thing honestly.

It's just a stupid thing that someone made up because they thought I'm super special and deserve something for making something happen.

No it's just plain dumb. While the jungler doesn't have to gank, they shouldn't lane tax because you begin to cut in to the gold that champion's lane.

Now if we just shoved people out of lane, I won't be upset to tell my Jungler help push lane hard so we can damage the turret as much as possible since we just shoved them out of lane.

But if a jungler comes in on a bad gank and you warned them they blow it, taxing is just stupid because you're putting your lane behind.

Simply put, if lane phase is still going on and your jungler doesn't tell you you can take a jungle camp on your side, don't do it.

Don't lane tax unless your going to push that lane in super hard.

Also if another lane ganks another lane unless you can push that lane, don't take their farm because you're putting them behind. This happened last night when I was ADC where I was doing fine in my lane and trying to farm when enemy was gone the mid lane came down just to take my farm and didn't do anything but leave.

simply put...DON'T DO IT if you're not pushing the lane with them.

Rgamer6842 votes

So if I jump into your lane on your lane opponent, and either A) boot them out of lane, giving you a large amount of free farm, B) Feed you a kill, or C) Kill your lane opponent, again giving you several minutes of free farm, and an opportunity to push the lane if you desire, you're going to get upset about me taking a couple last hits on the way out?

By the way, I don't lane tax on failed ganks, but on successful ones? Two last hits is a decent part of a camp for me, and if I'm playing a jungler with poor clear, those take me way more than two last hits take you, especially with the lack of denying in this game.

HexTechBomber1 votes

Honestly if you've forced the enemy lane opponent out and the goal from there is actually you helping to push the lane to turret, I'm not mad and I stated that but if you come in and things are successful I'm not upset. But if you take the kill then farm, it's kinda not worth you taking the 300G + 2 minions worth when I'd get the assist and probably much less to top it off. If your goal is however to fast push the lane as fast as possible, I won't be upset because were taking the objective but if you come take farm and leave without doing anything, then yes I'd be upset because your choking me in my own lane.

I Think i'm still more stuck on the fact junglers have gone back to i do not exist till lvl 6 now in my past few games

My team chat is like now filled with "I need help top" or " Mids ready to be ganked" and a few ping notices but still i get junglers who don't say a word and simply just keep farming their farm till lvl 6 or 7 and then they come out and die. on their first gank.

Well if you think about this though, Jungle's gotten tougher, the new meta shift is now different because of Smite upgradable by item jungle enhancements which also change the type of Jungler player too.

Expect it to be wonky for a while.

Probably because ganking before your first back is next to impossible, and pre 6 it's still very risky and difficult. 9/10 if I tell a laner to just wait a bit, they just get mad and die.

and then they come out and die. on their first gank.

That's because they're bad.

If your jug... or more to the point prob you, are trying to use the jungle to stay even with lanes by mass farming your doing Jug wrong start ganking.

You see once you catch up and get even alittle ahead, Our good friends at Riot thought it would be a great Idea to lower the exp you get from creeps to 55%. Which means the only thing you'll be going to the jungle for is gold and buffs. One Other point I'd like to make is that by doing the 55% they made counter jugging pointless.

first of all please stop calling it jug. noone jugs. we jungle. second of all by taking your junglers monsters, You restrict his ability to gank and gold that is MUCH needed. Even with the decreased xp per camp the buff to a jungler is just too valuable. Raptors let you know when you are spotted by a ward. It could potentially prevent you from getting counterganked. Just be respectful. And honestly I haven't even noticed the exp decrease. Also because the camps take so long to respawn it is now even more important to get them the moment they come back. Counterjungling is now increasingly effective because you can have the buff for pretty much the entire duration your camp is down if you take the enemies camp as well. Now that all camps have buffs its so much more important to take them. Instead of focusing on just blue and red, taking wolfs/raptors etc. can affect the game so much more now.

jungle shouldn't have to gank 24/7 to stay even. ganking should put them ahead not breaking even. You're thinking with s2 mindset, they need every bit of cs because sometimes, the lanes are pushed or the mid is not warding (this happens a lot) and ganking is not ideal. So it is their minions not yours; if they want you to have them, they'll say so.

