MF still useless and there is still no reason to pick her.
Just FYI.
Just FYI.
MF is fine, it's just that she seems weak next to OP monstrosities like Jinx, Kalista, Vayne, and Tristana.
Then she is not fine...
That's like saying "Well you could pick her, but you could also pick Jinx or Kalista or Vayne or Tristana" which is exactly the point of the post.
MF still useless and there is still no reason to pick her.
It's the same for all the other ADCs as well. Riot really needs to do some nerfing to those four.
Maybe, but mf has not been relevant for about 4 seasons. At least every other ADC has its momment on the spotlight, unlike MF.
Hell, even when unmobile ADC where considered trash, Ashe was still seeing play.
Hard to argue with you there.
MF is fine, it's just that she seems weak next to OP monstrosities like Jinx, Kalista, Vayne, and Tristana.
No she's weak compared to everyone. I don't see a reason to pick her over Caitlyn, Ashe, or even Draven. They all do her job but better. The only thing she brings is an AoE ult. Before she brought grievous and burst. Now she is all poke assuming her poke even works half the time (I just love it when her Q stops half way through the animation, sarcasm very much intended)
Except she deals more damage then any ADC but Draven and Vayne.
[{quoted}](name=Elysian Astraea,realm=EUW,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=NpX5EOY2,comment-id=000300010000,timestamp=2015-09-07T07:18:48.794+0000)

What. WHAT. WAT? What game are you playing? She does probably one of the lowest single target damages of any ADC in the game. And the only way she even has a chance to beat them is by using multiple people and one of them has to die to even give her damage on par with them.
That's the reason you say MF is weak. She deals A LOT of damage due to her Q which hurts quite a lot and her W passive, which stacks. People don't understand that her ult deals massive damage.
Her ult is the weakest part of her kit. She has great poke, and AoE slow, and an AS steroid. Plus free mobility boots. She can go head to head with any of those champs.
lol @ dudes saying she's fine
she's not, she got a silly low pickrate AND winrate, she hasn't got a good buildpath, she hasn't got an ultimate
They are gonna fix her tho (i hope for sure this time).
I'm pretty sure she constantly has around a 51% - 52% win rate. She also has an ok pick rate, nothing high though.
Build her like an average ADC? She builds something like IE > PD > LW
And yeah, I will say her ultimate is pretty trash after early game if you don't use it perfectly.

actually her pickrate is a pretty terribly low 2% lol, and you really can't play her in this meta, i used to a few weeks ago but i can't anymore right now. she needs changes for sure
but i don't really mind the fact that she's strong or not, i mind about the fact that she really doesn't feel unique in any kind of way, this is the most important thing
I think she doesn't feel that good to most people since she just doesn't do anything the best besides having an insane early game. She just has so much in her kit and none of it is really defined. Mixed damage, poke, burst, sustained, mobility, range, but none of it is necessarily the best. She has it regardless and I think It's a luxury that no other ADC has to have so much in their kit, but it doesn't feel good since her identity isn't that defined at all.
Exactly, I wouldnt mind lossing a lot of the weird shit she has if that means giving her an identity. You want MF to be a bully/roamer? well get rid of all the she she doesnt need to do that and focus on making her bully/roam strong and reliable.
Yeah, it would be interesting to see MF's entire kit dedicated to one or two certain strengths that are reallyy strong instead of like 50 meh strengths and right now from a balance perspective she's fine, she just doesn't feel satisfying to play at all for majority League players and her kit is all over the place.
She is some how balanced, she doesnt have any majot weakness, but she doesnt have any mayor strengths either.
It's the fall offs of having so much in one kit. Almost no weaknesses, but almost no major strengths.
but but but...
Riot buffer her Q and removed grevious wounds
She's "so muh bette" hurr durr
I used double-up to kill a minion, and the second shot hit a Vayne behind it. I used double-up to kill a minion, and the second shot hit a Vayne behind it. I used double-up to kill a minion, and the second shot hit a Vayne behind it. Vayne backed at 3:00.
Are you by any chance playing against a retarded Vayne? Because it sounds like you are playing against a retarded Vayne.
Probably! I think I'm in a high-silver mmr. lol
It's still fun to play the positioning game with it though :D
Well, when you dont play against retarded Vaynes, you will realize how useless her new Q is. Trust me, I played her alot 2 seasons ago, dropped her for jungle and picked her up again, and while playing a lot of TB to get the border, I realzie how much her kit relies on enemy mistakes to be usefull
Are you by any chance retarded yourself? Miss Fortune IS a lane bully and YOU have to make your enemy not being able to lane. That's why her early-mid impact falls off late game, which is okay.
[{quoted}](name=Elysian Astraea,realm=EUW,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=NpX5EOY2,comment-id=000200000001,timestamp=2015-09-07T07:08:02.275+0000)

