Outside of Concepts & Creations (and some art posts), I'd have to say RiotAugust is pretty spot on.

The real question is whether boards is useless because of Riot or because of the user base, and frankly I'd have to say it's the user base.

Why? Because we just lack content. -Gameplay is literally just Yasuo and damage complaints. You make something insightful, interesting, etc.? Congrats, here's 2-3 comments from Bronze/Silver players trying to tell you you're wrong and a post score of -2. You can't even blame Riot for this one because they created Gameplay+ to try deal with that but nobody used it. -Memes and Games is pretty weak. Let's be honest. -Player Behavior is either toxic people trying to defend themselves miserably or people Facebook Inspiration-posting. -Clash is dead and we all know it. Recruitment is fine for picking up players but it's not something that brings liveliness to the game. -Reddit does esports so much better -Mechs vs minions? lol -I try pretend roleplay doesn't exist -GD is a shell of its former self. All the good shitposters got replaced with Laughing Fish and the guy who posts anime girls.

Then you have C&C and art. They're big enough to warrant their own discord and they throw ideas back and forth constantly. Those are the interesting things to see and they don't get nearly the attention they should.

Was Riot August rude about it? Sure. But we all know he's right. The most trafficked areas of boards are by far the worst parts of it. I'd much rather (and do) spend most of my time on Reddit, and I don't blame anyone else for doing the same.