He's saying that if you need experience, you're better off leaching exp from top or mid because duo lane experience from minions is split so that both parties receive 55% of the total experience available (yes, you get 10% "extra" experience in a duo lane). Given that camp downtime has increased by a huge amount, he's completely correct. If I'm being counterjungled, I'm better off camping a lane and soaking their exp than trying to get water from a rock.

Soraffeson3 votes

I agree with this completely, here is the thing, if you are a laner, FARM THE LANE, if you can't farm a lane, HELP PUSH A LANE. If you are a Jungler, FARM THE JUNGLE, if you can't farm the jungle, HELP PUSH A LANE. Thank you! :)

tl;dr It's a team game, I want gold and xp on the people who can carry. Whichever lane they're in. However they get it.

There is a difference, however, between jungle tax and minion tax. Minion tax gives you gold and exp you normally would get from the jungle. Jungle tax, however, takes into account level. You will be higher level than the jungle creeps by at least 1 to 2 levels. So you're actually taking a 20% exp loss for taxing the birds, exp that is easily gained from your minions. In essence, you are taxing for nothing that you won't already be gaining, and that

Junglers will ALWAYS be behind unless they get super fed. My last game as Pantheon? I had something like 4 kills by around 12 minutes, and I was still 1 level below that of the laner.

It is acceptable for a jungler to tax your minions because its giving him what he normally would get farming the jungle. It is not acceptable for a laner to take jungle creeps because you don't get as much exp as the jungler, that spawn is 100 seconds, and you're taking away a free scanner from the jungler, and you're setting him behind in his clearing route.

So its extremely important that you don't take it without asking before hand because if your jungler is even slightly behind? He's going to be stuck like that the entire game.

Except wolves. I don't much care about wolves past 15 minutes since their buff is pretty useless. I'm just glad krugs and gromp are usually too out of the way for people to take.

Wolves is actually a smart camp to take if you are counter jungling often. Since it gives you a free ward in their jungle. Good against champs like evelynn (even though she's trash in current jungle they gonna buff her eventually) and it allows you to know the best time to gank or steal buffs.

let me help you out....most likely this is a new thing for most of you.

Mid Laner: I'm gonna take your wolves

Response option A - Jungler: Ok np

Response option B- Jungler: No don't im behind on farm and need them.

Mid laner: k

It's much simpler than you think...

JustMyBassCannon1 votes

Sure, if you have voice chat, or if you can type about 50 words per minute and notice the chat at the instant they say they're taking the farm (assuming they tell you about 5 seconds before going down into the camp and taking it, instead of when they start farming your camps).

All of this assuming that your teammate tells you they're farming your camps in the first place

Woook3r1 votes

What if the top lane and jungle take turns in the jungle. So after the jung gets low after ganking ect he can smite red for a hp boost and give a partial leash to the top laner who takes the crest of cinders. The former jungler would go top with some nice hp and farm for a while.

Apex Citavista1 votes

I do not mind when peopel take my small camps, BUT tell me first, so I can kinda tell you which one I don't need. Often times juglers, like myself, weill plan things 4-5 camps ahead. Like "Ok go clear wolves, smite birds and clear ward, then gank" BUT when an laner assumes that he is entitled to one of my big buffs, that is where I draw the line. Yes, since the update I dont give away any many buffs. Simply because as a jungler, we need the exp and the sustain way more than before. So when I see somebody who doesnt really need a buff, taking it away from me, best believe I will walk up, watch you waken it, and then smite it to take it. I will then go into chat and say "If you want a fucking buff, you need to ask first, or play jungle"