Well thats the problem. You can pick jinx wich is a lane bully and a late game hyper carry.
That momment when Jinx is considered a lane bully....
But what isn't Jinx considered as. At least she's not Kalista though.
[{quoted}](name=Tails Doll,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=NpX5EOY2,comment-id=00020000000100000001,timestamp=2015-09-07T07:57:46.384+0000)
That momment when Jinx is considered a lane bully....
Who the fk said that?
If she uses rockets she shoves lane. If she uses Pow-Pow there's nothing in her kit that bursts or keeps her in that measly 525 range. So if she's trying to bully with rockets she's gonna make herself open to a gank when she shoves lane, and if she's using Pow-Pow her range is garbage. How is she lane bully material in her own right?
Just cause Thresh or Blitz is threatening your life doesn't mean Jinx is a lane bully.
Have you played MF? Do you know how much her Q relies on enemy mistakes and not on your own skill?
Miss Fortune is my ADC to go so that my imply that I played her. So what? People do mistakes a lot, punish them. Ever thought that maybe that's maybe the way they want you to play Miss Fortune? Also, it's quite tricky to hit that Q, but that's not what we're talking about. Miss Fortune is a lane bully which punishes the mistakes of her enemies a lot, denying them farm and making early game impossible for them, denying their power scaling. That's how you should see it.
No, I see as "If I play MF I'll need to pray the starts align so I can do my lane bully and be effective, because if I dont, I might as well go afk".
People make mistakes yes, but relying on them to be usefull is A) not healthy and B) means she cant see play beyond high gold, where mistakes are less and less common.
Her second Q hits like a truck, that much is true, but is highly teleghraped and it's cast time is really low, making it really hard to use. There are two ways to use it either A) Enemy positions itself near a dying minion > This stops happening as much when people know how to play or B) AA+Q a minion to kill it, this is the most effective way to do it, since it catches people by surprise, yet still smart players will see it coming (Especially early since her AS is not that high and the combo takes its good time).
Her most effective way to bully people out of lane is based mostly on enemy mistakes, which means she works against people that dont know what theyre doing, but sucks against people that dont, therefore, no reason to pick her.
[{quoted}](name=Tails Doll,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=NpX5EOY2,comment-id=000200000001000100000000,timestamp=2015-09-07T08:02:52.838+0000)

