I got autofilled (jungle), and I gave first blood. Forgive me for thinking that was the nail in the coffin. Nope, that game ended 18-3, with me having 2 of the 18 kills. They couldn't even surrender at 15 because their Zilean went afk in fountain. This has to be some kind of statistical anomaly. One dude getting carried by 4 others can't be the vision Riot has for this game, as they've spent literal years of compounding various balance paradigms.

You're right.

Riot intended for one person on the enemy team to carry the other three teammates while Zilean was afk. They obviously need to work on the execution of that plan.
