No reason to pick MF when Jinx exists.
Everything MF does, jinx does it better.
Only thing MF has over jinx is boobs.

Don't recall Jinx having great roaming potential, easy dodging in lane, or a team fight ult (Jinx's ult is a pick-off stragglers ult.)
MF has... um...
A stronger early game.
And instant AoE Slow!
And.... a stronger duelist....
And a hat.

And a hat.
Is not even instant son, it has casting time.
Oh I forgot about that! MF only utility, an AoE slow, has cast time, while jinx second utility, has no cast time, but take 0.7 seg to set up. What's the difference you ask? Well, casting is not really helpful when trying to catch someone, or run away from someone :)
But hat....
But hat....
Not on my secret agent mf, she doesnt.
Dat ass doe...
MF gots it.
Dat ass doe...
MF gots it.
Dat ass too. Closing in to MF ass when she walks ...
Magic damage? No. Early game power? No. Mid game destruction? No
They're very different. Jinx has more for poke but MF's will hurt more. Jinx's chompers are hard to use on a single target but don't have cast time whereas MF's slow is way easier to land but takes time to use. Jinx's ult has better range and less cast time but MF's ult has better aoe and does more damage.
The Mafia Miss Fortune skin is enough to justify playing her.
Grievous wounds.
Comes in handy when you fight people like

Mini-rework removed it. However, Jinx doesn't have on-demand/reliable mobility, requiring a kill/turret destroy vs Miss Fortune activates W or waits a few for her passive to come up.

GW was removed on her rework so no.
A little late on that one. . .
Sorry mate, I didnt want to say anything before I actually played MF enough to say so.

"On-demand/reliable mobility" You mean the one that any source of dmg that is not a dot can stop? The one that's nowhere near as strong as jinx one?
Magic damage? No. Early game power? No. Mid game destruction? No

Magic dmg that bearly does anything and need to stack up at least 3 autos to actually mean anything
Early game power, it depends. MF has more "cheese" potential with her second Q when killing a minion. Jinx has a snare, more range (on AA) AoE and a "more reliable" poke with her W.
Mid game destruction. I'll have what ever you are having. Jinx lvls up her AS steroid that gives her up to 130% bonus AS that last 2.5 seg after her last auto. Mf doesnt lvl up her bonus AS steroid, and even if she did, it would be a 60% bonus AS that last 6 seg.
"Better AoE and does more damge" jinx has crit rockets, MF has a channeled spell that is extremely easy to walk out of (unless womboed) and after that her AoE is gone, while jinx AoE last longer and does wayy more damage and leaves her in a much better position.
Don't recall Jinx having great roaming potential, easy dodging in lane, or a team fight ult (Jinx's ult is a pick-off stragglers ult.)
Yeah she doesnt have as much roaming potential as MF, but IF jinx were to roam, she would bring A) Better CC B) Better Poke C) Better objective control. Sure it will take her a little longer to move in between lanes.
Easy dodging, as long as they dont land any source of dmg, like an auto (That jinx out ranges) or some bullshit minion agro. IF that happens (something that any decent player WILL make happen before lunching a skillshot) then they are on even grounds.
That's exactly the point - miss fortune is a niche champion.
She is, (probably), the BEST pick for a team that has loads of wombo combo cc potential combined with having little/no magic damage. In this situation she brings some magic damage to her team so her enemy can't just stack armour, and she does nasty damage in that combo - you can't express how important it is to get lots of aoe damage out fast rather than having consistent aoe damage (there's a reason assassins exist).
In comps either where your team is all ad, or your team has wombo combo cc potential (but not both) miss fortune is likely a better pick than jinx (but may not be the best pick, corki/ezreal would be better for magic damage although i can't think about anyone better for the wombo combo).
The mobility is also a valid point. Jinx has mobility that only procs after a kill or structure destroyed, at this point your team is probably already winning the fight if it's going to let jinx clean but not MF, if it's going to let jinx escape she is easily dived as someone who is known to be really weak in close range (MF can out duel jinx).
None of this isn't to say jinx isn't strong or MF isn't weak. Jinx is better than MF in 90% of comps - that's why jinx is a meta pick and MF a niche pick. You can't have everyone as a meta pick, it just doesn't work.
You're an ADC, you're always auto attacking. If you use her AA reset you get all three of those stacks in one second. Early game isn't "it depends" MF outdamages Jinx easily at that stage with pure numbers alone and Jinx's W is very unreliable. MF is going to be leveling up her AS steriod at mid game, plus she'll be doing more than enough damage to make up for it with her natural mid game damage and impure shots damage. Jinx mostly stays back and uses rockets since she's immobile and powpow is short range. Even if they both just stand there and attack, mid game, MF easily out damages jinx. Her crit rockets are nice but you'll mostly be hitting the tank and its just as easy to walk away to avoid crit aoe as it is to walk out if MFs (if not easier).
These are literally my first two champions. Trust me, they are very different.