So what happens if I AA each caster once and then just keep last hitting? do they choose to never CS, or do they take my empowered Q?
You wait till the lane is pushed because you are pushed and then farm when you can, or just bait the Q and walk a little to the side since the cone is so small. There is much the enemy can do than what MF can do.
So you are saying you either A) let me force you to miss a decent portion of your CS, or B) expect MF to make a mistake? Isn't that pretty much what you were just saying MF has to do to do well in lane? Also, I hope you realize how powerful MF's ability to manipulate the positioning of her lane opponents is, considering that junglers are a thing.
No what I'm saying is that if you hit each minion caster 1 time you are pushing the lane. And you are going to position yourself aggresivly to try and zone. So what's gonna happen then? You get ganked. What can MF when she gets ganked? Burn flash. And you are not even considering what support you are against. Is it Raka/Nami/Janna/Braum who can potentially heal/shield most of your dmg? Is it leona/blizt/Tresh who can potentially get you killed when you trie to use her poke?
She can poke people out of lane, if she is lucky, her zoning is highly teleghraphed and is easy to avoind (at least by bully lane standards) and she is weak as hell to ganks/getting engaged on since her passive, that is supposed to give her mobility, doesnt accomplish this mid battle.
[{quoted}](name=Tails Doll,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=NpX5EOY2,comment-id=0002000000010001,timestamp=2015-09-07T07:14:24.070+0000)
Have you played MF? Do you know how much her Q relies on enemy mistakes and not on your own skill?
This man obviously doesn't play billiards, or he'd know just how easy it is to work the angles.
Not when is extreamly small and extreamly telegraphed, and I'm assuming the enemy ADC knows what they are doing and are not compleatly retarded.
But why do you only give that concession to the non-MF player, and not her? Why is it that only the enemy adc gets to move around, and MF is assumed not to be counter-maneuvering to keep them in her range? Also, are you suggesting that every plat adc that I've faced is completely retarded?
Because if we assume equal skill, most of the time is a luck based skill. Why? Simple, if both of them are dancing around trying to position themselves, then that means that A) MF is putting herself in a aggressive position and B) Enemy ADC is expecting the Q.
Given the cast time there is a resonable chance that the enemy adc is going to be able to just walk away from the cone before it hits and kills the minion, unless he stood still for some reason. And that's without considering stuffs like Vayne's tumble. She can just save that for MF Q and MF will never hit her.
Oh and not to mention AI from the skills and maybe some unfortunated minion movement, that happes sometimes, it's not really 100% thing, but when it happens is really frustraiting.
No, he played against a Vayne who hacked the game in order to get all the second Qs to the face instead of having them go SIDEWAYS to hit a minion instead.
Except you have no idea of the game, that is.
Oh, I dont? Do tell. Tell my again, why should I pick MF over clearly superior ADCS such as Jinx/Kalista/Vayne/Ashe?
First of all it shows your idea of this game if you pick a champion only because he is overpowered. (In Vayne's case especially). Except that she's a lot more fun than any of the ones you mentioned, she can poke extremely well due to her Q->Minion die-> Half of the health bar back. Also that's on a really short cooldown. She is the perfect combination of a utility (since her E slows a lot) and high damage output ADC since her W passive is extremely strong. She deals quite A LOT more damage than the ones you mentioned. (Except Vayne late game). Also you can kite very well with her due to her passive, but also try to escape better than with Ashe. Stop picking on MF and start to learn how to play her correctly.
Ok, you are either trolling our you actually think you are right, so let me educate you.
A) "pick a champion only because he is overpowered"
When you are playing to win AKA ranked, you usually want to pick the strongest champ available, and we are not talking about just numbers, but versatility and reliability are the biggest factors you need to consider. Is your champ useful when behind? If behind, can he recover and hopefully make up for it? How much can I count on this champ getting fed? If I'm matched with an equally skilled opponent, what happens?
She fails in all of them. When behind, she is useless because she will lack the dmg that she would have if she were ahead. Coming back as MF is hard and not rewarding, losing lane with MF means you lost game, losing game with Jinx/Kalista/Vayne/Ashe means they can either make up for it with better late game, or better utility, both of which MF is lack luster.
B) "she can poke extremely well due to her Q->Minion die-> Half of the health bar back"
Yes, her second Q hits like a truck, but against someone that knows what they are doing you wont hit enough to actually be useful. For you to hit that skill shot you need, Your positioning, Enemy positioning, Minion positioning, Minion HP. You can only directly control 1 of those 4, the other 3 you dont have enough control over to succefully use it repeatedly. Now this would be such a problem if this skill power wasnt located in the second Q. Think about, say Cait Q or Luc Q, they can poke, it's a decent poke but A) They need less factors ( Cait it's just her positioning and Enemy while Luc is those two plus minion so thats 1/2 for cait and 1/3 for luc) and B) It's a more flexible skill, it can be used as poke if you see fit, it can be used as wave clear, it can be used as passive proc in lucs case, etc.
C) "She is the perfect combination of a utility (since her E slows a lot) and high damage output ADC since her W passive is extremely strong"
No, Ashe is the perfect combination of utility and DMG. She has perma slow, huge poke, high range engage+ hard CC, scouting tool with her W and good DPS with her Q and passive (Also Kalista but Ashe is more balanced). MF has utility, and she has DMG, but she excels at either. The slow is barely noticeble and it has a cast time, which they forgot to remove after they nerfed its duration. Granted is an AoE slow, but it's about the size of Lux E, and at least hers deals more dmg. She HAS utility, but it's barely noticeble.
D) "She deals quite A LOT more damage than the ones you mentioned."
Hardly think so. Her Q doesnt Crit, so she essentialy losses dmg by using that ability when build as a normal ADC. Jinx and Ashe have bigger range, and Jinx has crit rockets, so I dont see her doing more dmg than Jinx. Kalista has her rend and her W, she does less dmg than MF the fist 3 seconds of the fight, but after kalista gets a few stacks she will deal more dmg, but lets say it's a 50/50. And Vayne straigh up out dmg her.
E) "Also you can kite very well with her due to her passive, but also try to escape better than with Ashe"
No, she cant. You cant use a MS buff ability that gets lost after anything hits her and say "She can kite". Nope, sorry not how it works. Even melee champions can remove her passive by simply using Cutglass/BoTRK. Granted, she HAS the power to kite, as long as nothing hits her, but after that happens she is done. See reliability to understand why is this point problematic on her.
I'll say this though, she IS fun to play, melting teams with your R feels awesome, getting a double with your Q feels awesome. But they rarely happen, you cant count on them, her strengths cant carry the weight of her weakness.
Incoming from a plat MF main who's got over a 65% winrate on her:
[{quoted}](name=Tails Doll,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=NpX5EOY2,comment-id=0001000000000000,timestamp=2015-09-07T08:23:41.377+0000)

