Better play a champion who can secure objectives and siege because God knows your teammates won't.
this happens in my normal games a lot people are obsessed with taking baron down after a team fight yeah baron buff is nice but if all enemies are dead just hit the nexus bro

honestly every single bit of information on climbing out of silver is rubbish. What do all silver players have in common? they are all 3heads that all watch the exact same videos about how to climb out. If you want to win a game in silver expect to get into late game and play around that otherwise you will end up disappointed. Silver players dont want to be silver but they are and it wont change unless the get hard carried
Silver elo is broken because in that elo you'll find a lot of smurfs and a lot of new players that should belong in iron (they're bad because they're new and there's nothing wrong with that, but they blong in iron not in silver till they get better). When i first reached level 30 in season 3 i was in bronze v, it took me few months to reach gold and then plat. It takes time to improve, you can't instantly when u reach level 30 be placed in silver. Like in 1 team you have diamond smurf Riven and in another team you have just-reached level 30 Shen or something like that.
My team gets pissed because I won't teamfight on Varus.
I land a 3 man ult and kill 3 people before I die and you all just walk tf away saying we wouldn't have won that. No one else ults.

after 2 failed teamfights i just split and usually make it to the nexus towers before the team responds to me because the dumdum pops don't think ill get that far.
edit: yes i will group but only if i think my team is ready to actually fight. im not interested in playing aram on summoners rift

When Mages who do the biggest Per auto damage to towers since riot allowed them to damage towers and often have on hit in kit that work on towers for more damage refuse to auto attack towers because ' I'm a mage.' Both mages and adcs refusing to auto attack towers when the tanks and fighters are under the enemy tower pushing the enemy off of them but cant go up to hit the tower because they'ed be too far under the tower if the enemy re initiates. Mages a and adcs who run when they are the safest ones at the edge of tower range Because a solo melee Feeding enemy walked under his tower to defend it (i do this alot as a melee dieing alot or not just walking under saves the tower 80% of the time from Stupid ranged champions players who think that i can defend a tower 1v5)
This is legit a situation where spam pinging the nexus is a viable way to say "Stop doing whatever you guys are trying to do, and end the game."
Since it's silver its likely not that people have no intention to end the game. It's that they genuinely don't realize that they can end.
Best practice if your team refuses to end games early when completely able to is to pick a champion yourself that can solo push hard. Generally any champ who uses Triforce as a core item in their kit is a solid choice for a final push.
Ya, silver would be great if it weren't for all the damned silver teammates in it.
Nothing, very easy to climb out of.
Believe it or not, players have gotten tremendously better at winning and closing out games. It's been a very slow curve since S3, but your average game now is way harder than it was then.