MF out dmg jinx.
Now that's a rough point, because is purely situational. MF combo, if done correctly, SHOULD out dmg Jinx. That is, W>AA>Q>AA>E>R. That combo should take about 4/5 seg to deal.
Also lets not forget that MF Q CANT crit. This means she could potentially deal LESS dmg by using her Q than if she waited for the AA reset. It's mostly used early have to dish out some "brust dmg", something that even graves does better.
Now Jinx DOESNT have a combo. She deals most of her dmg via AA and ult dmg. That means she deals MORE dmg the longer the battle goes than MF would (even tho impure shots really help her out to dish out dmg, you cant compete with a 130% "Perma" AS buff).
Now lets say wombos. The problem with wombos is that 1 rocket crit> all of mf ult. And Jinx should be able to fire AT LEAST 2 rockets while MF ult last. I still dont see anyreason why pick MF over Jinx. Jinx has better clear potential, her dmg isnt tied to a single skill that has painfully amounts of counter play, much better objective control, better sustained aoe dmg, better range, better utility, and, for me, the worst offender, if MF fall behind, all her niche is gone, her bully is gone and she doesnt scale that well into late game. If jinx falls behind, she can still be useful, she has choppers, has better clear/split push, has a chance to get easy kills with ult (easy as in lucky), and scales into insta win status once 6 items jinx happens.
Honestly this is more about "Jinx is srly overloaded with everything" than "MF sucks"
And I love both of them, they are the only two ADC's I've got skins, Secret Agent Mf and Mafia Jinx.
I LOVE playing with MF she is extreamly fun, but if i want to win, even if the start align, i would still pick jinx over mf. And that's sad. Power creep makes me sad.
Few things I wanted to clear up since I feel this conversation is starting to wrap up. Now if we're talking damage, late game, Jinx easily wins. Early game, Jinx isn't going to have crit. Also, W>AA>Q>AA is the actual combo. You're not going to need the ult unless you have multiple targets or they're getting away. Mid game get's more interesting. Now, I'm not going to into the math since this isn't school so I'm just going to speak from personal experience, and in my experience, MF easily beat Jinx here. A few patches ago, I would say it's even, with Jinx having the better late game, but that recent nerf hurt her early and mid game attack speed A LOT. She actually gains a lot less attack speed than most ADC's per level. Powpow is just there to compensate.
Miss Fortune also does the majority of her damage through her auto attacks. Double Up may not crit but its there for the sake of being a reset. She gets the same amount of AAs in the same amount of time with the combo and without the combo so it's not like she's sacrificing anything. Her regular AAs will still crit.
Miss Fortune is punished for falling behind but Jinx is too to a degree. Her early game and mid game (in my experience) are weaker and I've often had times where I never get to the point where I never reach relevancy because the enemy team takes advantage of a lead and ends the game before hypercarry Jinx happens. Snowballing is also easier on MF. I've had good games on Jinx but none of them trump the pubstompers I've had on MF. 3 early kills on my Jinx usually means 12 by the end of the game. 3 early kills on my MF means 17-20 by the end.
I do agree that Jinx is the stronger overall ADC, but MF does have her advantages. As a general pick, Jinx is fine, but if I get an agressive support like blitzcrank, leona, or a thresh who can land those hooks, I'll go MF everytime.
Nice talk. It's good to have a discussion with someone of different opinions on the board without it dissolving into "OMG you noob. You don't know how to play"

OMG YOU NOOB. GTFO YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING
JK. Yeah I said her combo was W>AA>Q>AA>E>R because I'm thinking of her most optimal fights. Assuming your a 2 v 2 bot lane, if you manage to get into a position where you can ult both of them, you would do that and not AA them.
My biggest problem with MF is that she is VERY situational. Her ult can destroy teams, if you find the right fight. Her Dueling potential is prob the greatest, if you find the right fight.
Jinx AoE is much more reliable. Jinx poke Too. Split push doesnt relies on a skill CD to be be used. Jinx CC is much stronger and can step up some INSANE CC locks, while MF CC is more of an annoyance than anything else.
And about the kills on mf and jinx. If you get feed with jinx, hypercarry jinx is a thing. Destroying teams, objectives and all of that, ofc you are going to get "only" 12 kills, that's because you actually closed the game.
It's just my personal opinion, but I find jinx to be much more reliable than MF, and that's something you want on Ranked. MF relies too much on cheese. For example I had a game against a Vayne the other day, where she ALWAYS Q out to a side when I casted my Q on a minion. I think I manage to hit 2 Q on her all lane. With Jinx, all I needed to do was to Q>AA>Q. Maybe it wont poke her as hard, but do that a couple of times and boom you out bullied MF, and the best part is that you dont need a certain angle or a certain minion, nope all you need is mana and positioning.
I love MF tho, she is incredibly fun to play.
problem with MF is that she does nothing special and isnt even that good in wombo combo teams and can be easily replaced.
Want mixed damage? Corki and Kog Maw is better Want a lane bully? Lucien, Draven and Graves is better and scale better and is more safe. Want something that deals with tanks(she synergises with black cleaver)? vayne is better Want something that gives utility? She has none Sivir and Ashe are better than her. Want to poke? She has none unless you lucky with Q Want reliable waveclear? unless you ult then no Ability to go mid? Worse than Varus and ezreal Want to go top? Worse than Quinn Want to siege towers? Trist and Jinx got you beat.
Want to wombo? Jinx ult, Ezreal Ult, Kalista ult, Graves ult are all better and more reliable and doesn't lock you into a static position
Lol her Q is so bad and it only happens every blue moon that you can hit the enemy with the second Q because it doesn't prioritze champs and the cone lies you have to stand directly behind the target or be the only target in vicinity.
Yes, but does Jinx laugh when she ults? Huh? Huh? Yeah, I thought so.
Only thing MF has over jinx is boobs.
>inb4 Rito nerfs that too
welcome to vayne vs varus, female edition
JInx is a mostly lategame focused carry that excels in playing around opjective. MF is a massive lanebully with strong dueling, roaming and midgame teamfights. Not really close together those two...