This is true, she does have a hard time if she falls too far behind. That being said, that's kinda the curse of being an ADC that isn't Ashe. MF actually has a pretty good time with catching up though, because of how quickly she can shove waves while still being able to roam the map with her team. Going to a lane and pressing R will kill whatever wave is built there in 2 seconds, and her bonus movespeed means it takes her less time to get there and back than any other champion. No, it's not the best way to use your ult, but it's a solid fallback pattern, and she actually doesn't have a hard time farming post-lane phase.
B) "she can poke extremely well due to her Q->Minion die-> Half of the health bar back"

Actually you can control 3 of the 4, assuming you're decent. You obviously have your positioning, and if you don't know how to do minion manipulation, you must never play top lane... as for minion HP, considering that caster minions require 1 AA + 1 Q to kill, it's extremely easy to use her Q effectively. Done correctly, you can actually keep enemy ADC's from being able to effectively CS (not the same as fully shutting them out of CS, but limiting their effectiveness which gives you CS advantage over time) if they are trying to avoid your crit-Q's.
C) "She is the perfect combination of a utility (since her E slows a lot) and high damage output ADC since her W passive is extremely strong"

I agree that Ashe definitely has her beat on the utility scale (that's kinda her shtick), but damage is definitely in MF's favor (we are talking raw damage, not "I stunned you and now we race to the death", because it wouldn't be fair to give one marksman their best-case scenario over the other). She gets the same kind of bonus (only larger) that ashe gets from Ranger's Focus via impure shots, and gets the bonus damage sooner. Her attack speed steroid lasts longer, and is a higher percentage, plus her Q is lower CD than volley, and she has her slow damage to boot. Her numbers are just plain higher, so you really can't say that ashe deals more damage, because it's false.
And Vayne straigh up out dmg her.
Depends on the situation. Q doesn't crit, but its a short enough animation that unless you have a LOT of attackspeed it's going to flow between two attacks anyway, so that argument really doesn't hold as much water as one might think. You need about 2 attacks per second before the Q animation really staggers your DPS enough to hurt, and you're also forgetting that someone behind your main target just took a sizeable chunk of damage. You wouldn't say that sivir's ricochet doesn't up her damage, so I find it disingenuous to only account for MF's single-target damage on Q.
Ashe we've already discussed above.
Jinx definitely has more damage, especially safe damage at range, but she's not nearly as mobile as MF unless her passive triggers. You can't just keep looking at singular pieces of the champ and saying "ooh, but MF doesn't do as well HERE against THIS PERSON" without accounting for what she DOES do better than that person.
Kalista has her Rend, but that's going to take a while to counteract the fact that her AA's only do 90% damage while MF's start at 106% and scale up from there. Rend is a lot of damage, but so is a proper MF ult. (That being said, MF ult imo is more of a reverse-rend, rather than stacking up a bunch then using it, use it to get a bunch of free stacks and then enjoy ripping everyone apart with your AA's. Personal preference there though) Kalista is also limited by her short range, which makes her dangerous. She doesn't have anything other than her Q that has any real sort of range to it.
Vayne definitely deals more damage due to true damage, but damage is kinda vayne's big thing, so I can't really hold that against her.
E) "Also you can kite very well with her due to her passive, but also try to escape better than with Ashe"
No, she cant. You cant use a MS buff ability that gets lost after anything hits her and say "She can kite". Nope, sorry not how it works. You may have missed the patchnotes, where her W started giving her passive back. I use the ability frequently to do just what you're saying I can't do, so uhm... hard to argue with results and tell me I'm not doing what I'm doing, I guess. That being said, what I would be quicker to argue about her passive is that it makes her nigh-immune to skillshots so long as it is up. That's a huge benefit in lane and in pre-teamfight poke scenarios, and is something I haven't seen you bring up. Lucian is probably the only person who comes close to being as good at skillshot dodgery (kalista's jumps are way too readable, sorry), though vayne can do okay as well.
I'll say this though, she IS fun to play, melting teams with your R feels awesome, getting a double with your Q feels awesome. But they rarely happen, you cant count on them, her strengths cant carry the weight of her weakness.
I'd love to agree with you, because buffs for Miss Fortune would make me happy, but I just don't see it. I have a better winrate with her than any other adc (save for draven on release, but that bro was op), and I really don't find the weaknesses you're talking about as being as crippling as you're saying they are. Mayhaps we just play differently, but from my experience on her, she feels really good to play.
lol stay bronze
Says the bronze.
pros never used MF anyways
You? Yeah probably.
Yup, just checked, not a single match on MF.
Omg, stop complaining, it's not like she is Cassiopeia and gets completely ignored, riot is already working on MF and are actually listening to her playerbase, not an outcast at all.
