Make one upvote blue and zero upvotes red
That or stop having threads start with one upvote (aka don't let people vote on their own thread)

Or do it like every good boards/forum I have seen from other games and remove the upvote/downvote button completly. A place where people are supposed to help each other shouldn't be a competition. (Or only add a +1 button to show that a thread is important and it can reach Hot for more people to see).
i agree too. so many things have become common place i dont understand. i miss the simpler time of the internet.
