Remove flash from the Game please and THANK YOU!

Well let me explain.

Flash is taken 90% of the time, that means you will get into a game and almost everyone will have it, for anyone who plays mid / jungle you must keep a count on the enemies flash timers.

When ganking a lane there are two outcomes you would like to achieve, 1.) A kill / assist 2.) burning someones flash.

If you burn someones flash ITS A GUARANTEED KILL the next time you hook around to fight them.

Alot of people say "If you take out flash you are indirectly nerfing ALL the champions without an escape / engage!" Well guess what, if you got caught out of position its hard to believe but i think its fair enough to say that you should disciplined for failing to play smart. If you are the type of person that likes to click "D" / "F" and get out of a "sticky situation" what kind of game style is that? When in the history of game balance is there always a get out of jail free card other than monopoly? (even those are hard to get)

If RIOT does go ahead and say "hmm yeah we agree" there will be a huge amount of nerfs rather than buffs because of the removal of a single spell, so in fact I do believe that nerfs / adjustments to champions engages and escapes will have to be tuned for the straight forward fact that flash was removed.

IF YOU HAVE ANY DISAGREEMENTS OR REBUTTALS YOU WOULD LIKE TO DISPUTE, RATHER THAN DOWN-VOTING BLINDLY, PLEASE COMMENT. yet...people still downvote and dont comment.

Ok I have a bit of a compromise idea here. How about if we put a Dota-esque restriction on flash, so that it can only be used if you haven't taken damage in the past 5-ish seconds.

This means two things: One, flash becomes much less useful for defensive "get out of jail free" purposes. You would still get punished in most instances for bad positioning.

Two, you would still have the ability to make impressive, aggressive plays with flash, a la flash crescendos.

Thoughts?

Sorry, as you stated the removal of flash would be a indirect nerf on all champions who lack escapes. Already in the current meta, mobility is more important than ever so many champions are being benched due to their lack of mobility. While you may not like flash, it turns out flash counters flash. Your opponent flashes to try to escape, you flash right after them, and boom both flashes negated. So whats the harm in that? Yeah I do agree that you are basically forced to bring flash cause it out classes all the other summoners, but this game is largely designed on mobility so removing flash hurts the viability of 50%+ of the champion pull.

I am totally against you proposition, because flash, as you said, is a getaway tool. But figure out that everybody rages when they burn their flash or they can't get a kill because someone flahed. But flash has been part of the game. If you remove it, it's like removing teemo. Riot can't do this. Also, o justify that Riot should remove a spell, it must make the champion/player using it OP, but flash doesn't even add damage, or attack speed, or anything: it just teleports rapidly your champion nearby, like ezreal's arcane shift. I think that if Riot would remove a spell, it would be rather ignite than flash, because it is not all the champions that have escape (take example of gangplank or darius), those champions need an escape, and thus they need a flash. And i think that you should more think of removing barrier except of flash.

So, flash is part of the game, as the same level as teemo or ashe or garen or veigar or ryze or any typical champions like them (shaco, blitz, nasus, sona, ...). Thus, we can't remove something that is so classic and that everyone is used to, even if they rage on it, because they know that it is as such fondementaol to the game.

So, ya, try to calm yourself and go punch someone if you need to. Seriously.

And dont forget to watch drunked men wiping the floor while watching TV on you shower time, but only at 4:00 PM, otherwise you won't be as calm as i am :D

Says a pro veigar player that hates fizz

Honestly, I think League of Legends is past the point where Flash can just be removed. People have come to rely on it too much and even champion abilities have been balanced around the mere existence of Flash. At this point, Flash might as well be the other free spell you get besides Recall.

Personally, I don't like to see Flash every game and I also don't like having to take Flash to counter my opponents taking Flash. Do I think Flash itself is the problem? No.

There is no summoner spell other than itself that can effectively counter Flash. The only one that is arguably a soft-counter is Exhaust. However, no other spell is as big of an enabler as Flash and this herein lies the problem.

If Exhaust had 600 range and lasted half a second longer I would get it to counter Flash. If Ghost gave (+25 flat ms in addition to the +% ms) or allowed me to move through those tiny walls I'd get it to counter Flash. If we had a spell like Stagger from Dawngate I'd get it to counter Flash.

Flash has been nerfed like hell and is still good because all it's competitors are still weak.

If Riot were to remove Flash, it should be done during one of the Preseasons so that people can cause as big of a shitstorm as they like and Riot can experiment to their hearts content.

burning flash is not a guaranteed kill. I don't know if you're higher or lower in tier so it's different but burning flash doesn't instantly kill that person. if the player burns flash there are different tactics in staying safe i.e. wards and such
